I have to say that my first impression of this complex was not particularly good. It started with no bulbs in lights and then found out we had no kettle. When I went to reception they did not have another kettle!! Cant think any apartments do not have at least one spare kettle, anyway decided I would boil pot on cooker as I was in need of a cuppa, only to find cooker was not working. By this time whilst I was running up and down to reception my husband had unpacked the cases. I have to say that we then got another room, which was very nice but door was a bit sticky, but apartment was very clean, albeit basic, and shower very difficult to get in an out off. I had great difficulty getting in and out of shower, it was room 210, so if you are not fit, dont accept this room. Having said all this, the apartment itself was nice and the kitchen looked new. Also on the plus side we had our towels changed every day and the bed changed and the rubbish taken out every day, I thought this was good service for the price paid. This place is okay if you are on a budget, but be aware there is no air conditioning and we had to hire a fan, this also took some time to locate one for us, and they also dont supply hairdryers, just so you are aware. Anyway as we went out a lot we enjoyed our stay, and as they say "you get what you pay for ". This had been recommended to us and many people return year after year, I suppose it all depends what you expect from a holiday,Great location.

Room Tip: If you want a good view apparently ask for a higher apartment, although we were on second floor and...

Just got back from here this week. We stayed for 10 nights. The staff where very friendly and extremely helpful could not fault them. The rooms are basic but very clean. First time we have had clean towels every two days when staying in apartments, they only usually change them once in the 10 days we stayed in other apartments. the view from the balcony was pleasing, over looking the pool. Very quite too in the night time. Would defernateley stay here again. Really good value for money.

We went in early September when it was very hot and the pools afford shade from the sun with the trees nearby; There were many British people staying, all of which were friendly. The apartment we had was on the first floor overlooking the pools beyond which is the sea. If you want the same view you must book 'B' block as this apartment complex is divided into three, an central block which has many floors, and two wings, A and B (B overlooks the pools). There is a Restaurant and Bar attached to the pools called the "Alhambra", it was nice and clean and the food was good. We had a good sized double bedroom, a large lounge incorporating kitchen and a very nice bathroom with bidet. Great location, and highly recommended..

Room Tip: B block has the best view from balcony but there is a taxi rank outside the bedrooms on B Block, so...

Just returned from a 14 day holiday to Tenerifes, staying at the Comodoro in Los Cristianos. At first glance, I thought to myself, what a dump, BUT after checking in and going to our rooms and seeing the amazing view from the balcony, all my fears disappeared. Ok, it's a bit dated and basic, but it has all you need for a self catering holiday plus the views were breathtaking. We stayed in room 207, and were facing the pool and sea. There was entertainment in a restaurant in front of us and that was very enjoyable while not having to move from your own balcony. There were a couple of the staff that had no idea how to speak English, and I doubt if they could speak Spanish as we tried both languages with one man on reception, and all he did was smile!! The bar is run by English people, and there's happy hour from 3.00 - 6.00. For the price we paid for two weeks stay here, it was all we could ask for and more considering the location. We will definitely come back to stay here and will also recommend it to friends/family.

Room Tip: As long as you ask for sea/pool view room, you wont be disappointed.

Stayed here for 14 nights and enjoyed every minute. The rooms are a bit basic but totally adequate for a family stay. Some staff are more helpful than others but on the whole it was great value for money. The location is amazing as just off the main promenade and looks out over the sea. My kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool which was cleaned every day.

Stayed here on the 6th July 2013 for 14nights, but never got that far. The morning on the 7th July 2013 it turned into a nightmare after stepping out on the balcony I slipped on the damaged runner and broken tile by the door , which involved me breaking 2bones in my ankle, hotel staff very unhelpful no information on what to call to reception so my boyfriend had to leave me to go and get help. All they had to say was sorry when my boyfriend returned to pick up bags, not good enough in my eyes, whole building needs to be knocked down and rebuild.

As previous reviews indicated, the general decor of the building is dated but our Studio appart (room 810) was very clean and bright. Although we were on the side of building, we had sea view and half pool view. It was equipped with a few pans, plates, glasses, cutlery etc but maybe not enough to cook meals if you are going with the idea to cook every day. the kitchen area only had an electric four plate hob but did have a large fridge freezer to keep drinks cool and milk just to make a coffee etc. It also had a small elec kettle and toaster. The room was cleaned every two days with change of towels and the bed changed once during our ten day stay. Please note though, there is no air conditioning and it was hot and stuffy during the night (29 Aug to 8 sept 2013) so we we bought a small fan from a local chinese supermarket for 13.5 euros and it was a godsend. There is a notice in reception that fans can be hired but we were told by another resident they were approx 40 euros with 10 back when returned! The staff were more than helpful and friendly too. The safe in the room was 30 euros with 10 back when the key returned. The Ocean Bar underneath the apparts was really nicely decorated, drinks were not overly expensive and they did have a happy hour 3pm til 7pm each day (1 euro pint beer, 2 cocktails 5 euros) The bar overlooked the pool area which was a decent size and also had a good size kids pool too. A key was given for the gate to the pool area and could also be used to open the gate leading out to the sea front to save walking round the block to the main entrance. We found the resort one of the cheapest we have been to for eating out and drinking - lots of places sold 1 pint local beer for 95 cents/one euro (80 pence - yes 80 UK pence) (the Abora restaurant on the sea front sold the coldest beer ever and the staff were all friendly). Full english breakfasts ranged from 2.50 to 3.50 euros, most places offered 3 course eve meals for 8.80 euros but normal items on menu were also cheap enough. We had an all you can eat chinese buffet for 6.50 euros (Fu Lin - upstairs on sea front). The beach and harbour had a nice board walk with lots of shops, bars and restaurants and if you walk to the end of the harbour and walk thru the underpass you find yourself at Puerto de las vistas beach (we had Paella at Presidents - 20 euros for 2 persons - lush) This leads onto Playa de las Americas (prob 20 min walk from Comodoro). There are numerous shops, bars, restaurants and shopping malls. You can walk along the seafronts for miles! Away from the seafront its a lovely place with local bars, restaurants and shops and a lovely piqturesque church in the community square. All in all we will certainly go back to the Comodoro and indeed Los Cristionos! Lovely place, plenty to do!

Room Tip: Higher floors will give brilliant views
