After being greatly disappointed by almost all of the restaurants in Tenerife, we stumbled upon Carne a La piedra, and could only wish we had found it sooner!!
The food was absolutely AMAZING! So many of the restaurants in Tenerife are just based on being cheap, with no thoughts for flavour or quality of the food.
This is not the case here!!
The food is absolutely delicious, amazing quality, full of flavour, and just perfect!
Not only was the food delicious, but the service was outstanding!
Daisy was absolutely amazing, she remembered us after only one visit, and made us feel so welcome. I would also like to mention the male waiter that worked there, unfortunately we did not catch his name. But he too was amazing - he remembered us, remembered what we liked to eat, joked with us and provided excellent service throughout. Both him and Daisy were very approachable, happy to help us with anything we needed - even offering us blankets if we were cold, and even managed to advise us of a shop that sold designer bags (we had been looking for days with no luck!!)
We visited on a Wednesday, and had the Patas Bravas, Tortilla and the chicken Skewers - OUTSTANDING!!!
On the Friday we felt like having a cocktail, and even though this restaurant was quite far away from where we were staying, we could not resist walking a little further, simply for the service from both Daisy and the male waiter... We were not disappointed! They both seemed genuinely happy to see us again, and the male waiter even reccomended a cocktail to me which was delicious :) I had the strawberry mojito!
On our final night (Sunday) we just had to visit this restaurant again! Of course both waiters remembered us, and seemed genuinely happy to see us again!
They treated us as though we were good friends of theirs!
We had the beef on the hot stone and the tortilla, along with a few drinks.
Again the service was OUTSTANDING, as was the food.
When we left the restaurant, we ended up walking back with genuine smiles on our faces, as we were so so so happy with the service provided!
If you do go to Los Cristianos, don't even bother going anywhere else. I guarantee you will NOT be disappointed!!!
Thankyou to both of you for making our holiday amazing :) xx

Had dinner here - mixed grill - a selection of meats cooked on a hot stone at the table. Really good. No place for desert. Wine excellent. Service friendly and very helpful. Highly recommended.

“Fantastic food, great service”
Reviewed February 24, 2014 via mobile

We called in here on the last day of our holiday whilst killing time waiting for our flight home. We definitely saved the best til last! We had an amazing meal. We opted for the hot stone meal for two, although there were two adults and two children. There was plenty of food for all of us. We did order an extra portion of fries but we didn't need them!! The meat was lovely, a selection of beef, pork and turkey which the children loved cooking on the hot stones. The location was perfect, right on the sea front and the staff were so friendly and efficient, special mention for Daisy! The meal, including drinks, was €60, really good value. Very highly recommended!

“A place for big slabs of meat you cook yourself”
Reviewed February 23, 2014

The restaurant name is a bit of a give-away about your reason for eating here. You’ve come to cook yourself a big slab of meat on a hot stone.

Before we got to that, we shared a starter. In the ordinary course of restaurant eating, we’d have ordered a starter each, but the waitress warned us off, telling us that the portions were large. She was right. A single order of the goats cheese salad was plenty for the two of us. Big slab of rich, creamy, but not goaty, cheese, along with mixed leaves, slices of sweet pear, a crunch from walnuts and a sweetish balsamic dressing. It was as good a salad as you’d want to come across.

And so to the tseaks. You order by weight and whether you want the edges rolled in herbs or not. So, that’ll be 300g entrecotes for each of us – with herbs. It comes on a fiercely hot stone. You slice the steak and cook it to your own preference of doneness. It’s decent quality steak and its very easy to control the doneness, so long as you don’t slice off too much at one go.

Accompaniments are chargeable extras but, againb, the waitress advised that a single portion of chips and one of mixed vegetables (mushrooms and green beans) would easily do for us. You also get little dishes of alioli, ketchup and plain mayo.

By the by, there are other meats you can order for cooking on the stove, including what sounded like an immense mixed grill for two people. My greed tells me that I’d enjoy that but probably only worth ordering if both of you have full-on appetites that evening.

Definitely too full for dessert, we finished with good coffee.

We had the salmon. It tasted wonderful and the technique of cooking it was ably demonstrated by Daisy our waitress who added her charm and helpfulness to the experience. Well done Daisy. Hope to see you again soon.
