The resort consisted of two building, one is a two-storey building facing the ocean and the other is in the annex area facing the swimming pool. We stayed in the one facing the ocean, the ground floor is the restaurant, has a billard table. The first floor is the standard rooms and a large sitting area with sofa, table and chair, very good to have a drink facing the sea. The second floor where we stayed is the VIP rooms which are large with two queen bed, but the sitting area do not have sofa which is not good as the first floor.
The rooms do not have balcony, so it is not good for the divers like us that always want to rinse the diving gear. The WiFi on the VIP floor is not good, almost useless. So I always need to go down to the lobby for checking emails, surfing internet, etc.
There are two dive centre in the resort, one is mainly for Japanese guest with Japanese guide. And the other is the dive worx, mainly serve Asian guests and the guide and crews are locals. Our guide DJ who is very good and helpful to find all the stuff for us to photo. And the crew is good and helpful too.
The guests are mainly from Asian countries and local, all expats goes to Altantis. When we checked in, the receptionist did not explain the hotel facifilies nor the diving schedule to us. Just quickly give us the key and nothing else. We need to ask her for the details of the diving schedule and she called the diving centre right away for us.
We stayed 5 nights in this resort in May and we are the only guests for most of the time. Since we paid for full board, and we are the only guests having dinner in the resort at night. I can't tell if it is good or bad, but it is too quiet all the time and quite strange that no other guests. On our last day, there are 160 persons came to the resort to have the summer outing, what a big event and intersting to see the contrast. Many more staff on that day we didn't see before and they are all busy setting the tables, serving the food, etc. And they told us that there will be a wedding event on the next day too....
The food is Filipino-Western, mix and match. Not particular good nor bad, but you won't be hungry if you are not too picky.
The location of the resort is in the Dauin area along the beach, there are other few resorts as well. You have to walk 5 to 10 minutes back to the main road if you want to find convenience store or jeepney to the town. You can buy snacks, beers, drink from the store easily and the jeepney to town is just 30 minutes ride.
The new Robinson place in town is the largest and newest shopping mall, a large supermarket and many restaurants, etc.
