We arrived on the 8th July early in the am, we were delighted our room was ready to occupy without having to wait until the official arrival time.

When you arrive you are asked to pay a deposit for the towels which you can change 3 times a week, 20 euros for adult and 10 euros each for child's but you get this back when you return the towels at the end of the holiday. The safe is approx 35 euros but you get some back.

The transfer from the airport was approx 20 mins, our room 3805 was a one bedroom apartment with a large open plan sitting/dinning area with patio doors leading out onto a good size balcony/terrace which had a table and 4 chairs along with a sea view. The "kitchen" comprised a sink, hob and fridge all we needed, in addition there was a l-shaped bed settee which was not very comfortable and a built in double wardrobe. The bedroom had a sea view twin beds and built in wardrobes. The bathroom was large and had a separate and good size shower cubicle but the shower was inconsistent with temperature.

The resort was vast but well laid out, there are 5/6 pools 3 on the south side with pool bar etc, the pools were great and clean. The food variety was good buffet style but a choice for anyone, the only problem we had was what to choose. There are two other restaurants which you can pre book, the Italian at the north of the resort was pleasant although very hot but a good change from the buffet.

The pool bars had a good selection of drinks and an array of ice creams for the all (unlike holiday villages the choice is great) and the entertainment was really good although it didn't start until 8:45 pm.

The selection of alcoholic drinks was superb with all name brands included in the all inclusive package.

The entertainment team were vibrant engaging with the kids and didn't pester you to join in activities.....our kids appeared in once of the shows and the work that goes into the routines is brilliant and exceeded our expectations.

On site there are numerous leisure facilities which are free to use including tennis, squash courts, five a side pitch along with spa and fitness centre.

The location is overlooking the sea, very close by there are a few restaurants, supermarkets, chemist etc along with the beach which was fine although we didn't have a need to visit.

This resort is great, well maintained, great service, superb location and we are now disappointed to be home:(

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view

I travelled alone with my eight year old son. The holiday and resort ticked all the boxes in that it was good value for money, clean, safe and well maintained. The food was very good with plenty of choice and well organised by the staff. There was a good choice of drinks, including branded drinks, which was excellent. I haven't given it five stars as I genuinely don't think this resort is!! But then a genuine five star hotel would cost considerably more!! The resort is huge. It was full to capacity when we went (July) and the pools were very crowded. You need to get your towel out early to get a lounger. I think a resort of this size could do with some kind of water park facility or better pool for children and a separate adult only part as you can't have a relaxing swim without being hit on the head with a ball or similar!! There are only two pool areas (not counting the separate exclusive prestige area one, which you can't use unless staying in that part) Our apartment was basic but ok. The air conditioning wasn't working when we arrived and we nearly cooked the first night as we had a late check in. They did send someone out to fix it the next day. The room was cleaned daily, fresh sheets and towels, but they didn't clean the kitchen area or wash any cups etc, which was a bit strange. The resort has lots of sports facilities and we took advantage of the free bike hire as there are some nice coastal paths near by. The beach is very close, so not far to walk. It is not very big and gets quite busy. Several shops and bars near by and there was an evening market on the Thursday which was lovely. Jelly fish were a problem and my son got stung, also lots of mosquitos, so take anithistermine with you!! To summarise, we had a lovely week, it was value for money, I would recommend, but wouldn't necessarily return as we found it so crowded.

Just returned from a week in Punta Prima staying at the Insotel (17th July). We were two adults and our 16 year old lad. All in all it was a very good weeks holiday.
It was very clean.
Food was excellent.
Pools were nice.
Rooms spacious & well maintained.
Bars were good (all branded drinks - first time I'd experienced that on an all-inclusive)
Not much to do around the resort really - but as we were only there for a week it didn't matter too much.
Not sure it is a 5 star - probably 4 star would be a better rating.
Staff were very good Teens club demographic was a bit young for my lad, but the hotel cant help that.
Would recommend booking for the Mediterranean & Italian restaurants as soon as you get there as they are snapped up very quickly.
Take plenty of insect repellant as the mosquito's are very active at night.

