we stayed at sister hotel Christian sur 2 bedrooms,2nd bedroom up spiral staircase loads of room but no fan or air conditioningupstairs too hot to sleep in so ended up sleeping downstairs on sofa bed, can be noisey first thing because you have to keep windows open, but apart from that nice place,4 pools, cafe, bar, laundry, nice staff, just have a room on ground floor if you have walking probs or back probs as you have to lug cases upstairs no lifts, taxis right outside to take you most places not to bad prices, also buses, plenty cafes,& shops nearby.

Room Tip: ground floor

Recently had a holiday at the Tenerife Sur, using the self catering apartments. Found the hotel to be ok, not brilliant but clean and staff very busy keeping it so. It needs updating to bring it back up to modern standards. There was no air conditioning, just the ceiling fan in the bed room. Facilities for cooking we're fine, only thing missing that would have been good to have was a microwave. Swimming pools were cleaned every morning. The comedy show provided in the morning was free and guaranteed to bring a smile to my lips every time as I sat with my coffee. I'm talking of course about the tactics, manoeuvring and ploys used by people to ensure they got a parasol and beds, hilarious at times. Sending kids out at ten o'clock at night to sneak a towel on to a brolly, out at early doors to attach towels, hats or anything to claim it as theirs. One guy beat them all, came in at half ten and just lifted the brolly and took it to his flat, took it to a whole new level, priceless.
They would then stand for ages waiting on the guy opening the locks to the sunbeds, having previously placed other towels to claim the ground for the sunbeds to go on. Great show.
Hotel staff were very helpful. The restaurant is pretty good and not expensive, and the food served is far better than anything you got in the town or front.
They provided a secure room for your luggage if you had a late pick up on leaving, also shower room was available, speaking of which, not once did we never have hot water, always there when you wanted it.
Overall, I would return, as it was reasonable and good value, but perhaps only for a week next time.

A pleasant enough facility, okay apartments, nice pool, not so keen having to wait until 9am to secure a sun bed and Umberella. Not much in way of in-house entertainment however restraunt and service good, nice food at reasonable cost. Overall quite satisfied with location and would stay again.

I stayed here for 10 days with my boyfriend! We got a really good deal and the apartment was great. You had a separate sleeping area to the living and kitchen area which was nice. The bathroom was pretty nice too with a strong shower. The reception staff were nice enough after seeing other reviews complaining. We ate in the restaurant here one night and had Paella and pizza which was really good! There is a guy who plays the keyboard who is lovely but slightly outdated music. There are bars across the road (not too close) which have cheap drinks. Our favourite was LA's the owners Lynda and Alan were very welcoming. The only complaint I would have is that there were fights over sun beds and you had to get up early to get one.

Before I start, having just read a review posted on 19th August 2014, I wanted to point out that the safes in the rooms are more than big enough for tablets, iPads, hair straighteners and definitely earrings! If you choose not to put valuables in the safe, then there's no argument if things go missing. Larger items can always be locked in your suitcases too, it's common sense! Also, the sun loungers are unlocked at 9am every morning and yes, people did queue up for them but there are PLENTY of beds (with mattresses). We would get ours around 9:30 and there were quite a few left. People who went early, went for their preferred spot and parasols.
The hotel is fab. It's clean, spacious and the maids come by every day except wed' n sun'. We only had one meal at the hotel and it was beautiful but we stay sc and like to try different places. The breakfast looked rubbish though so not worth staying there. There's a FAB and very cheap English bar called the Tea Room across the road next to the trip booking place. It's breakfasts are lovely and start from €2.99 each or 2 for €5. Avoid the Orange Tree as the small lady in there was as arrogant as anyone I've ever met.
Back to the hotel though, there is NO air con but the rooms have a fan which isn't ideal but it did the job. The room has everything you need (except iron, if you want one) including microwave and a hairdryer (wish I'd have known as I took my massive one, and it fitted in the safe). I'd highly recommend this hotel AND it's sister hotel Christian Sur across the road.
Top tip: if you like cocktails, go down to the beach front and pop into the Beach House cocktail bar, it's amazing. The tall guy in there puts on a show if he sees you watching him make the cocktails. He throws the bottles and glasses in the air and catches them around his back. We loved it.

Apartment good, clean & freshly decorated. Pool quite dirty lots of dirt floating about. Restaurant very reasonable for lunch & dinner but breakfast buffet choices were limited not worth 6 Euros. The hotel pool rules are not followed (TOWELS WILL BE REMOVED IF PUT ON SUN BEDS TO RESERVE THEM) I'm afraid if you want a sun bed you have to sit out waiting from 8.15am till 10.00 when the pool opens. But the biggest problem is the management. On our 3rd day we sat at the pool in the morning then back to the apartment for lunch. We decided we would go for shopping ( away about 2 hours) so we checked all windows, patio doors & front door were secure & off we went knowing the maids had not been yet. When we returned my grandson said the maid must have put my speaker in the box for me, but when we checked the box it was gone along with his docking station, my husband's Galaxy tab 3 & 2 pairs of ear rings. There are only some many things you can fit in the small safe. The only people with a key for our apartment was ourselves & maids & our apartment was facing the main road where people would have seen anything going on. But the biggest shock was when we went to report this at reception we were told we would have to phone the police here is the number it shouldn't cost much & the manager wasn't in till 4pm. We are still waiting on the manager getting in contact with us. I was not expecting them to admit they were to blame for the theft but their customer service was appalling they could have shown some empathy & concern. When we returned home we checked some more reviews & seen this seems to happens on a regular basic. STAY AWAY FROM TENERIFE SUR APARTMENT RUINED OUR HOLIDAY WHERE WE HAVE HOLIDAYED IN TENERIFE 4 TIMES & NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM. WILL NOT BE RETIRNING TO THESE APARTMENTS.
