First visit to Paradise Park in January and we will be returning. Superior twin room was modern, clean and everything we could wish for. The room overlooked one of the pools and our balcony was very sunny, bliss. Loved the adults only roof top sunbathing area and pool, quiet and very relaxing, plus plenty of sunbeds. Good choice of food, which was hot and plentiful. We were half board but in the future think we will probably consider all inclusive to take advantage of the drinks package. Appreciated the courtesy bus which drops off and picks up at the harbour,as it can be quite a pull up the hill to the hotel in the heat.

Room Tip: Worth paying extra for superior room which overlooks the pool.

We are a family of 5. Three kids ages ranging from 7-10. We stayed half board in a duplex apt from 25 jan - 5 Feb.

Staff: really friendly and helpful. Any problems they will try to fix straight away. From the waiters, cleaners, entertainment team, bar staff - they really try to make your holiday enjoyable. All staff will greet you with a smile, say hello, be interested in you and try to help you. Can't speak highly enough about them.

Food: I think we put on about half a stone each. I was worried about the good getting monotonous as we'd never done half board before, but it wasn't. The hotel changes the menu every night so there's always something new to eat. The buffet has so many options you're bound to find something you like. There are plenty of healthy salad choices with fruit available. The deserts weren't quite to my taste but you'll still find something to suit you. My advise for future guests is to find a table near a wall or at the back because you can have lots of people walking past you otherwise.

Rooms: We stayed in a two bedroom duplex apt. It was very clean and had two balconies and a little kitchen area. I've read some reviews that these apts could do with a refurb but I thought they were perfectly acceptable. Once the rooms are spotless, I'm happy and they were. We did have an odour issue with one of the toilets in the upstairs bathroom - almost like a sewerage smell - but the front desk sent someone to fix it. The smell went away for about 3 days but did return.

Pools: The pool in the centre of the hotel was great for the kids. Very warm and safe. There's another two pools out a side gate that I think a lot of people weren't aware of. Those pools have a bubble section. The top pool is also very warm for the kids but the bottom river pool is freezing. We never had a problem finding beds beside the pool in a sunny position. Maybe if it was busier it mightn't be as easy. Pool closed at 7pm, but maybe it's open longer in the summer?

Entertainment: It's great. There's a kids club that I think is more suitable for kids younger than mine. It would be nice to have a club for older kids but there wasn't that many kids in the hotel when we visited so I'm sure it just didn't warrant the extra staff. The ent team are excellent. There's lots of activities for adults around the pool area. My advise to all guests is to join in. It's a great way to mingle, make some fun holiday memories and it breaks up the day. You won't regret taking part and I guarantee you'll laugh and enjoy yourself. Staff are really good fun and ardent afraid to slag guests. Ent at night was also good fun. Two shows each night downstairs and another show upstairs. There's a couple of fashion shows that are a bit weird!! One woman probably set a record for the speed of her outfit changes. The fashion shows felt like a filler event and a bit of a hard sell. The rest of the shows were great. Snakes, parrots. Gymnasts, dancers, comedy. Quiz nights were funny as were bingo nights. I'd never normally do them, but there's so much slagging of guests from the hotel staff, they turn out to be well worth it.

Shuttle bus: It's a great service but several times when we went to use it, it had left early and we had to walk to the beach. Probably healthier anyway. But if I were elderly it would annoy me because I don't think you can really rely on the timetable.

Overall: it's the first holiday we've had were the kids didn't want to come home. I'd go back again and would do half board. If you have a room above a bar, they all close by 12pm, so unless you're a very early sleeper, it's not much to put up with. If you have kids, maybe request a room away from the bars.

We stayed at the Paradise Park during the last week of January 2014. The hotel staff, without exception were as friendly and helpful as can be.
Our room was in the family annexe and was on two levels with two balconies, a large lounge and kitchen and two bathrooms. The room was spotless and very comfortable. Breakfast and evening meal were top notch with absolutely loads of choice, including freshly cooked steaks etc. each night.
There was even a bottle of wine and chocolates left in our room on our last evening.
I cannot really understand the negative comments about this hotel, we loved it and will definitely be back.
To cap it all the weather was glorious for most of the week.

Room Tip: Try and get a room in the family part of the hotel

Just returned from a week here and have nothing but good things to say. Our room (336) superior twin with pool view was comfortable and clean, flat screen tv with 5 English channels. The most comfortable beds I have found abroad so far, excellent maid service and very clean. With six pools, two of them adults only we spent most of our time on the rooftop solarium, never any problems finding sun beds. We were all inclusive and the help yourself to snacks soft drinks and alcoholic drinks feature was much appreciated. The food in the restaurant was varied and plentiful and my partner appreciated the fish choices each night and I must admit I did over indulge on several occasions. The entertainment was varied, some of it really good, some not so great, I appreciate the difficulty of trying to have something for everyone. Nice quiet lounges to sit and read and a pleasant walk down to the front, not a killer hill as some have suggested on the way back. Walked to Las Americas a couple of times and enjoyed the front.Wifi is patchy in places and a bit slow but free.
Top notch hotel with lovely staff.

After staying here twice before, our son bought us an 8 day stay again, and the hotel staff and food did not fail to reach the mark once again, would recommend this's hotel.
The staff are really pleasant, the food is very good, as is the entertainment,
The only complaint I have, is that the evening mini disco, is so loud, you would be better taking ear protectors, so you could listen to the loud music at a comfortable leavel.

Room Tip: The hotel is up a long hill, but there is a hotel bus that runs every half hour, to las Americas and...
