Been here on a business trip and the hotel was very nice. Clean, comfortable rooms and a nice breakfast (small, but something for everyone). Late-checkin was also not a problem after I called earlier that day. We could access with a code and the keys could be found in the rooms. Staff was very friendly and helpful! Will sure consider this next time and it would also be a nice spot for holidays in Brittany as Saint Malo, Mont St Michel, Rennes etc. are quite close. The historical city center with its castle is a POI itself!
PS: I spoke French, so I don't know if English works, too.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Impeccably clean room. Comfortable, too.

Wifi worked perfectly (good quality of voip calls), You enter the network password once and there are no special sign in pages as in many other hotels in France.

Very nice staff (it a good idea, though, to speak some French, as noone seems to speak English).
We parked the car by the hotel. There is space just for 2 cars by the entrance to the hotel. A bit further there is space for 2-3 more cars.

Room Tip: Room no 1 for three persons is perfect.

This modest husband and wife run hotel spread over 4 floors (no lift ) is situated right in the centre of the old town beneath the castle walls. It is in fact a 'double fronted' establishment with entrances on 2 opposite sides from parallel streets. Limited gated space for your car is available a few streets away, but advance reservation with the hotel is advisable. Very small but clean room and bath. Regular continental breakfast. Unlimited Wifi where you don't have to keep re-registering was a welcome surprise. Friendly management who's son runs an excellent restaurant just up the road - not to be missed.

We stayed one night here on our way down to Provence, and enjoyed it very much. This is what I would call a typical French town-centre hotel - family-owned and lived in, with a homely feel. Much better than any of the modern hotel chains. We were made to feel very welcome, and our room was fine: even a bath as well as a shower in the bathroom! They do not serve meals other than breakfast, but Madame recommended a choice of two restaurants only a short walk away. Breakfast itself was pretty good.

Plenty of parking nearby, with private parking available (book in advance). It was fascinating to walk through Vitré's medieval centre to our restaurant, and to examine the château from the outside (closed while we were there).

All in all, a good place to stay.

Not a word of English but despite the language barrier the service is excellent & the people utterly charming. Because of this the language barrier doesn't seem to matter. We are normally are self-catering and they cooked some food for us & gave us ample tea & coffee at damn good prices. The rooms were really clean, the wifi worked well & the morning croissant smelt amazing. Would without a doubt stay again.

Quiet and next to the old town. For 53 euros we had a clean little room with toilets and shower in an old litle building. Staff very nice. Good breakfast for 8.50 euros. Two minutes walk and you are in the middle of the old town. I recommend

This was a quaint, lovely little French hotel. The husband and wife proprietors were charming, friendly and gracious. Our room was extremely clean, quiet, and the wireless internet worked very well. The location of this hotel was fantastic, parked our car for the day and night and could walk around the entire center of the town. Many restaurants to choose from, a castle to tour, as well as a park. Would highly recommend this hotel for a good nights stay. Just a note be aware no elevator, nor a/c, but the french charm not only of this hotel but the owners makes it a worthwhile stay.