We are just back from two week's at Punta Prima. This is ideal for families with kids, its a massive site with lot's of space and feels safe too.
We couldn't fault the food, most meals are all buffet style and a vast choice to suit all tastes. Only down side was children who had no idea how to behave at the buffet and used fingers etc, not the hotels fault!
Drinks are good premium type, bar is very busy in the evening but they try very hard.
There are freezers at each of the pools filled up with lollies and ice creams, you just help yourself, we found that great.
The staff at the hotel could not of been nicer. The activities during the day were good to get involved in and the same people who did the evening entertainment, they worked so hard but still made time to chat and make you feel involved. Big thanks to Sven, Alexandro and Marco.
The evening shows were mostly excellent, real effort is made and the costumes are impressive.
Kids club was good too, plenty for them to choose from.
Lots of sports facilities too, 8 tennis courts, football pitch, bikes, gym etc. These are all inclusive too, with racket etc all provided and the bikes at no cost.
Beach towels are available for a deposit of €20 each and can be changed three times a week so we could of not bothered bringing ours.
Washing machines are free to use and washing powder also provided.
All these things would add up, we didn't spend anything when we were in the hotel, all was provided.
The only thing we could fault it on is the old sun lounger problem. People hogging them by putting towels down is a real problem, often not being used most of the day. I don't know how they can deal with it but it is so selfish, maybe more loungers is the only answer?
So in the end a excellent holiday and I would recommend it to any family looking for a quality break.

My husband and I and our 13 year old daughter have just returned from a fabulous 2 weeks here. There is so much choice of food and really no one can complain about anything at this resort as the staff (everyone of them) work so hard and are really friendly! Our daughter loved the teens club and they kept her so busy with activities such as a Grease performance which they showed us later that night on stage, swimming, volleyball, dance classes, trips to the beach, a trip to Mahon for some shopping and she even worked on her languages as there were a lot of German, French and Spanish families which she has so many friends with. She wants to book again next year. Carlos and Lisa were fab with them all and kept them entertained! Thanks guys. There are 2 pools and plenty of stuff for the adults to do but no pressure if all you want to do is just laze about or pop to the beach which is 2 minutes away. Cannot fault is holiday in the slightest.

Room Tip: Ground floor rooms are good if you have a young family as they can play on the grass outside room ju...

This is a great all round resort and definitely deserves 5 stars, 30 seconds away from the beach so its great to go watch the sunrise in the morning. The resort is fantastic the entertainment is great for young kids early in the night with the mini disco, then its good for the whole family once it gets later in the night. The food is the best ive ever had on a holiday even though the food stays pretty much the same every night it doesn't matter because there's so much to choose from. The pools are great however can be busy so its good to get down to the pool early and reserve a towel if your having a lazy day at the pool. The staff are friendly and helpful 90% of the time and if you ever need help they are the people to go to. On a night walking down the sea front is good its fairly quiet and relaxing also there is a tv in one of the cafes that is english since there are no english channels in the apartments however you dont come on holiday to watch tv! We went last august and going again August 2013

We travelled to this resort with our 4 and 2 year old daughters. The kids club was good but a little annoying that you can put them in for 2 sessions back to back but you have to return for 15 mins in between to sign them in and out again. Not very helpful when you are in the middle of a tennis match. However the staff were very friendly.
We used the tennis courts everyday, there were a good number of them and it was never busy. However there was always confusion when booking out the rackets over timings. Apparently it is only for an hour and the time slots are on the hour. Again not helpful when coinciding with kids club timings. Some days they got funny about it which was strange as there was hardly anyone else playing. We did have a taster session with the professional coach who was really good.
There are lots of activities to do, ie water aerobics, stretching and water polo which my husband got dragged into. However we had an incident during this as a player on the other team became aggressive and held my husband under water around his neck close to drowning point.I was very disappointed in the staffs response (ie none) and even more upset that the lifeguard on duty did nothing. I had to intervene (i am an ex lifeguard), otherwise i feel they would have had a serious incident on their hands. I would recommend the staff running these sessions are fully confident in stepping in to difficult situations but mostly it is the lifeguards responsibility to keep everyone safe in his pool.
Apart from this incident which happened at the beginning of the holiday we had a lovely holiday and would return again.
