after checking in with the head warden, we were allocated cell 207, on the 2nd stairwell. As one of the mantles was on the blink we asked one of the screws to call round, who fixed it and nailed the top half of the bed back together. In the morning after some bread and water we huddled around the sheep dip with the rest of the inmates, and did some sun tanning on the tarmac landing strip on the top of the canteen while admiring the fag ends that were taking root in the flower beds.
The 70"s theme night lasted most of the week until one of the trustees brought his budgie down to the exercise yard and for a bit of baccie we had our photo taken with it. Later on our wing organized a game of " housie housie ", that was a great night.
I am now 61 years of age and this "hotel" is for the price (£461) the worst one by a very long way I have ever stayed at. All the kit in the room was stained, not one power point in the whole room-no air con-soap machines u/s-half the lights did not work-bed NAILED together-patio door lock u/s-dirty plastic balcony table and chairs-glass divider smashed up- a tv from the dump-a dreadful mattress.I could go on but it is getting boring and I am sorry for putting you through this, but if it saves just one of you at there it would be worth it
We were told senior Papac was on holiday and at times I had flashbacks that I was as well.
On a positive note los Cristianos is a great resort.

Some reviews worried me a little about staying here, but I was very impressed. It does look a alittle dated from the outside but i was told thst it was one of the first to be built?!?!?Our room was on the 7th floor and looked out back of the hotel rather than the pool/sea view. This was fine; good view of the mouintains and Los Cris, and also got the sun in the afternoons. Very happy with room; very large lounge area with patio doors on to balcony withn seating. Bedroom with ceiling fan and window looking out on to balcony. Pleanty of wardrobe space. very good sized bathroom with bath and shower. They do lack a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities; once you go back to your room you can't just make a cuppa before bed! no complaints about the food, you will not go hungry. Yes, some of the food is repeated but you have to remember its a 3 star hotel. Pool was a little chilly but fine once you got use to it. Pool bar a little disappointing; the staff did try hard but obviously needed more staff on shift so not really their fault. You do have to cue! if not all inclusive it is very expensive. We bought water from the shop close by. Food if fine for a snack. It is in an excellent location, only a few minutes from everything!

Room Tip: rooms either over look the pool or the mountains(and carpark area) Its not bad overlloking the car p...

I have just retuned from a two week stay and can honestly say it was just fantastic. Why the negative reviews I don't know. I was a solo traveller and from the moment I arrived to the day I left I felt very safe and very comfortable and found the staff extremely helpful and polite. I asked for a high room and was given the 10th floor with views of the pool, sea and surrounding area which was amazing. The room was large with a comfy sofa (bed)armchair flat screen on wall, side unit, and huge wardrobe. I had a separate bedroom with big sliding wardrobes and again very big. I was really chuffed with the room as I stayed in most nights. It was spotless, cleaned every day and given clean towels daily too. As I was allinclusive I didn't need fridge or anything because its all there for the taking. Food was really good lots of choice and freshly cooked meats and fish lunch time and eve. Definitely recommend allinclusive great value for money ready to eat or drink when you are. People talk about the dinning room being like a canteen well it really isn't, yes you serve your self and if you don't want to clear your table then the waiters are there to do it don't know what the problem is. It's a lovely room with views of the pool plenty of tables. If people want 5 star service go to a 5star hotel. I thought the quality and quantity and hard work of the staff was incredible as a 3 star hotel. Location is brilliant. Will def return. Thanks to all the staff again for all their hard work and making my holiday perfect.

The Hotel is in a ideal location, away from the hustle bustle of Las Americas and within easy walking distance of two lovely sandy beaches. Shops, Restaurants and bars are also easily reached.
The hotel is only about 20 mins from Tenerife South airport.
Rooms are extremely comfortable and clean.
Food is great and bar prices are very reasonable,

Our 2nd time at the Dacil. We went for one week 28th march to 4th april h/b we were offered a/i at a good price we did this. The reception seems a lot brighter.Got a large room on the 9th floor overlooking the pools and sea.You dont get a fridge or hairdryer but we had two good sized wardrobes and plenty of drawers the room was very clean. We recieved a tray of fruit and a couple of drinks as returning guests. The food is good and plentiful. The entertainment is a bit hit or miss. There was the usual pool sports. We prefered the large balcony very quiet.Theres the usual 8 oclock rush but theres plenty of beds. The hotel is very tidy and getting drinks pretty quick. My only complaint was the inside bar whitch had a very small section for A/I the rest of the bar for paying guests who got served first. The hotel is 5 mins from the sea front some lovely prom walks. The bus depot 2 mins away.Had a good week may go again.

