I really cannot complain about the Oasis Mango Apartments they are spotlessly clean, the apartments themselves have great facilities including a fully fitted kitchen, great bathroom, lovely large lounge area complete with 2 sofas and satellite TV, which had BBC1, ITV, CHANEL 5 and CBBC. So all in all it is a little home from home with great views of the whole of Los Cristianos and the beautiful sea from our balcony in room 610.
If you are planning a room only holiday, rather than self-catering holiday all is well. However, the number of steps to the higher floors makes life very difficult especially in the Canarian heat. Granted it cost only 3 euros from the supermarket down the road or 5 euros from the centre of Los Cristianos in a taxi, but even so navigating the very steep steps with litres of water, soft drinks and basic shopping items felt a little like the programme "Total Wipeout." Because of the location I personally believe that this complex needs more on site facilities for example a small shop and an evening entertainment program. The pool bar opens between 12:00 - 6:00 where you can get snacks and pizza and you can book continental breakfast for 4 euros a head. Although these apartments are reasonably price once you add on the extras of 2 taxis per day in order to navigate the hill you may as well book a slightly more expensive hotel closer to the resort centre, we spent at least 10 euros plus tips on taxis every day.
On the whole the staff are very friendly and helpful, especially the girls who work on the reception desk during the day shift and the cleaning ladies, however the gentleman who worked on the evening shift was very abrupt and quite rude at times. Perhaps this was due to his limited English vocabulary; however I could not help but notice that he treated younger guests very differently? For example they were allowed to play pool at 11.30 each night, whilst making lots of noise and using offensive language in front of my 10 year old as we passed to get to our room. However, when my son asked to play at 10:00 one evening, he was told it as not allowed by the same guy on reception? When I asked him why he could not give me a reply I asked what we had done wrong because he let the others play … he said nothing just that my son could not play.
Would I return again? If I was guaranteed a room on the first or second level I may consider it otherwise I would have to say no thank you.

Room Tip: If you stay at these apartments you need to request a room on a lower floor i.e. 1st or 2nd floor but certaintly not any higher than the 4th level. The apartments are very quiet at night due to location so no problems there.

It is on the outskirts so it is not as busy, however there are plenty of tasty restaurants and bars within walking distance. Great apartment, very clean and relaxing. Nice balcony too. Great wee place!

Lovely apt very comftable, spacious clean and I was impressed that there was a freezer in the kitchen plus microwave. Now the negatives, loads of steps location not the best the hill that its situated on is a bit of a killer walking up,the pool bar was only open 12-6,no shop on site so if u run out of anything its a trip down the hill to the supermarket,no free wifi. There are restaurants and bars a short walk down the hill but not a good place if you have walking difficulties, but if you like a bit of music Bar 39 is the place to go.

We (my husband & I) have just returned from a superb fortnight at Oasis Mango.

The apartment was very spacious, with an adequately equipped kitchen area and decent-sized bathroom.

Located up on the hill, it was a 10-15 minute walk for us to the sea. The hill isn't particularly steep - it's more of a gradual incline and if you don't feel like walking, it's €3 in a taxi (which are plentiful).

The pool area and bar were great - plenty of sunbeds & parasols that were free of charge. Bar prices a little steep, but the chap working there was great - very friendly & helpful. We only ate lunch once, and it was delicious (the 'Oasis Mango' burger).

There is a 'DialPrix' supermarket just down the hill from the apartments which is open 7 days until 9.30pm, and just beyond the supermarket there is a selection of restaurants including Indian, Chinese, Italian & Mongolian. So you don't have to venture far for a night out every night if you don't fancy it!

We booked a couple of excursions through reception, which was cheaper than many of the agents we enquired with in Los Cris & Las Americas. Highly recommended is the Mt. Teide-Masca tour, which was a full day and cost around £28 each. Loro Parque was ok - it's worth a visit, but Siam Park (the waterpark) was so good we went twice!

So to summarise, Oasis Mango has the friendliest, most helpful staff we have come across in many years of travelling. The well equipped apartments are located a short walk from the main centre but the hillside location makes the views worth it!

Me and my friend stayed here in April. on arrival the reception was nice and being in room 209 there wernt to many steps. however the room itself was not clean and very basic, there were hairs on the floor, and bed sheets, dead cockroach by the fridge and the light outside the door didn't work for the whole holiday even when we asked twice. The room looked very tired but by talking to other people it sounds like the rooms on the top floors had been done up.& were modern. we did ask to move room as soon as we got there but you have to pay another 30euro so we stuck with it. the pool area was always clean and plenty of sunbeds to choose from. It could do with having a shop onsite but the shop 5mins away is fully stocked. Bars and restaurants also close by. there is a really nice Italian called bistro!
