“Most terrible place I've ever been!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 12, 2013

We had our first family trip with under 1 year old child to Teneriffe. Stayd in this hotel 1 week. It was very terrible. Rooms were filthy, there was dirt all over the owen, corners etc. Toilet was moving, fun was not on its place, also moving when on. Cleaning didn't change our towels, we asked 3 times to do so and only after that they gave us clean towels. Not enough sun beds, you have to wake up early to get one. Food is very bad. Nothing fresh on breakfast, only some very bad english breakfast. Stuff is not welcoming, not friendly at all. TV doesn't work unless you pay extra. No aircontitoner, only fans(what my be broken). No welcoming package, only one bottle of water. No minibar. Baby beds are very dirty and old.

I don't recommend this hotel anyone!!! This was my worst trip ever. Never going back and make sure everybody knows how bad this Hotel is.

Stayed in these apartments in October.family holiday- party of 6 so we had 2 apartments.3 adults and 3 children.the apartments were adequate size.we hadn't a sea view which would have been better.the pool was great for all of us.my only complaint it is not open until 900am and I like to swim early every morning.but managed my 20 lengths anyway.sunbeds not out until 900am also -but you need to be there to get them-it's like a cattle market.harder for us as we needed 6.the location was excellent.the mini market across the road, part of cristian sur do lovely hot croissants which we had most mornings.they also do lovely baguettes for lunch 250 -300euros each! There were a row of bars across the road.we drank in the Java 90cents for pint beer during day 2 euros at night.550euros for bottle wine.friendly owner.live football and resident dog named Ozzie!dream holiday. Few restaurants we ate in.1) shires down beside Aquamar.2)Margaritas down from apartment 3)Argentinian steak house beside Paradise Park hotel-this was best one.we also ate in the Chinese buffet, diowntown for 650 euros and 395 for children.we also all had a 299 full English breakfast in the steakhouse beside the aquamar apartments!that included drinks.great value in this area.

Room Tip: Pay extra for sea view.we were facing the road and you could hear music up to midnight.(if you want...

Just got back from 7 nights at the Tenerife Sur in Los Christianos, we stayed here in Apr 2011 and nothing much has changed - ignore the bad reviews its a simple apartment complex with a nice clean pool area that's great for the kids. The on-site shop has most of what you need for a self catering break although its a few euros cheaper across the road in the bigger supermarket. Special thanks goes out to Abby and Angela and all the team at Dreamers, great value food and brilliant entertainment inc all the sports - the Chubby Brown Tribute is not to be missed! - see you in Febuary. Stuart and Karen at the orange tree who serve fantastic breakfasts and lunch's at good value in a chilled out atmosphere. The thistle and dragon is good for an early evening drink whilst watching the kids use up the last of their energy in the playground. Went to Siam Park again which is still a great day out but don't take you're own picnics as they take them off you at the entrance however their on park food isn't too much of a rip off. There was a couple of new rides this year and everything was open so the kids (2 boys 6 & 10) loved it! Overall the prices seem to have plummeted compared to the other canary islands with a lot of bars offering a pint of san-miguel for €.95 - €1.5 euros all day until 19.00 and €2 euros after. A meal for 4 ranges between €20 - €75 depending where you choose to eat. The resort has something for everyone's price and taste range.

Room Tip: pool views are always good

Just back from 10 days at the Tenerife Sur. We have been to Tenerife on numerous occasions before staying at various hotels, but this was our first stay at the Tenerife Sur and I am sorry to say it will be the last. The first 3 rooms we were offerd ranged from poor to dreadful. Eventually, we paid 100 euros for an 'upgrade' to a room with a pool view. We booked with Thomas Cook and wern't made aware that they only book 2nd rate rooms at this hotel and you won't get a decent room without paying extra when you arrive.

Our room was on the 3rd floor and there are no lifts, so its a case (no pun intended) of hauling your luggage up the stairs, with no help available from the staff. Once recovered from that and settled in and the rooms were clean enough if not the biggest we have stayed in. The TV gets the 5 British teresteral channels, but it costs another 15 euros for the week.

It was really warm when we was there and it was lovely to sleep with the patio door open. As long as you wasn't planning a lie in as the maids use a petrol driven floor cleaner to clean around the pool at 7.30 !

Then anytime from 8.00 onwards the clattering of guests getting their sunbeds into pole position for the day is enough to wake the dead. The pool itself though is nice enough with a handy if expensive bar in the centre.

The position of the hotel is ok, but we wouldn't have wanted to be any further away from the town and beach area. There is a selection of bars and restaurants close by of varying quality.

This was our 2nd trip to Tenerife this year, in February we stayed at the Sol Princess Dacil and next time we will probably go back there and if you take my advice, you will do the same.

Just returned from a 12 day holiday in Tenerife, the apartments were very nice and clean we were in the grey block overlooking the Heritage and the San Marino pool, fresh towels nearly every day linen changed twice in the week, the pool area was always kept clean so long as you were up and about for 10 you could always get a sun bed and cushion, we never had any problems, short walk to the beach either through the town or along the front, lovely bars opposite would recommend Smiley's lovely atmosphere and friendly staff, we ate at the Chinese opposite a few nights which was very nice and would also recommend the KikiRiki for chicken its situated on the Apollo Center well worth a visit, this is somewhere we will return to year after year ....

Just back from 10 days at the Tenerife Sur in Los Christianos. This is in a very good location with plenty of bars and restaurants within a very short walk (across the road !!!!). Happy hour is 12 to 7 with beer a Euro a pint and the prices normally are very good with beer at 1-50 a pint. (based on local beer). There is a Netto around the corner and plenty of small supermarkets for bits and bobs but with the cheap, good restaurants around there is no need to cook indoors. Also - just round the corner is the local bus station for easy access to all parts of the island - ask about the special weekly tickets from the info booth. Also available are free buses to the main attractions - great saving if in a big family. The room was well spacious and equipped out for a comfy stay. Could have done with a bit of a spruce up but that did not spoil the break. Nice pool and plenty of room for sunbeds. Beach is about a 10 minute walk away and Las Americas can be reached along the sea front - this takes half an hour but is good for walking your dinner off. Taxi back is about 6 Euros. Taxi from the airport takes about 20 mins and is 25 Euros. I will be returning again.
