Stayed at Paradise from 10th Sept 2010 for 1 week. This is our 2nd holiday to this hotel this year. We were All Inclusive and it is so worth it. There is food to suit all needs and the local drinks, especially the wine were great. The best pool is away from the main area, through the alley behind the main pool bar. It is nice and quiet there. There is also a poolside bar which has all of your drinks, as well as burgers, hot dogs, chips and a salad bar. This is also part of the All Inclusive. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

The hotel itself is at the top of hill but it is not steep and it is only a couple of euros in a taxi back up if you can't make it up at the end of a night out. We ate out a few times while we were there for a change. Taylors Lounge is just down a bit from the hotel and they are so friendly and welcoming. The food is beautiful especially the "Crunchy Chicken" with its secret recipe. We ate in the Slow Boat Chinese and a lovely italian called Little Italy. These were on down into Los Cristianos and the food was first class. I have to give a very special mention to "La Luna" Italian restaurant which is just down at the bottom of the hill of the Paradise Park. The food was fantastic and the fresh made Garlic Bread and the Spag Bol with the fresh made pasta is the best I have ever had.

We also went to Siam Park. I have to say this is a must for everyone to go to. We had the best fun going on all the slides and the wave pool. My advise is to try to get your tickets before you go to the park as it is 30 euros at the door and we were told it was cheaper to get beforehand in town and you also can avoid the queue if you have a ticket.

Please believe me when I tell you not to take notice to any negative comments posted on Tripadvisor about Paradise Park. These are obviously people who are very very hard to please and bring down the names of hotels which do not deserve it.

Paradise Park in Los Cristianos hotel is first class and will always be our hotel of choice for any future holidays to Tenerife.

Honest Review

We stayed at the Paradise Park for two weeks in September on an all inclusive basis. Check in was easy but with a bit of a wait as there is always people at reception , not enough staff. Once we had our room card the porter came to tell us room was not ready no problem we went to explore the complex. This may have been an issue to people on an AM arrival so your room won’t be ready until 2pm!
Room
Once we went to the room it was very nice refurbished with wood floor nice bathroom (no bath) small balcony and very clean. The only down side to the room for me personally was lack of a mirror above the dressing table hence any straighter etc had to be used in the hall or bathroom (condensation and GH,s don’t mix!!) the bathroom floor always got flooded and the shower was very hard to turn and I am only 37 ! The fridge was not that cold either and no replacement toiletries where left nor any milk yet there was a kettle and tea bags etc! these are only small niggles though and over all the room was ok and large enough. The TV only had one news channel for us Brits the rest was in German , Spanish so don’t expect TV in your room (not that we watch TV on holiday anyway)
Food
Only one restaurant for evening meal that did at times resemble a scrum! however the food was ok for hotel food they have steaks (watch tho as rare ask chef to cook one longer for you if you like well done) there was fish every day and the odd chicken dish. Salads chips and over cooked veg and some over cooked pasta dishes. The puds tasted all the same and the choice was poor ice cream was nice though. Breakfast again was ok but don’t expect the same standards as home the bacon was awful and you have to watch it as the egg station almost all eggs where snotty , again ask them to pop it back on the griddle. There was quite a lot of choice but it wasn’t the best quality. Lunch was served on the terrace a few times a week outside or back in the main restaurant why they don’t have it outside all the time is beyond me. Again there was the same type of thing chicken in a sauce, tinned meatballs! Fish, salad soup etc again all ok you will find something. Since we did not pay a lot for this holiday it is abut what I expected I have had a lot worse and a lot better I would give it 2 for the food quality and 2.5 for choice. The main let down was the snacks as we did not always want a full lunch but a nibble round the pool. There were chips, hot dog and burgers with a bit of tuna and some salad this was every single day. The burgers where not nice at all and I didn’t like the look of the pale hot dogs on offer. They did have paella on once a week that was nice but not every one wants such fatty snacks a bit more variation would have been nice. You could get pizza and toasties on the roof top bar but you have to pay for those. I will go into that later. There was no food available after 9.30 pm at all. The food was really repetitive as well and we did eat out or miss dinner because of this. The restaurant was also very noisy.

