I stayed here at the weekend and really enjoyed it. I booked in on a special that included dinner. The staff could not do enough for us and made us feel really special. The resturant staff were amazing and the food was great.

nice hotel in the small town of bunclody. very clean and friendly, with two decent restaurants in the hotel - good thing, since the town had few options for food. breakfast room on top of the hotel was lovely with views of the river and nearby hills, and the buffet was great (including the irish porridge). the room was spacious and comfortable. the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable and answer questions.

We got a good deal to stay in this hotel on a Sunday night. The staff were very welcoming and helpful but... the carpet in the room was stained and needs replacement, the fan in the bathroom was really noisy as it was blocked up with dirt (we had to fix it ourselves at 12 midnight as we could not sleep with the noise), really damp smell in the bathroom probably because of the faulty fan, the cooked breakfast was poor. On the plus side dinner in the bar was fine. Overall it is ok and better for families rather than couples.

What a fantastic relaxing time we had at this hotel. I my husband and small baby just had a relaxing time. The pool was spotless and had fantastic children facilities. The steam room might need a bit of an update but the Jacuzzi was fantastic. The walks to the golf course were magical with squirrels running around and old trees and beautiful lakes. The food is just 5 star quality and you never want for more. The Staff are so friendly and very happy. I asked staff members have they worked here long and they replied some have worked their from day 1 and are like a big families and it shows!! When we arrived the cot was already set up and we arrived late so the porter made us sandwiches and let us have this on the house as we looked thirsty and hungry and gave us a great start to our weekend. Fantastic hotel and fantastic welcome...well done Carlton Millrace

Overall the Hotel was very well kept but the bedroom had a massive stain on the carpet with smaller ones scattered around. Gone beyond cleaning I would think. There was only one small bar of soap in bathroom and no toilet brush. The shower temperarture regulator was broken and the loo seat needed replacing, veneer worn away.
There was a good selection of cereal and fruit etc for breakfast but the cooked section left a lot to be desired. It was lying around too long after being cooked and was very hard, not enjoyable at all.
Staff were very friendly, going out of their way for people.
Only value for money if you go on a deal, full price smells on MONOPLY.
