We stayed here in November/Dezember 2012. The english owners are lovely and have built the resort with lots of care and love, the owner himself is an architect and both are diveinstructors who have been living in the Philippines for years so you can imagine that it all works very well, they very personal take care of every customer and their needs...beautiful rooms, lovely garden, great spa and very professional diveshop. Lovely pool with a nice view of the ocean. Great great food, if a bit pricey for philippine standard but they use very high quality ingredients, some of which are imported so the price is justified. Extra menues for kids. A bit remote location which is lovely but not really much in walking distnace although the resort can arrange a taxi to town anytime. We had fun in using the local jeepneys but they are only regular during daytime so you have to consider that. Apo Island offers fantastic diving with colourful soft corals and loads and loads of big turtles which are not very shy ...great diveboat, great diveguides, diveschedule is planned with respect to guests wishes. Great also for kids, the beach is safe and shallow (dark sand). A Yaya (nanny) can be provided anytime at a small charge. We are able to take our kids simply with us on the big diveboat when going diving, they loved it and the boat crew took great care of them when we were under water. When our daughter had a kind of bite on her ear that was swollen the staff went out of their way to get her some medicine to put on it and drove to the next pharmacy to gte her soemthing straight away. Negros offers some beautiful excursion possibilities as well which the hotel can arrange. All in all a brillliant place at a bit of a higher price but the price is well deserved and you get what you are paying for - if not more :) ...we loved it and would go there again anytime ! if you are looking for budget accomodation though this is obviously not the place :) and it doesnt intend to be...
