Stayed at Kamari Hotel in July 2012 for 6nights. Room and bathroom was clean, big and in the best location! Bus stop to the city was at the main entrance to the hotel. The the Platis Gialos beach was a 2minute walk where you can swim, lay on a beach chair under an umbrella, eat and catch a boat to Paradise and Super Paradise!

Buffet breakfast with a massive variety of foods! Bar where you can chill out! Best atmosphere, friendly staff! Would definitely recommend this hotel to all my family and friends and would definitely stay again!

Stayed here for one week in August 2012 - our first trip to Mykonos. This is a great value hotel in a fantastic location in Platis Yialos, just up the hill from the beach and restaurants. Bus stop to Myknonos town is right outside the hotel, but at busy times you would be very lucky to get on - just walk 100 yards down the hill to where the bus turns round and fight you way on through the crowds. Very efficient and helpful staff - Yiorgos answered all my e-mail queries very propmptly and professionally. The best feature of the hotel though is the swimming pool which someone told me is one of the largest on the island(?). Also the guy who runs the pool bar is very friendly and helpful. All in all a great place to stay - I'd highly recommend it!!!

Room Tip: Try to get a room overlooking the pool.

Great location right up the hill from the Platys Gialos Beach. Easy walk to beach and you go by two mini marts where you can pick up basic items. You can also take a boat to other beaches and the bus to Mykonos Town stops right in front of the hotel. Clean rooms with lots of space. I booked a room for 4 people and had a large separate bedroom with balcony, and a large main room with 3 beds, large bathroom and refrigerator. Very clean. Hotel is well maintained with nice pool area and great complimentary breakfast. Hotel staff was always very helpful with anything we needed. Would definitely stay here again.

It is located about a 5 minute walk from the beach and has a bus stop right out the front if you want to go to travel to another part of the island.

To get to our room there were a few stairs but the staff helped us on arrival to carry the bags down. The room was decorated in the simple Greek way- white walls and minimal clutter. We had lots of natural sunlight that came through the large glass windows/door which then led out onto a veranda with a table and chair setting. You could then walk from here down to the hotel pool which had deck chairs, umbrellas and a bar which also served food.

A majority of the time the Wifi didn't work in the room and you would have to go and sit outside on the veranda. The hotel has a computer that you can use for free as well.

Breakfast was nice and we enjoyed eating it on the large outdoor veranda. They also had a dinner menu.

It's probably also worth mentioning that the nearby beach has quite a few nice restaurants along the sand which you can just turn up to and get a table. There were also 2 mini marts in this area as well.

First time I stayed at Kamari Mykonos was 2006 and it was a great place, I requested this hotel again for my recent trip in June 2012 and I wasn't disappointed, in fact the hotel is better than ever as it's been renovated and it was fantastic. Helpful staff, lovely location, excellent rooms, beautiful pool & bar setting, overall a great place to stay and if I am ever back in Mykonos I will most definately stay there. Thank you Kamari for a great stay.

The grounds of Hotel Kamari are beautiful and the location is great! Other than those things, we were a bit dissappointed. This was the lowest priced hotel in our almost two week Greek trip, so we were willing to give a little bit, but I think some further attention to the basics is warranted. First, the staff was a bit cranky. We did not experience a bad attitude at any of our other hotels or even local restaurants. For the most part, it seemed that the Greek people were happy to have tourists, but the staff here just seemed to be in a bit of a bad mood (except for the bartender at the pool, who was very nice). Also, when we were given towels to go to the pool, we were not instructed that a deposit was being put on our room charges pending return of the towels. Not knowing this, I left my towel down at the pool when I was finished with it (as I did in all of the other hotels on our trip) and when we checked out they tried to charge us 20 Euro. Ultimately, the clerk at the front-desk agreed to take off the charge, but this was pretty annoying.

The size of the room was pretty generous and once we figured out the air conditioning (all of the doors and windows have to be properly shut and locked before it works), the tempurature of the room was nice. However, the "King Sized Bed" in our room was really just two twin beds pushed together - not particularly romantic.

Also, there are shutters on the outside of the windows that can be closed to block out some of the sun light, but otherwise, there are no black out curtains. The shutters also rattle in the wind quite a bit in both the closed and open positions and so it's disrupting to sleep.

Finally, this seemed like a VERY kid friendly place. For families, that is fantastic. The pool seemed like a pretty fun place for the kids to play. However, for couples looking to relax by the pool, read a book and have a drink, this was not so good.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 216, which had a nice view, but note the other comments about the shutters above.

Lovely place, staff were great, friendly and helpful. Rooms were large but nothing fancy, great view from our room overlooking the pool and hillside, with the classic white and blue buildings. Breakfast was nice enough and pleasant. Pool is also great and location of hotel is only a few minutes to the beach and restaurants. A bus stop right out front takes you into town. Best part of the hotel was there was not masses of tourists, always a seat at the pool or breakfast. Would recommend this to anyone wants a great time in Mykonos.
