This is the 1st time we have ever revisited a hotel, as the last time we enjoyed the visit.
This visit we had room 105 the room was clean decor ok but this room is close to the reception and bar so you could not sleep until after 2am when the bar closed we are early risers so only got 3 hours sleep a night.
Food the same as last time good the most of the staff very good except one of the staff we seen been cruel to 1 of the kittens.
The entertainment hasn't really changed and we didn't find much to to in the area as we normally like to go for walks but not best area for walking, so you need a car to do anything.
Over all a bit disappointed but if you want a week away and like to stay close to hotel you will be ok.

The first thing I noticed about the Diana Palace upon arrival was how central in Argassi it was which made me a bit nervous about how noisy it would be at night, but I needn't have worried as our room was very quiet. Sure like any hotel you will hear a bit of noise from surrounding rooms, but nothing from the surrounding town. We were fairly central in the complex so I can't say its the case for all rooms but ours was great. The room itself was quite spacious with a sink and hob unit with a fridge underneath and a nice balcony area overlooking the small pool.
Upon our arrival we were led straight to the dining area for a bite to eat as we got there around 9 in the evening and though I think they were closing the restaurant we got a nice meal, before being shown to our room. As for the hotel itself, its nice and spacious with 2 pools with a pool bar beside the main pool, but we found the smaller pool to be quieter, at least for the first week, but more of that later, there is a bar in the reception area and a reasonably large restaurant though you can also eat in an area near the main pool. There is also an entertainment stage for the animation team with its own bar and there are different acts on each evening, the best being a Greek dancing night though this was held by the main pool, and the famous fire dancing.
As I said the hotel is in a very central location. As soon as your outside the hotel grounds your right in among the shops and restaurants, and your only a short walk away from Argassi beach, though the beach itself is nothing to write home about, but not to worry as there are buses to all the better beaches on the island. Your also a short bus ride away from Zante town, though you can also walk it in around 20 minutes which I did on the last day, and Argassi itself has plenty of souvenir shops, bars and restaurants, and you can book tours, boat trips and other events from many shops nearby, we went on a boat trip to the blue caves and smugglers beach, and one to turtle island.
A few other details about the hotel. Air conditioning is only available at certain times in your room but as we were barely in there it was enough for us. The wi-fi was more than adequate. The food was really nice with plenty of choices at each meal time and plenty of variation throughout the week. The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels each day. The hotel staff were excellent and really friendly with special thanks to Nikos and Dennis. While we were there the main pool got quite busy so you couldn't always get a sun lounger but we preferred the smaller pool which was much quieter and sun loungers were always available. It doesn't have a pool bar but is right next to the animation stage so you can use its bar for cocktails and drinks. You only have a choice of one cocktail each day with full board unless you want to pay extra, but they change each day, and local spirits, wine, beer, soft drinks etc are all available. As I said the small pool was much quieter but this changed during our 2nd week which coincided with the start of the school holidays and the hotel started to fill up with more families and so both of the pools were much busier but we still got a lounger every day.
I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for families and anyone really, the staff are friendly and helpful, its right in the centre of town and we had a fantastic time and being July the weather was superb.

Well once again I could not fault Diana Palace and all its staff. My husband & I returned again after 2 years and had a wonderful holiday we could not fault the friendly staff who recognised us from our previous trip, Stathias Marcos Eleanor all fabulous people who go over and above to make your holiday extra special. Our friend travelled with us and it was a separate booking that caused nothing but trouble, but reception were absolutely brilliant and it was all sorted it did take time but the patience and time spent on correcting things was second to none I think most Hotels would not have taken time to deal with it. I would like to thank all the restaurant staff especially the matre de for the lovely cake and the birthday song and best wishes given on my big day.
Diana Palace is a lovely place it is spotless the food is fabulous always something nice to eat the accommodation is spotless and anything you need you only need to ask and they will all do there best to accommodate you.
Thank you all for another wonderful holiday we will be back again in October so looking forward to that.
Happy new year to you all see you October xx

I really don't like to give negative reviews but there were so many things which cast a shadow over our stay.

I'll start on a positive note. The hotel is clean and well kept. The main pool area is lovely and the animation team are fab (particularly Maria). Stathis behind the bar was also brilliant, he remembered our drinks and even made my Husband a special cocktail on his birthday.
The food was pretty good for all inclusive and the drinks were better than we expected. The beer being particularly nice.

