“Beautiful hotel situated on the beach”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 16, 2011

Myself and my husband were booked into the Nissaki Hotel for three nights in October 2010. We arrived from Santorini on the ferry and were picked up from the port by the hotel bus however we were brought to the Petinos Beach Hotel instead. When I explained to the girl on reception that we were not booked into this hotel she informed us that the Nissaki hotel was closed for the season and that we could stay here. I was very disappointed as I was really looking forward to staying at the Nissaki Hotel however Maria on reception was very nice and told us we could take a look at the room and if we liked it we could have the room for the same rate as the Nissaki. We had a look at the room and it was very nice, it had a very large balcony with a seaview so we decided to stay. This really is a nice hotel, very well decorated, clean and the bed was huge and very comfortable, breakfast was also included in the price. This is definitely a luxury hotel by Greek standards and the accomodation in Mykonos seems to be of a higher standard than other Greek Islands. I personally would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and would hope to return someday. Thanks Maria for being so helpful during our stay it was much appreciated.

Thanks Petinos Beach Hotel! Staff was really helpful, absolutely loved the location, just a few steps from my favorite beach on the island, good breakfast, and nice showers and changing room downstairs. Their restaurant across the way was not good, but everything else was a dream! Room was beautiful and the bus to Mykonos town was just a few steps up the street. So much fun, thank you!

Wow. This was like an apartment without the kitchen. There was a living room with two sofas, a small tv and it's own a/c. The bedroom was large, had a tv, a/c and balcony (ours was in front of the pool). The bathroom was also really big, especially compared to other European hotels - for example, it was so big that there were 2 doors to the bathroom.

The breakfast was really good with desserts, pastries, veggie omelettes, bacon, etc. They were really good about going around and refilling coffee.

And, the location. It's steps to the beach where you don't rent beach chairs - we stayed on the chairs in front of the closest restaurant. You just order something every now and then and that's it. There's also a mini market next door and a bus stop (buy your ticket at the ticket machine across from the stop - coins only) to town. It's 1.6 EUR one way. One time we paid on the bus (as did many people, and he had change), but another time a different driver said no - buy a ticket. Be careful - it's a small street, and a huge bus that does a 3 point turn which means people in line had to move and watch to not get hit.

By the way, the front desk and housekeeping were great - we had some issues, and once told they immediately started working to fix it. Afterwards, they kept asking to make sure we were ok.

Next time I'm in Mykonos, I'd stay here again. Oh, and their restaurant Blue Myth is amazing!! Great service and a fabulous seafood risotto!!

My Husband and I would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to have a peaceful and relaxing holiday in Mykonos. This hotel boasts class and the hotel staff are very friendly. Our room was cleaned everyday, towels were changed, all bathroom treats renewed, it seems as though everything in the mini bar was FOC because we indudged and did not get charged a penny! We were never interupped by the maids wishing to clean our room, they would wait until you were out. The hotel was also super quiet which made our trip even more relaxing.
This hotel owns Blue Myth across the road, this is a lovely restuarant which provides the buffet breakfast and tasty food.
We would also like to say how nice the staff are at this restuarant especially George and Costas, thanks to them we felt right at home from out first night.

My husband and I just stayed at the Petinos Beach Hotel and we could not believe how beautiful our stay was. We have stayed in Hotels close to town but every time we wanted to go to a nice beach we had to take a taxi. At the Petinos Beach Hotel you are right on Platis Gialos, the most popular beach and they have a boat taxi that will take you to other popular beaches like Paradise, Super Paradise, Paranga and Elia. The bus that takes you to town every hour is only 50 meters away from the hotel and only costs a little more than 1 euro. You will save 20–30 euros per day not having to hire a taxi. They have a 24 hour reception and the staff treated us like royalty. They became our close friends. Hi Maria & Andreus. The free breakfast is spectacular and their restaurant menu is also the best. They even have a mini market connected to the hotel where you can get anything you need. The pool is great and the rooms have a safe, internet hookup, beautiful views and housekeeping twice each day. We love this hotel and dream about going there again next year.

This is a lovely hotel, it's pleasing on the eye in terms of space and decor and is very well kept. My only complaint about this hotel is that the service could have been better. There was a big group of us (around 20) and the hotel was aware that we were arriving at 1pm. Some of the rooms were ready for people to check in, but the majority of the group did not get rooms until 5pm. It just seemed like the hotel was disorganised and should have managed this better. The location of the hotel is superb, right next to the beach and there are mini markets a few steps away. My other disappointment about this stay was that the swimming pool was not heated. We went in April and it was still quite cloudy and breezy, it would have been so much nicer if the pool was heated as we would have used it. My group ate at the hotel restaurant and the food was not all that and still we paid 20 euros, it was not worth it, save you money and go into Mykonos town! The rooms were nice and clean but the bathrooms were small, but I hear this is normal for hotels on the islands to have small bathrooms! Flat screen TV was a bonus! But no FREE wifi was bad! Breakfast was great with a huge variety to choose from.

I have to say, this was a beautiful hotel. The people were very friendly, especially when you learn to say good morning and other greetings. Always a good tip.

Anyway, the hotel was very clean, the room we stayed in was amazing, with a patio that opened up onto the pool. I was VERY happy with this place.

Our last night, the A/C ran out of freon and we had to open the windows. Not the worst, but mosquitoes love me and well, that was that. I still loved this place and would go back. We just had the unfortunate luck of wrong place, wrong time and the serviceman could not fix it at midnight.

In order to get into Mykonos Town, you had to take a bus. Not a huge problem, just follow the people and the signs.

Breakfast, for our group, was across the street at the Petinos Hotel Restaurant and it was very good with a lot of variety.

If you want an umbrella, you must pay on the beach. However, at the pool it is first come, first serve.
