“First couples holiday!”
Reviewed February 12, 2014

My boyfriend and i decided to go here in November for seven days after reading the reviews i was slightly worried but when we got there the hotel met all our expectations and more. Our room was perfect, clean and tidy. The pool area was beautiful and kept clean also. The hotel is in a perfect quiet location that only takes a ten minute stroll down to the main bars and restrunts. We also walked into Las Americas one day which only took 40 minutes. My highlight of the holiday was siam park which was amazing and we waited in literally no cues (probably because of the time of year). We enjoyed this holiday so much we have booked back up to go again in May for a week. Cant wait!

Apartments were perfect for our first holiday away with our little girl who is 6 months. We had a 2 bed apartment which was spacious and clean. It had two balconies, large living area with dining table, decent sized bedrooms and a kitchen with all the facilities we needed. Pool area and complex were clean and tidy with plenty of sun loungers. Pool was quite warm for January and perfect size and temperature for our little girl. We used the on site restaurant for both breakfast and dinner, both of which were lovely and the staff are all very friendly. Good value for money for what we paid through Thomas Cook. Close to all amenities and a nice distance walk from the sea front. Would stay here again.

Room Tip: We had a room overlooking the pool on the second floor which was great as it was nice and quiet at n...

Just back from 2 weeks at the Christian sur,had an apartment on the ground floor facing the road with terrace and lawned area at the front.
whilst there was a bit of noise from the bars opposite it did not bother us too much as we enjoyed people watching when not out at the many bars and restaurants in the surrounding area.
locally we used the ye old English tea shop close to reception, which does fish chips and mushy peas every Friday (ensure you book as many turned away)Sunday lunch is also worth sampling and is done on a carvery basis whereby you help yourself to as much veg as you like again booking in advance is recommended.
TV is available at 30euro for 2 weeks with English channels and sky sports.
Maid service is very good with towels and beds changed on regular occasions.
Many of the apartments around the pool area's are privately owned and of a better quality.
These are controlled by Atlantic horizons which has offices on site and may well be cheaper to book through them as we were given a price of £300 per week
Would stay here again as it is so close to all amenities.

Room Tip: luck of the draw we tried to get a pool view but complex was fully booked

My family and I have just returned from a week stay in the Cristian sur great place for a family holiday everything you need within walking distance. The complex is constantly been cleaned the gardens and pool area immaculate, and cleaning staff always speak and smile which makes you fell really welcome, as I said to the wife without us they would not have a job so I really think they appreciate the holiday makers.
The apartment we rented privately 16 amirillo three bedroom penthouse had everything you would need and more, own wifi air con 2 balconies and a double bed in our main bedroom.
Many bars and restaurants all nearby great sports bar just to the right and along the road for about 200 yards on the el mirrador strip called taylors lounge all football and sports on all day great food and lovely staff

Room Tip: Rent your room privately better class and really modern

My family and I have just returned from a 7 nights stay at the Christian Sur Apartments and all I can say is you get what you pay for with this place. The apartments are tired and in desperate need of upgrading. We had a 2 bed apartment which is roomy but beware families with small children as there is a spiral staircase which younger ones could take a fall on.

Reception staff at this facility certainly need training in customer service, on 4 out of our 7 nights we had no hot water, when I approached reception the woman receptionist became very defensive and confrontational telling me that this was normal as we had to wait an hour to allow the water tank to fill up! I was given the luggage room key and was expected to take my 2 children out the apartment and shower them there then walk back to our room??? Bearing in mind I was given a lecture on how important the luggage room key is, I am a 40 year old woman and have no desire to be lectured to when I am trying to tell of an issue with a service which is being provided to me....On the 2nd night I was told it was a brand new boiler and I was being too inpatient...??? When I explained that my husband was a tradesman and knew what the problem was maintenance were called to come, but this problem continued for a further 2 nights and the gentleman receptionist was no better talking over the top of me until my husband stepped in telling him of his trade and telling reception what the source of the hot water trouble was...

The pool area is ok, clean enough but very quiet. The apartments facing the pool appear to be privately owned and look nice. But no music and some scowls when the children were playing...

During our stay our room was cleaned 3 times, bed changed twice to our knowledge...Towels twice, our used towels folded and put back on the towel rack one day... Kitchen was just surface cleaned, dish towel not moved and wiped under as it was exactly where we had left it.. All sounds very knit picky but was quite annoying at the time..

The location of the apartment is very good, central to all amenities. The Orange Tree cafe bar is excellent owned by Karen and Stuart who were very good with the children and provided us with information re Siam Park and the Monkey Park etc.. Food is very good and they cater to fussy children's needs!!

On our 2nd last day we attempted to find out our coach time to airport, reception staff unhelpful so we waited to speak with rep over at the Tenerife Sur across the road, our rep was Steph from Thomas Cook, who shrugged her shoulders and told us the info was on the board, then turned and walked away from us... My husband had to chase her to ask if it was our apartment or the Tenerife Sur apartment we were getting picked up from... We have always found the reps very helpful and approachable but this was not the case...

I would return to Tenerife, we had never been before and this experience has not put us off...Los Christianos itself is lovely, there is lots to do and see, plenty restaraunts, bars etc though I will not be bringing my family back to the Christian Sur.....

We stayed at Hg christian Sur for Christmas and New Year.
This is our honest opinion.
Tv channels good
Tv itself not good / very old with poor picture
Not having wifi in rooms is bad and very old fashioned
Furniture in apartment poor and needs updating
Maid service excellent
Kitchen needs a microwave
But otherwise all equipment was ok
Gardens and pool were great
Cafeteria on site was very good
Supermarkets were good attached to apartments
Unfortunately we had a room overlooking the road and no sun on the balcony. We did ask for pool room but they said at reception when one came available they would move us but they didn't!!
Would not stay here again unless they get more into this time zone with tv, wifi and furniture!

The apartment had no dish washing liquid or cloths. In addition, there was no oil, sugar, salt or the usual condiments needed to be able to use the kitchen facility.
The room was cleaned daily, more like a hotel, but soap was not replaced unless requested. Reception would not call a taxi for us on a rainy night.
This place needs to decide what it is so guests can arrived prepared.
Otherwise the room sizes were good, location is fine with some (mainly touristy) restaurants across the road if you don't want to take the short walk to town. Beds are rock hard.
The cafe inside the resort is fantastic, happy vibe amongst regular guests and fabulous service. The Orange Tree cafe service is awful explaining why it was far less busy.
