Located at most important MG road. you have to go two stairs before you reach to reception than one or more floors for your room . Second floor facing to MG road is the best sight. Your vehicle can not reach there but no isue porters are easyly available @ 20 - 50 rupees. Rooms are average but comfortable with cordial staff, reasonablely good food, clean linen & bathroom. view of MG road is amazing from your window. Remember to not purchase any thing from sight seeing places as they are at least 20% costly. All purchasing shall be done from MG road which is all at one place at reasonable price.
Places you must visit are Ban Jhakri Falls, Nathula, Baba Mandir , Tsangu Lake, Flower show, Ganesh temple etc.Natural beauty is amazing & one should take every chance to visit Gangtok. One thing i will never forget is my enjoyment with Hindi Marwari Holi Songs on Duff for 3 consecutive night before Holi.

We were a group of 7. We booked two double and one triple bedded room. The room was good. Neat and clean. The toilet was also very clean. Upholstery and getup of the room was quite good. The location of the hotel was excellent. What we disliked is that, there was no service. We had to carry our own luggage. We had to carry our luggage till our room at 2nd floor and also uptill the approach of the hotel which is quite high.
So, do not expect any service from this hotel

Room Tip: Choose the rooms facing the mall. You will get a good view then and preferably on 2nd floor.

Me and my wife stayed here on the 16th and 17th of February 2013. First of all the hotel is very centrally located on M.G. Marg but the entrance is very narrow. You have to climb two flight of stairs to get to the reception. The hotel staff was inadequate and we had to carry our luggage ourselves. If old people are travelling with you then you should hire a porter since cars are not allowed in this area of M.G. Marg where this hotel is situated. The reception staff, a lady, was friendly and was quick to send us to our room after check in. We again had to carry our staff from the reception to the room. This was a put off factor for us. But just after we checked in we were served with hot drinking water in a flask which was a great relief considering the fact that the weather was pretty cold.

The rooms were average to good. We were given room no. 211 which overlooks the M.G. Marg market. I have uploaded an image of the view from our room. The hotel is very centrally located and you won't get to hear horns of cars and vehicles which is not allowed in this part of the city so sleep quality was great. The toilets were particularly good and clean. Even cleaner than the rooms! (Image uploaded) Considering the price of the room (Rs.1400/- per night inclusive of taxes) the rooms were good. There are some rooms which do not have any view so please check your room before you check in.

The hotel's restaurant (Masala Restaurant) is a multicuisine restaurant and the food quality is good. Food tastes good as well.

Overall I would rate it as average to good.

Room Tip: Opt for a room on the front side of the hotel and 2nd floor. They are with good view but all rooms d...

Had a great stay from 25th Oct. to 29th Oct., 2012. Situated at the best place of the MG Marg, the center of attraction of the city. Bubbling service of the young team is a really worth mentioning. Though the Manager, Mr. Bhutia had been lying sick for the last three months, the young staff managed the hotel well. Special mention can be made of Jaya- the receptionist, who is always ready to help the visitors with a smile. She never minds to be a room attendant if required. That's the spirit of the staff!
Masala- the restaurant offers good food but is costly for a traveller.

Room Tip: Always have a booking on the upper floors of the hotel to have the best view of the bustling MG Road...

We were 8 person from Bangladesh and stayed there for couple of days from Sep 1st, 2012. From there we have travelled south & west sikkim. The hotel is on the MG Road, 3/4 minute walk from the point where taxi will drop you off. The location is great (absolutely loved the area). The hotel rooms are comfortable enough and service is good. The hotel staffs are very helpful. I will also recommend their restaurant. We are very thankful to Mr. Sanjog (manager) for helping us out and for his suggestions.
Travel Tips:
1. Avoid rainy season, as there will be land slides but you will get to see lots of breath taking water falls. Recommended season: Mar-May.

Room Tip: 1. Upstair rooms facing the roadside has better view. Since there is no elevator so If you have prob...

Our group stayed 2 nights. Had to carry our own luggage because hotel's located at the side-lane along M.G.Marg, the pedestrian thoroughfare of Gangtok, where vehicles are prohibited in this area of town. From the lobby, walk down 3 flights of stairs and you're standing at the Mall Road already! Most shops closed by 5pm but street vendors & stalls operate till late. Hotels in Sikkim have no lifts so one has to climb up/down to your rooms. Our room was big, with no window, the beds were rather narrow, blankets were stale-to-the-touch and the shower faucet dripped all night long. Room's cleaned everyday. Hotel manager's talkative fellow and very helpful. The restaurant 1 flight below (Rstnt Masala) serves yummy food, service's very good. To take public transport (or go to your vehicle), we climbed up/down the narrow paths along the back side-lanes to the taxi terminal located on another level of the street. Yes, Gangtok is rather hilly......

Room Tip: The higher your room, the better your view (of the mountain range), esp. in the mornings!
