“Second visit as good if not better than the first.”
Reviewed October 22, 2013

My husband and I first visited The Palladium in June for a week booked through Secret Escapes,we were a little dubious about the hotel at first due to the price of the hotel in comparison to other hotel with 5 stars how wrong we were.
Just like our first visit we were picked up by the courtesy bus at the airport and at the hotel greeted warmly with cold flannels and a glass of bubbly, grand.
Our room had a four poster bed and a fantastic view of the sea all toiletries were in the bathroom air conditioner worked fan above the bed mini fridge well stocked, even a DVD player with a catalogue of movies at the front desk.
The food was fantastic and the service of all staff was above 5 stars.Stavros is a super star in the restaurant and fulfils your every need and is always one step ahead of you when wanting your glass refilled. My husband had a little banter with Stavros and "The Snail" sends his love and hope s to see you next year. I could not end my review without a mention to George for staying up late at the bar and Maria ,Thanos for all there help thank you hope to see you all soon.

Stayed at the Palladium for a week in October, First experience of the hotel went badly as we had pre arranged a pick up from the airport only to find out that the courtesy bus had left without us as they had picked up another couple who had not pre booked. Managed to get a lift from another courtesy bus from the same area.
The hotel was pleasant enough and we had a nice room with a lovely view of the sea and pool. The bathroom was a little tired and needed some attention.
The buffet breakfast was good and the friendly staff at breakfast were very efficient.
Overall it was a very nice and relaxing place to stay.

We came across this boutique hotel by chance whilst looking for some late summer sunshine. The hotel is situated just up the hill from the beach and lovely views from the restaurant out over the bay.

We were met at the airport by the hotel minivan and greeted with a glass of bubbly on arrival at the hotel. From the very beginning it was clear the staff wanted us to feel at home and comfortable. Everyone working there puts the clients' needs first and we were impressed with the attentive service from the head waiter, Stavros, right through to the pool attendants and housemaids.

We were allocated a poolside room with French doors opening out onto a terrace and sunbeds next to the pool. This was ideal for us as we could wander in and out of the room for drinks, books, shade etc. If you really want a view of the sea then ask for one of the rooms higher up with balcony.

Our deal included breakfast and evening meal and we could not fault the food at any time. On booking we had decided that we wouldn't be tied to the hotel just because of the half board but in the end we ate at the hotel every night. For a change of scenery take a stroll down the hill to one of the beach bars or for some nibbles and cocktail at sunset go into any of the hotels off to the right, where they will treat you as well as any of their guests.

In summary, this hotel is perfect for a late summer break to avoid the crowds, get some sun and be treated like royalty!

Just spent a week at this hotel (October 2013). What a gem. The ambience and peace hit you as soon as you walk into the reception. We felt very special - from the refreshing scented flannel to the glass of bubbly. Room with a spectacular view and the towels are changed whenever you use them! Best pacific prawns I have ever had and Stavros (Restaurant Manager) has got to be one of the most charming men I've ever met. So efficient and kind. Alex (Pool Attendant) deserves a special mention with excellent service and always with a smile. Finally, George who ran the bar. Again incredible service, always looked immaculate and managed to keep smiling even when we kept him up until 2.00 am! My thanks to you all for making such a very special holiday experience for us.

Room Tip: Ask for room which gets the sun in the afternoon as opposed to the morning, especially in October!

My wife and I treated ourselves to a 6 night stay at Hotel Palladium in September and we found the staff so welcoming, friendly and helpful. From the moment we arrived at the airport on Mykonos to be greeted with a warm handshake and a big smile from the courtesy bus driver, until the time came to check out, we could have been made to feel more welcome. The hotel itself is superb, exceptionally clean with great views from our sea-facing room and the restaurant. The regular bus service into Mykonos town was a bonus which we took advantage of on several occasions, but our favourite spot was Psarou beach. This was our first ever visit to the Greek islands but we shall certainly be back!

Mykonos is a beautiful place and I'd very much like to go back and stay in other parts of the island, but this would be a difficult choice because staying at the Palladium was such a lovely experience. The place was bright clean well decorated, comfortable and beautifully maintained. The service was second to none. We were practically treated like family and nothing was too much for the staff who always met us with genuine warm smiles. My son who was 15 months also fell in love with the place and made friends with all the staff. He misses playing with them in the restaurant at breakfast. The cheeky little monkey flirting brazenly with the waitresses, and they loved him right back by keeping him entertained.
I thoroughly recommend the Palladium, loads of my friends and family already have either booked trips or want to go based on my experience there.

Thank you all at the Palladium for a wonderful holiday. We hope to be back there soon.

My wife has been warming me up all year to holiday in Mykonos. We like 5* boutique hotels and Hotel Palladium was one of a few she identified, having read previous Trip Advisor reviews. When a deal came up for 10 days from the end of September, it was too good an opportunity to miss.

For us the location of the hotel was important as we had deliberately decided to leave driver's licences at home and enjoy a totally chilled out holiday. It's only a 10-minute transfer to the airport and with only a handful of planes a day, they are not intrusive in any way. There are two great beaches within a five-minute walk offering very different experiences. There is a regular water taxi from one of these beaches, Platys Gialos, to a further four beaches (€5.00 each way) and there is a half-hourly bus service to Mykonos Town at the entrance to the hotel (€1.60 each way), to which you can time your watch! My wife did read some negative comments about the location of the hotel on a main road. Honestly, yes some drivers you need to be wary of, but the road is a dead end at the bottom and is perfectly safe to walk and we weren't conscious of any noises at all while we were there.

Ok, but what of the hotel itself. This is one establishment that creeps up on you over your stay and before you know it, you have fallen for the familiarity, home comforts and service that the hotel gives in spades. First impressions are that it is a lovely property. The rooms are well appointed, spotless and we had one overlooking the pool area with a sea view. As we were visiting towards the end of the season, we were upgraded to an even better room, with similar fantastic views, during our stay. What made the rooms much better was the incredible service provided by the chambermaids. Scarcely seen, they quietly ensured your room was always tidy, with fresh towels several times a day.

We were on a set four-course dinner menu as part of our deal (although there was an Al La Carte menu). Described as a 'buffet' this was simply a misinterpretation as it was a really excellent table service in the restaurant on the ground floor, again with great sea views and al fresco dining in part. The chef provided a wonderful selection of salads to start with and a range of dishes that we perhaps wouldn't have always chosen and would have missed out on some super food. Our experience over the 10 nights was that you won't be dissappointed. Breakfasts were buffet-style with a generous choice of hot and cold dishes to set you up and, depending on your portions, sufficient to sustain you through till the evening. There are however a number of great restaurants only a 5-minute walk in Platys Gialos to tempt you to lunch. Stavros, the head waiter, was simply unbelieveable, anticipating your every requirement without appearing overbearing in any way. He was there at every breakfast serving, for lunches and worked continuously until the restaurant closed after dinner in the evening. We didn't try it, but you could arrive late in the evening and still get served. Like most guests, we came for dinner c. 8 - 8:30pm.

The pool area is nice and both George and Alex, the attendants, have a great sense of humour to entertain, but with so many accessible beaches, we opted for the beach on most days using the water taxi. You can help yourself to as many fresh towels as you can carry for the beach at the pool bar and return them for cleaning at the end of the day.

Front of house, the people that really stood out for us were George, Thanos, Maria the Manager and as mentioned previously, Stavros. We are also so grateful to those behind the scenes, the chefs and in particular, the chambermaids, that worked so hard to make our stay so enjoyable.

Go to Mykonos for the experience, incredible beaches and the weather and stay at Hotel Palladium for an unforgettable service!