Pools
All very nice kids pool v slippy though, natural pool is heated and so is the little Jacuzzi next to it. There is along a further two pool around the corner with the yellow sun beds it is all part of the same hotel but locals can come in for a surcharge. There is a snack bar there as well.
Entertainment / Bars

Rubbish in a word there was nothing during the day at all a bit of music now and again that was it. We saw keep fit once and there was three ladies doing it was very quiet at every pool. The evening ento started at 10pm and finished at 11pm as did the all Inc drinks! The terrace bar and the nightclub are the only two places open at night all the pool bars close at 5.30 however they stay open a little after this at time but will charge you for drinks! Joke. There was never enough bar staff and in the club it was at times four deep with the none all inclusive people getting served first all the time. After the entertainment they played dance music until 1am but most people left before 11.30 pm.

Niggles / Naggs

All inc finishes at 11pm prompt you cant even get a drink of water, you cant get any drinks in fact anywhere other than the club after 1am so god help you if you wake up parched in the middle of the night, no plastic bottles of water at all. Being all inclusive you are not treated the same as the people paying for drinks you don’t get waiter service at meal times you have to help yourself same as the terrace bar there is a pump with larger (no cider or bitter you have to pay for that only larger on draft) however the staff don’t like to serve you they like it when you serve yourself. On day my partner ordered a bar and the lady gave it to him in a pint glass and asked him to pay one Euro when he asked why she said because it was a pint not a half!! What difference it makes I will never know; she actually pored the larger away and gave him a new one in a small glass. Same with the cocktails if your AI you have to get the out of a machine (rank by the way) there is only about four to choose from anyway that are AI all the rest you have to pay for. The night club will make the four types up for you but if you choose any other type they charge you for it so watch out. |Thye tried to charge e for a vodka with peach snapps in it mixed with orange !! he said it was a cocktail maybe but it wasn’t on the list of cocktails and the two shots where part of AI very cheeky. There are NO fresh juice mixers nor any fresh juice at meal times its all concentrated mixed with water (not good)You do get a discount for the nice cocktails and the imported sprits up to 11pm after that time you pay full price the same as the half board and full board guests. The drinks are very expensive a larger 4.40 Euro and a short (local stuff) 5.50 Euro! We got stung a few times. Same with the roof top bar it’s supposed to close at 5.30 so just after this time I ordered a beer and was charged for it yet the next person got it free! Is it a case of if your face fits? If you want a toastie or Pizza you have to pay for it same with chips you have to pay on the roof but your bread and salad is free. Talk about confusing. Oh one more thing they charge for the safe at 15 euros a WEEK! I found that really annoying they key cards are a pain as well they keep stopping working. To be honest the niggles started getting on my nerves I don’t like being treated any different if I have paid upfront than someone who is paying money next to me, I know why its because if you pay you leave a tip. Over all the staff where nice barr the odd one but like I say if your paying you will get extra smiles and attention. Please bear in mind this is a Spanish hotel and a lot of Spanish people where booked in the same week unfortunately they don’t seem to understand adults only area! And we found some of them quite rude to be honest. There was always a beach towel shortage as well you also have to pay a 10 Euro deposit per towel and when we went to get the deposit back it was a challenge ! The hotel is a 15 walk downhill to the beach and the edge of town so the less mobile will struggle we did on the way back anyway but it will walk off your dinner.

Resort
There is a handful of brit bars down the rd but not really for us they are geared towards the 50+ set infact I would say the whole of Los Christinos is for the more mature traveler or the Spanish holidaymaker. Not to say it’s not good there are a lot of nice traditional restaurants; Tapa bars nice sea front places and a small harbor. We went to a Fab Indian I must say it’s the best India I have ever had in my life (I am a food lover) it was called the star of Bengal just up where the main drag is for the bars in christianos just try it we went twice fantastic. We had a nice Chinese as well in the 7.99 buffet where it’s cooked fresh for you by the chef.
Recommended is the whale watching trip we saw whales and dolphins also Loro Park is the best zoo we have been to and Siam Park is a must fantastic. A trip on the bus to the market at Costa Adeji and a trip to Jungle park where all really good. We did go to Monkey world but it was not nice small cages and over fed animals nice to see them so close though. Las Americas is another one go at night time it’s an eye opener and in the day for shopping or the beach.

