Returned from brilliant holiday in the Sol Arona,
this was our fourth visit to this hotel and it just keeps getting better,

on arrival at South Tenerife airport we decided to get a taxi instead of going on the coach only took 20 minutes and €25,
on arrival at the hotel we were greeted very politely by the staff at check-in,
check-in was quick and we was on the 15th floor in a superior room,
the room was lovely and very clean, it also had a kettle and two cups, and 5 plug sockets which all worked,

the views from the top floor was breathtaking,
the room was cleaned everyday and towels changed everyday,
the bedding was changed every couple of days unless requested otherwise,
the air conditioning worked fantastic,
the bathroom was large it had two sinks a bath/shower, toilet and bday,
also an air dryer which worked very good,
the balcony was a bit small and just enough room for two chairs but that was fine with us,
the cleaning staff was always polite and worked very hard and nothing was too much trouble for them if asked, without these people the hotel would not be able to function and they deserve a lot more respect than they get,

the dining area can get quite busy but if you're like us we usually went down between 7:30 and 8:30 and found it not to be quite full, food wise I could not find any fault with anything, everything was cooked well and there was something for everyone's tastes,
again the staff are very polite I always greet you with a smile and work very hard,
especially one person who went out of his way to greet us every time we went in for a meal, found us a table and brought us a glass of orange or asked us what we would like to drink ( Casiano ) I think that's how you pronounce it, a very big thank you,

the pool area was always kept very clean and tidy everyday, we could always find a sunbed no matter what time of the day it was,
the pool bar opened at 10 a.m. and closes at 6 p.m. we were all inclusive so it was help yourself to coffee tea water orange lemonade Coke or beer obviously if you wanted spirits then you would ask the person behind the counter,
the Snack Bar is usually opened about 10:30 and has a variety of snacks hot and cold,

the sports bar at the side of the restaurant usually opens about 6 p.m. and closes at 12 again this can get quite busy as the night goes on has sometimes there is only one person serving while the other one is out collecting glasses,
as for entertainment there was something on every night but I cannot say much regarding this as we went out for a stroll everynight along the front and into Las Americas and there are plenty of bars and restaurants along the front to have a rest sit down and a drink, then we got a taxi back to the hotel which cost about 5 to €6,
all in all we had a fantastic time,

this is a 3 star hotel and you will only get what you pay for,
in other words if you pay basic room you will only get basic standards,
if you pay for a superior room then you will get high standards,
I do disagree with the no cash basis, if you are not all inclusive and want a drink you have to put €50 onto a payment card which you can then use to buy drinks,
this is a bit old and could do with updating as it can be annoying and frustrating as we found out when speaking to other people.

I would definitely return to this hotel in the near future and I would recommend it to others.

We found staff on front desk very helpful. Booked a trip out for me, husband and 2 friends. Checked cab prices and phoned for cabs.
Disappointed tho that no water with evening meal, but found a variety of food available.
( we was only bb and eve meal)
Also disappointed that, even tho its called a sports bar.... no footie on tv and big matches were on during our stay......tv was broken we were told??
Entertainment ok , nothing spectacular tho.
so, overall, an ok hotel, not far from beach but beware, nearest beach is where ferry docks and I found sea had a thin film on it from the churning from ferry.
No a/c!!! Luckily was not boiling temp!

Room tip: 6th floor over entrance. DO NOT BELIEVE THE BALCONY WALL TO BE SAFE HEIGHT Would be easy for child to fall over top. needs to be safer

I read a lot of negative reviews about the rude staff over here in the hotel, but I have never ever thought that I'd experience this myself. I'm usually a positive person, but the attitude I got from the girl with glasses at the front desk is frightening. We currently are staying in the family room and we noticed that we're missing extra blankets and sheets, so we decided to ask for them at the front desk. First of all, when I approached the girl with glasses at the front desk (sorry, I don't know her name), she ignored me whilst she was doing literally nothing, then she looked at me like I was her enemy or something. OK, I thought, someone is having a bad day. I explained to her about our situation and she told me that this hotel don't have blankets. I asked her "what do you mean you don't have blankets, we're staying in THE FAMILY ROOM, this room is booked for a reason...." Her answer to me was "We didn't know how many people will be staying in the FAMILY ROOM, thus we can't help you". Then she screamed at me that I don't want to understand why this hotel can't provide an extra blanket.

This staff member should be fired immediately and no longer represent your company.

Other than that the hotel is clean, the food is ok, the family room we're staying at is big, AC is only in living area, not in the bedroom!

Kudos to Fernando at the restaurant for the good service.

If you consider to upgrade from All inclusive to Gold, it's worth it.

Overall, we won't be visiting again because of the rude front desk staff there.

Disappointed in the food has gone down from previous visits - a jug of water would be lovely on half board tables in the evening even if it is just used to wash away the taste of over cooked fatty meats/foods.
Rooms are basic but a good size and cleaned regularly the down side the pool side rooms would be the loud disruptive groups around the pool at gone midnight - I understand the hotel has a variety of guests which is lovely but with families staying some regulations on noise after midnight would be brilliant