Room Tip: Ours was on the 9th floor even number overlooking the pools and sea and harbour.

Just returned from our 3rd stay at this hotel, last previously stayed in 2004. Location, staff and cleanliness are all still good but the cut backs have taken the "shine" off this Princess.

No toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, shower caps etc) or hairdryer in the bathrooms. Lights removed from balconies so forget sitting out with a book after dark.
Previously we've stayed on the 11/12th floor where the rooms are very spacious. This time we stayed in 130 on the first floor. Our room was so small that we couldn't walk past each other, one had to move around the bed to let the other pass. Beds in this room are very uncomfortable -I have no probs with a firm mattress but this one had springs sticking out

Enough uncomfortable sunbeds for everyone but you'll pay 1.50 for a mattress each day.

Dining room is like a works canteen with no cloths or decorative flowers etc on the tables. No waiter service at the table, you need to queue for drinks at a bar in the dining room.
We noticed a marked decrease in the quality of the food, also that the "show cooking" involved "chefs" simply cooking lots of food on show and diners having to take what's already prepared off the pile just as with the buffet. Surely the aim of "show cooking" is for one to select a steak, fish, omelette filling etc and have it cooked to your liking. Fortunately Los Cris has many good reasonable priced restaurants so we ate out several times. .

Room numbers (about) 110 to 132 are all on the cold car park side of the hotel and 120 to 132 are immed above the service area. The noise from laundry wagons loading and unloading one to the other throughout the day lead us to believe that this car park is the central clearing depot for laundry from every hotel in the area.

I'm sure we'll return to Los Cris in the future - almost guaranteed winter sun and lots to do but sadly never again the Princesa Dacil. The penny pinching measures let down the truly lovely staff

Room Tip: Consider paying extra for better rooms but balance that cost plus other extras against simply opting...

We stayed here for the last 2 weeks in March. The Hotel is well located, close to bus station (for adventurous holiday makers) close to Los Chris front and the Sunday market. 10 out of 10 for cleanliness and the friendly staff. This hotel is 40 years old next year so don’t expect too much. It does not have the rooms you’d expect from other more modern hotels.
It suffers from a 1d pinching management who have cut back on almost everything. The rooms are small, there’s no fridge, hairdryer or air conditioning and no toiletries other than a gel dispenser at the bath and another at the wash basin. Towels are provided for the bathroom but NOT for recreational purposes so take your own towels for sun beds /swimming.or you'll have to buy them there.
1st floor rooms have the largest balconies, Avoid 2nd floor as these are tiny with room only for a seat. 3rd floor up balconies are not much bigger then the 2nd floor ones. Balconies are unlit at night and are only supplied with 2 seats, Tables, sun beds and brollies are available for 1st floor balconies at a cost, You might need a remote for the TV (5euros from reseption) but theres onlt 1 English channel - CBS action.
The restaurant or should I say Canteen is very basic and food of transport café standard with some strange offerings including green beans / carrots / sweet corn for breakfasts as well as the usual cold salads, eggs, bacon, sausages and beans. Bread for toasting is piled up on top of the toasters and hence is dried out and hard before you even put it in the toaster. Dinner wasn’t much better with Chicken or fish being the usual offerings. Top Tip get you drinks first, there’s one bar and one barman for the whole restaurant and there’s usually a queue. The bar does not serve spirits only wine bear and soft drinks. Soft drinks including 50cl water bottle are 2.20 euros. We got a 10 litre bottle from the supermarket across the road for 1.30 euros so the hotel water works out a 44 euros for the same quantity (10 litres) …. It’s dearer then petrol!!!!! You are not allowed to take anything out the restaurant the Gestapo at the door sees to that.
The entertainment is poor when there is any, we had an eagle flying round the lounge one evening.
Entrance doors to the 1st floor sun deck and recreational areas (pool etc) are kept locked until 8:00am, there’s usually a queue for the dash for the best sun beds and there are some towels left out the night before,
Watch out for pickpockets and handbag snatchers they are brazen and even come into the hotel to steel.

Room Tip: Rooms on the South East side have the sun untill approx 2 pm and are numbered 1-10 and 133 to 141, 1...