I would recommend the hotel if all you want is one weeks get away from it all and are prepared for the quirks and a quiet resort. For us being 37 and 50 it was far too quiet for us and not enough going on I feel this hotel is geared more towards older guests who are not all inclusive. In my opinion it should be one or the other. Good holiday but I would not return to this hotel any time soon to far from the main town and to many little annoying things.

We stayed here for the first time in September. A lovely hotel with great pool area,( the best area is across the alley and through the gate). Los Christianos has all we could want from a resort, good food , bars with music and sing songs and a fair array of shops , from the "bloody hell" cheapest to designer shops in the safari centre. Try Taylors lounge for a meal or a chat with fellow holiday makers and all the footie you could want.
We have stayed in Adeje on several occasions and although we love it I feel sure our future visits will be to Los Christianos and the Paradise Park resort.

Myself and fiance booked 10nights All Inclusive at the Paradise Park in August and we were a bit hesitant regarding the building work that was going on there. On the day of arrival the reception area was busy with people checking in but we were dealt with efficientley and quickly. Once we arrive at our room on the 6th floor we had a fab pool/sea view of which was a welcome sight. Room had been reburbished with everything as it should be, all amieneties worked and the air con was a godsend. Food in the restaurant was fantastice regardless of breakfast, lunch or evening meal.More than enough choice whether you be meat eater or a vegitarian or Veganthere was food for all. having read some reviews pf people sayng there was no choice I beg to differ as on ONE night I counted how many main meals you could have and it was q nice 11 main meals you could have had to go with the 2 different soups, massive spread of salads and the sweet /dessert display was fanatastic, so for those who had no choice sorry to say not all hotels serve ENGLISH fish and chips, burgers etc.

All staff were polite either it be the maid or work men on site, and speaking of the workmen they were there doin ESSENTIAL touch ups and alterations that needed to be done. Out of the 10 days there we had no disturbances in the room or in the complex due to the work going on so no spolier there.

I would definatly recomend the property to any one who wants a fab hotel with emense choice of food, oh yeah the drinks are fab also what ever you want.

Went on holiday with my boyfriend, his sister and her boyfriend. Was staying for 2weeks - all inclusive. Hotel was lovely, staff were wonderful and helpful and a good laugh. Rooms were lovely too. Beds were a bit funny however, sore backs and necks on occasions. However, the cleaner was terrible. Our bed sheets were never changed, the floors were not washed and she kept taking our card out of the wall so our air-conditioning was turned off.

The food was spectacular but a little repeditive. Alot of effort was put into the meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) but could not fault it.
The pools were lovely too. There was the 4 pools available for everyone staying at the hotel and were all wonderful. - However two of these pools were adults only (over 12s and over 18s only) - the spanish seemed to disregard this and allowed their children in the pools.

*WARNING* there is a thief in the hotel. He actually rents a room on the 7th floor (the staff all know about him) and yet nothing is done reagrding him as he has not affected any of them.
He is always on the roof-top pool and during our stay, he stole 3 peoples purses/wallets - both of which had a lot of money in them.
Please beware of this as nothing will be done about it.

Just returned from H.P.P.and i'd say it was an "o.K." holiday. The food we could not really criticise, and there was a lot of effort put in by the chefs and restaurant staff.Unfortunately at breakfast and dinner it was like a mad house, with people moving in all directions looking for somewhere to sit, then choosing their food.Bedlam! The pools are well looked after, but if you want some peace and quiet go up to the roof terrace, adults only and a nice refreshment bar, with aview to die for.The hotel itself doesnt have a cosy decor, its more like a "holiday inn"type building with rooms to match. On a more positive note the staff are very polite and can`t do enough for you.Beware the Spanish invasion on some weekends, they are loud and love the kids to run riot round the pool till all hours.Bless!
