We booked four nights at the hotel January 2014. It is just one up from staying in a hostel. We had a twin room at the entrance side with a small fridge and kettle/cups. I was surprised at the standard of people using this hotel very high indeed. If you are used to luxury hotels avoid the Andreas. We had read reviews beforehand so knew what to expect. The staff were very helpful and the hotel although very very basic was cleaned everyday. There is a nice patio outside where you can sit and chat and there is also a comfy lounge with an internet (which is reasonably priced to use and they will print your boarding card etc for you). It is so convenient for the beach. For 40euros a night you get what you pay for. Downside is the thin walls , you can hear everything going on next door. Bring your ear plugs.

Room Tip: I believe the rooftop rooms are better. There is no restaurant on site but plenty to choose from ar...

have just had a weeks holiday at the hotel andreas, as with all the reviews i found the hotel very clean. the rooms were cleaned to a very high standard every day. the towels were changed daily the reception staff were excellent. the supplied the extra blankets i needed. the hotel is in an excellent position few minutes from the beach and also the bus station. you can get a bus to any part of the island from there. i did take ear plugs with me as i had read previous reviews i did use them but had good nights sleep. but try and not get a room overlooking the petrol station. all in all i would book this hotel again and intend to rebook for june. basically you get what you pay for , but good value for money

2* Hotel Andreas, Los Cristianos, Tenerife

Pros: Good location close to beach and shops but slightly away from the main areas so not too noisy for sleeping. Receptionists and maid very nice and helpful, beds and pillows quite comfortable, hot running water available all day, tea and coffee making facilities available in the room and a small fridge. Shutters enclosed the balcony so you could have the glass doors open to let fresh air flow through the room (room was uncomfortably warm otherwise) but still have privacy. On the balcony was a convenient pull out clothes drier and table and 2 chairs, in the wardrobe there was a spare pillow, 2 blankets and a safe. No mosquitoes. Most importantly, the 3rd floor room was very clean.

Cons: Room wasn't ready on our day of arrival until 3.30pm, no swimming pool, no A/C, no TV, wi-fi didn't work or was very slow, fridge wasn't very cold, no hairdrier, no full length mirror, shower tray leaked at the bottom, no plug for the sink, shower head didn't fit into the wall mount properly so you had to hold the shower head in your hand when showering, walls are so thin you can hear your neighbours' conversations.

Didn't spend much time in the room during the day and put ear plugs in to sleep at night. Average daytime temperature was 24C, average nighttime temperature was 16C. Free wi-fi is available in lots of bars and restaurants so use theirs when you're out and about.

Would stay there again (though only during the cooler months because there is no a/c, so it would be too hot for me during the summer) as the location is great and the hotel has high standards of cleanliness. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the promenade and surrounding streets of Los Cristianos were very well maintained - the bins were emptied regularly, there was very little litter, plants were well kept and there were no mosquitoes whilst we were there. Also, there are a plethora of high quality restaurants serving tasty food at much cheaper prices than in the UK. We wanted a cheap winter break in the sun, staying in clean accommodation and eating and drinking at reasonable prices. We got this and more. The promenade area stretching from Los Cristianos to Fanabe (which is as far as we went) is easy to navigate if you have children in pushchairs or if you have mobility problems, as there is a level path all the way. Whilst we were there in NOV, the majority of the tourists were mature, older people and families with young children were in the minority. This suited us as we were after somewhere quiet but still with a bit of life. Just as well that TV was not automatically included in the room. Our neighbours on one side may have been slightly deaf (their conversations were rather loud) and if they'd had a TV, the volume would probably have been on quite high. As the walls were thin enough to hear conversations, a TV program would've been even worse. This is a basic, budget hotel and you get what you pay for.

Oh yes its cheap, but its not cheerful. Do not be tempted to stay here - its not worth even this low price!
The room was so small you had to enter one person at a time, the view was a brick wall opposite.
The bathroom was so stained and dated you would rather not use it at all.
We did not find anyone helpful, in fact very impersonal.
No TV, no AC, no dressing table, no chair, just an uncomfortable bed and a wardrobe thats it!
next time we will pay more and look elsewhere as this is no place to be on holiday!

Room Tip: Dont bother!

The best things about this hotel are the very helpful and pleasant staff and the price. Everything was very clean but facilities are minimal. You can get a coffee from the machine but for breakfast you need to find alocal cafe, of which there are many. Because the balconies are all interconnecting if there's any noise it does carry if you have your window open. But I think its fine for a stop over and we've booked again early next year.

I stayed here for a week with my mates, they has a single room each and I was 'lucky' enough to have a twin room.

We flew from Gatwick with Norwegian Who were good despite a small technical fault on the way out.

Anyway back to the hotel...check in was very quick and easy and a room safe was 10 euros. The room I was allocated was a twin bedded room with a full bath on the petrol station side of the hotel, my mates were given single rooms with shower cubicles!! My room was clean but dated just like all the other reviews say but I found the bed to be comfortable BUT you will need ear plus to sleep at night because of the noise from outside people shouting, vans delivering stuff as well as other on floors above moving their furniture during the early hours of the morning!! The rooms do not have air conditioning so if you slept with the doors closed you were hot and if you slept with the doors open you suffered because of the outside noise. The maids came in every day and they cleaned the room, made the bed and I gad a clean supply of towels.

I think If you were allocated a room on the entrance side of the hotel the sleep quality would be better.

The hotel staff are very nice and p;pleasant and all speak very good English.

would I stay here again.....only if the hotel could guarantee a room on the quiet side or if they improved the quality of their double glazing!!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the residential side

Budget place. Very basic. Clean. Staff helpful. Fresh towels every day. Nothing to complain about. If you decide to book a cheap place in a good location don´t expect luxury. I was pleased that is a bit off the main roads. Would book again.