Now just to give a little background, after making the initial booking and receiving the confirmation email I realised that we had been allocated twin beds rather than a double bed. As it was our honeymoon, I emailed the hotel directly and requested that we have a double bed. I also mentioned that it was our honeymoon and queried the cost to upgrade.
As it was an extra 60 euros per night, we were not able to afford this, so resigned to having a normal room.
I checked the website and knew that the decor would be outdated, however we were not prepared for the minuscule room we were allocated. It was the smallest room we have ever stayed in, and we've stayed in some pretty compact rooms in London and Barcelona.
The balcony was also facing a wall, and I got horrendously bitten by mosquitos (and had slight allergic reactions) which were nesting in the flower bush directly outside our window.

We are not complainers, and I thought that they had given us this room as there were no others free.
Anyway, upon discussion with some other guests on our last night, one couple had complained about their room and been reallocated to a massive modern suite (we saw this room ourselves). Another couple had been upgraded without even asking! They were not return guests, nor was it any special occasion for them.

I feel that our room was the smallest on site and even all the other rooms along our corridor (not ensuite) were all much nicer and larger than ours (we could see in when the cleaners were making their rounds).

As we were only staying 5 nights, we only had the cleaners come in twice (our choice). However, they did not change the bin which is really gross considering you put used toilet paper in there and sanitary products. The bathroom was dated, but clean. However the shower pressure kept changing and the bath was so small that even a child would not have been able to lie down in it.

On the 3rd day, we considered changing our flights and extending our stay. So my Husband went to the reception and queried if this was possible. Again mentioning that it was our honeymoon (we were not expecting free accommodation and were happy to pay). The staff said they would check and get back to us, which they never did. Why they couldn't have just checked there and then on the computer I don't know. So it made us feel like they did not want us in their hotel.

The one redeeming event was that the hotel delivered a bottle of sparkling wine on our last night and the guy who brought it to us apologised and said they had not known that it was our honeymoon (weird as they definitely did). However even this gesture was at the request of a couple of lovely ladies who asked us if we had received it the next morning. So I don't think the hotel would have done this without their input.

I really don't know what warranted such luke warm and unreceptive treatment on our honeymoon, and I feel it was more down to management than the general staff. The only thing I can put it down to is prejudice as we are slightly alternative. We found the overall experience disappointing and remember our mini-moon to Whitby with more fondness.
Unsurprisingly, we will not be coming back to this Hotel.

Room tip: I wouldn't bother unless you can afford a premium suite at the time of booking as you may end up with our awful room

Dear GraceEsnaps,

Thank you for taking the time to add a review on Diana Palace hotel and for sharing your thoughts with us.

First of all, we would like to thank you for adding your positive comments on our staff and the hotel facilities. This is much appreciated.

We are very frustrated that your holiday experience overall in our hotel was not pleasant and we wish that we could have a chance to rectify your issues on the spot.

Please allow me to make some comments on your review, by answering your concerns.
With all due respect, I assure you that the management at Diana Palace has always a guest-centric approach when it comes to requests or special occasions. We always make the most possible satisfy our guests, even if this requires a cost from our side. The policy we have for honeymoons is a treat from us like a bottle of wine or champagne along with a nice wishing note.
What happened in your case? The front office misplaced the note for your occasion and realized only a couple of days before your departure. We are very sorry about this and we would like you to know that there is no scenario of bad management behind. It was just a simple mistake that we will make sure it will not happen again. With regards to your room change/upgrade, please allow me to explain that the availability provided is a very complex procedure that involves the rotation of arrivals departures. The reason that other guests were able to change their room was probably that their departure day fitted with this rotation. Of course this happens when the hotel is fully booked, where on the flip side; we are more flexible when the total occupancy is lower. I am very sorry that our staff made you think otherwise, but please bear in mind that our intentions are always to help our guests with their requests, given the fact that we have some sort of flexibility.

We regret that the room you were allocated was not up to your standards and we hope that in the future, we will have a chance from you to welcome you to one of our superior rooms and makeup with a more pleasant holiday experience.

We would like you to know that we will take all of your comments into serious consideration and we will make sure to investigate what leak in our procedures resulted in a lack of service.

We thank you for going through our response and we are wishing you a safe and pleasant time back home. Regards from the staff and family at Diana Palace.
