We recently went on a sailing trip around the Croatian islands and stopped in Jelsa for a night. We had family friends on another boat - they had 13 people and we had 6, and we all wanted to go out for dinner somewhere. Our skipper found this place and made us reservations about two hours before we went. It has a lot of character and a cute outdoor terrace (unfortunately there were too many of us to sit there). They have a lot of specialty seafood dishes - my boyfriend got the seafood risotto. I got the vegetarian platter. They also have a few dishes for unadventurous eaters (think steak and fries). Anyway, the food was good, the wine was good, and the service was good. I think they only accept cash, fyi! Everyone in my group had a great time, and it's so refreshing to be at a restaurant that isn't rushing you out - I'm sure we could have sat there until they closed.
Another nice thing was that one of the people in our party realized she had left her bag there a couple hours later. Our skipper called Nono, and although they were closed, they checked the restaurant and waited for us to walk over and retrieve it.
Thanks Konoba Nono, keep it up!
