Do not miss the "Sepions a la persillade" which are a kind of baby squid and the "creme catalane" a local desert. The place is charming and it looks like the family is running the restaurant. They are very friendly with a good service and a great menu.

We were four and booked earlier in the day while passing by without seeing any previous reviews.
We had a lovely table just inside as we did not want to be on the street. There is no real view apart from the side of fishing boats.
Service is excellent and very atentive with honest appraisals of dishes for sharing and when too much is being ordered. We all opted for the carte, which although was obviously more expensive, offered an excellent choice of specials.
The food was excellent, presentation lovely and not pretentious for the high quality servered.
The only slight complaint was a Monk fish fish dish came with a galic and mayonnaise sauce which unless you are a fan of this type combination is a little too heavy and was sadly left partially eaten by two of the party.

There is a good inexpensive local wine list and some regional well priced styles on offer.

Desserts are perfect and I would reccommend the. Cafe gourmand as it is the best I have experianced.

Overall I would recommend this restaurant for a good evening out in Sete.

Why did we like this restaurant so much? I ask my wife after homecoming. For the authentic no-fuss food. For the friendly and attentive staff. For the setting, 10 meters fromthe quai and fishing boats. For the price: €100 for two persons: Champagne and pastis for aperitif, two menus (3 courses), a bottle of decent wine, mineral water and coffee. Worth a detour!
Note: On the bill and on Trip Advisor, this restaurant is labelled as "Le Jrs" as in Jean Raymond Sylvie. But we don't recall reading that name on menus or outside the restaurant. Look out for the street adress or a sign that I think says Restaurant La Marine.

We visited this restaurant on the TA reviews. We had lunch there, the set menu which was no more than average, starter of anchovies and beans vey nice but the tuna and the whitebait were both overcooked. There were only a couple of other diners there and the wine for 15€ for 50c pitchet was a bit much. Overall very nice restaurant but not many diners made it lack any ambience, probably better for an evening meal, who knows.

This is situated along a parade of dozens of restaurants and I selected this with tripadvisor. They were busy, perhaps surprisingly so for mid September because service was pretty slow and the two waiting staff overextended. The restaurant has reasonable atmosphere with plenty on knick-knacks to take the attention. The food was of good quality - I can recommend the scallop carpaccio. They seem to adjust cooking times for tourists so my "rare" duck was decidedly "medium/well done" but was juicy enough still and tasty.
