Happened upon the El Sol by accident. We were strolling the streets of Los Cristianos looking for a place to eat and stopped to view their menu. Out came the proprietor, Jacques, to talk to us......what a character!!.
The main course menu is basically chicken & steak so if you want fish do not visit here. But don't be disappointed by the simplicity of the menu.........the quality of the meat is well worth the visit.
There were 4 in our party, 2 of us had starters (1 quiche lorraine and 1 onion tart) both of which were generous portions and both accompanied by a salad garnish. We all had chicken as a main and tried all 3 of the accompanying sauces ( a creamy pepper sauce, a spicy tomato and garlic sauce and the house special sauce which had a tomato base) and they were all delicious. There were some nice home made desserts on offer but to be honest we had no capacity left to enjoy them. Jacques recommended a red Canarian wine to accompany the meal which was very good.
Some people might find him a bit overpowering but to us he was a wonderful character and added the extra factor to the very pleasant surroundings. Definitely the "find" of our holiday and will be the first port of call on our next holiday.
