“lived up to the expectation”
Reviewed December 30, 2012

We were not disappointed after being given the recommendation from friends back home.
Paco & his wife plus the staff treated us like long lost friends, the food, atmosphere and 'singing' were excellent and the wine was very good & not expensive.
We can also highly recommend.

“Great tapas”
Reviewed December 30, 2012

Decided to try from trip adviser reviews.well worth a visit great tapas including black pudding! Which was very tasty. We had a bottle of excellent Rioja red for just £10 a bargain with the meal. You may have to book as there are not many tables. The singing chef is great as well. Give this place a try

“Designed for the tourist not the purist”
Reviewed December 22, 2012 via mobile

Booked a table the previous day. On arrival a table was not available inside but Paco got me one outside. I then had to wait 10 minutes to get a drink and my order taken. Appeared to be very attentive to the tables inside forgetting there were 3 tables outside. As the tapas were served one at a time it took longer to get through the meal. Nice house wine and the pulpo had a lovely flavour and texture. In general the tapas were fine but not exceptional. Paco provided entertainment as well documented in other reviews. 3 people serving less than 10 tables ought to be sufficient to ensure all get the same level of service. Tables did not appear to be allocated to waiters so perhaps that's the problem. With two glasses of wine and 4 tapas the bill was €28, nearly twice as much as a good meal at most places I have visited. Go for the ambiance rather than the food or value for money.

“Dissappointed”
Reviewed December 22, 2012 via mobile

We were really excited to eat here after reading all the reviews. We love tapas and expected a real treat. I'm sorry to report that despite the great impression this little place leaves on most people it failed to impress us. The food was good, but not fantastic. I think the place is actually a victim of its own success. The staff are charming but for us unable to provide a good service. We waited far too long to get our wine order in and then it was an age before we got the opportunity to order the dishes we wanted. Once ordered the meal took forever, so long that our appetites had left the building. I know tapas is a slowly slowly way to dine but this was too much for us. The staff were running around like headless chickens and were working hard, but it just wasn't enough to keep the flow moving. Be warned, if you do dine here, don't let them seat you at the table beside the food display or you will spend the night with people's bums in your face as they choose dishes. For us, this was not a relaxing affair, frankly I found it manic. Clearly a lot of people love the restaurant, but I'm sorry we didn't. We are all different. We would not return.

“Fantastic tapas, excellent staff”
Reviewed December 19, 2012

Great tapas and service from the owner pack and his staff ... Nice ambience with pack breaking into song every now and then ... A welcome break from the hamburger and chicken places ... I would have given this 5 stars but for the food being a wee bit more than you might expect but it is quality
