Following the reviews on TA we visited this restaurant a couple of weeks ago when the Season in Hvar is nearly over. One other couple as well as us at lunchtime but the owners were having a family gathering which livened the place up. Away from the waterfront, but not difficult to find. The view is not of the greatest, you overlook some rough untended ground, the washing on the balconies of the flats opposite and then the petrol station, but do not be put of by this! The food is good and reasonably priced, together with friendly service. We had a Black Risotto and excellent garlic bread to share as a starter ( which would have done for a light lunch in itself), Tuna steak - moist and fresh, and excellent grilled squid. Two small beers to start and a half carafe of local Rose wine, the bill, including a tip, was 220 kuna. There is a large car park opposite the petrol station and, for the island a large supermarket and fruit/vegetable market a few minutes away so this restaurant is well placed if you are self-catering as we were.
