“French charm!”
Reviewed April 25, 2012

This is a lovely typically french hotel! perfect location in the heart of Sete! we had a front room with balcony over looking the royal canal. The room was small but very nice, the view was lovely, looking out on to the water. Very comfortable bed, and very clean. The staff friendly and helpful.
Private car parking also on site which is a bonus.
easy walking into the town, just a few minuets away. Lots of places to eat too.
Would definately use again, and recomend it.

Room Tip: Worth paying extra for a canal view room!

We had a room on the top floor with a beautiful view. The hotel was walking distance to so many things. The various desk clerks were always very helpful and had great suggestions for restaurants, etc.
The street market was fun & colorful. The cemetery was very interesting. The sea was awesome! Everyone in town was very courteous toward us. My travel companion speaks French so that was certainly a help. The seafood was, of course, exceptional.
We selected Sete for a Mediterranean experience. Sete is not full of tourists (yet). We prefer a laid-back destination, and Sete definitely fit our expectations.

Room Tip: The view is worth the extra expense.

We had a great stay at this hotel. It is well located with easy access to sights and restaurants. Our triple room was very large and clean. We did not have the harbour view as triple rooms are located at the back but it did not matter. You can eat every night at one of the many restaurants right on the harbour and enjoy the views then. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was as expected and overall hotel service was excellent. Do book ahead for parking. If it were not for their garage, I might still be circling looking for a space! Sete itelf was well located for touring this part of the region. Large enough to have great restaurants for the evening but small enough to come and go easily each day.

We did visit this hotel all the times when we did cross that part of the region and....with pleasure. Be sure to make reservations for your car in the garage because in town and close to the hotel is a disaster to do some parking. The rooms have well functioning airco and therefore keep the rooms closed when hot. Use the option to let reception make reservations in a restaurant that meets your wishes; that will make your stay superb! Breakfast outside do not forget to do so! Tou will love this place and its inhabitants!

We stayed 3 nights in a basic room with large bathroom. The hotel was very clean with very helpful staff and limited parking in the basement (if you get there early enough in the day). The hotel is central that's for sure and we were pleased to have a room at the back as the hotel fronts the tourist precinct which is pretty noisy at night.

The central precinct is busy and not charming, but my husband went for a run and discovered a much lovelier part of town nearby.

A note of caution about parking - we were advised not to park overnight in the outdoor car park a block or two away but in an underground park which is less likely to be vandalised.

Wouldn't rush back to Sete but maybe we didn't do it justice.

Our room was at the front of the hotel overlooking the harbor. The room had a great view, comfortable bed, and the air conditioning worked well. The staff was helpful and the hotel is within easy walking distance of at least 25 restaurants and both a faux train sightseeing tour and a sightseeing tour by boat. Street parking is quite limited and access to the parking provided by the hotel is quirky. You stop in front of the hotel and ask them to open the garage and then you drive a few blocks to the back of the hotel where you enter the garage. The parking garage is quite secure and very convenient. The only deficiency noted was that my wife felt that the lighting in the bath room was inadequate, especially when she was applying makeup.

Room Tip: Take a room overlooking the harbor.

Stayed here for one night during which there was a festival on the canal outside, complete with boat jousting which was new to us.We had a room overlooking the canal for which we paid exrta.I would recomend paying the extra rate for what is a very attractive view of a busy fishing/liesure canal
The comfort level is approriate for a 3 star hotel ,however the breakfast is overpriced at 10 euros.Use one of the many cafes in the area. The location is excellent and we were able to park outside the hotel in a freearea.
I would recomend the hotel to potential visitors to Sete which is a small but interesting town.
