“Perfect Place to Stay on Mykonos”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 17, 2007

My husband and I stayed at the Mykonos Palace from May 31st to June 4th and absolutely loved it! Thanks to TripAdvisor, we hit a homerun with this hotel. First let me say that the hotel's stock photos don't do it justice.

We booked the hotel online at a rate of 130 Euros per night. When we arrived at the airport, they had someone there to pick us up, as we had arranged. Upon arriving at the hotel, we checked in quickly and were anxious to see our room. Much to our surprise, our room had a view of the sea. We knew we had the cheap room rate and weren't expecting much but this room was fantastic!

Most, if not all, of the buildings in Mykonos are painted white with blue shutters. The entire island is gorgeous and so was our hotel. The first night, we had dinner at their restaurant, which was delicious. Nearly every night, after going out, we'd come back and hang out at the pool bar.

The pool area is amazing. There are numerous chairs and lounge furniture to choose from and the staff is very friendly. We quickly made friends with everyone there.

The hotel is located on a beautiful beach and is near the center of Platis Yialos. You're surrounded by other small hotels and plenty of restaurants to choose from. This hotel is very family friendly and even has a play set on the beach for the kids.

Overall, this hotel fits people of all ages and if you're reading this review just like I read every review before going to Mykonos, trust me, you'll love this place!

I had the best time. The staff at the hotel could not have been any nicer. The owner of the property is just wonderful. When I was planning this trip I called the hotel directly. Eleni helped me the entire time before getting to Greece. I had never had such a welcome at a hotel, and I have traveled enough to experience what superb service and Mykonos Palace is it. She had a driver pick us up at the airport. I had the best room in the hotel. When you go request room 105. again the staff just went out of their way. Oh the breakfast very good. We were not too far from the town. Mykonos is paradise to say the least. Can't wait to go back this time I will stay at Mykonos and Santorini. The location of the hotel could not be better. We took a boat ride to Super Paradis Beach, warning part of the beach is nude if travelling with children, otherwise go for it. An easy boat ride to Delos and Syros. I honestly can say that I will go back and stay here, and avoid Athens. It's nice but like any big City once you see the Acropolis you've seen Athens. You need only 1 day.

We stayed at the Mykonos Palace as part of a stay & cruise package through Air Transat Vacations from Apr 30 - May 4th. Because we got such a good deal on the package, I decided to upgrade to a better hotel. I read the reviews, took the advice to remember that the European hotel standard and the North American are not quite the same, and picked this one. We are a family of three, travel more than the average bear, and like to stay in Sheratons, Westins, Hiltons, etc.

We couldn't have been more thrilled with this hotel! It was clean, the staff was extremely courteous and helpful, and we had the most amazing room! (Over top the bar with a huge patio) What I loved most about it was the fact that it so belonged and fit into the atmosphere and area of Greece! Of course it wouldn't be a Westin or Hilton, and it shouldn't be, they would be out of place in such a beautiful spot.

It was still pre- high season, which, although that meant no swimming in the sea because it was too cold, we thought it was perfect - especially for sight seeing.

We tried a fabulous restaurant along the beach (great food) and went to town numerous times for a fair fee of $6.00 Euros.

I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a nice place to relax and put your feet up!

What a hotel! I think it was fortunate that we stayed here before the busy season as we had the whole hotel to ourselves!..We stayed here in the beginning of April and found the pool not filled yet, the restaurant not open and painting to be done - they were doing all this while we were there. BUT it was lovely and quiet ! We had the whole top floor balconey to ourselves, and it was heaven! Everyday we laid in the sun and enjoyed the perfect view to the beach- and everyday had our breakfast delivered to our room - it was a varied and large breakfast..
This hotel was in a great position, about 15 mins away from Hora about 6 euros by taxi-there were some great restaurants near the hotel on the beach.
The staff were just lovely!.... Everyday we were greeted by George and another lovely girl with big smiles and hellos...!
I will be back!!!

This was absolutely the highlight of our 1 month Honeymoon.
We Spent the first 2 weeks in Italy and the last 2 in Greece.
We were thankful we kept the best for last.

We originally planned for 1 week in Mykonos and the 2nd in Santorini, but once we arrived, we knew we weren't leaving.
WOW was our initial reaction and it was WOW for the rest of our stay. It was like stepping into a painting.

After our nightmare in Italy (robbed twice and treated like animals), we were so pleasantly surprised with the hospitality and kindness of the locals. The gentleman who picked us up, Marinos, greeted us like long lost relatives. Courteous and welcoming the whole way.

Once we got to Mykonos Palace, the staff, all with a sincere smile, were very helpful in assisting us to our room and getting us all set up. The beautiful deep blue sea was at our doorstep. The restaurant was charming and very affordable. The food was fantastic and the live music made for a very authentic experience.

By the end, we were having anxiety attacks at the thought of leaving this paradise. The staff became our family and Mykonos became our home.

On our way to the port, we pledged to make it our anual destination from now on.

We booked a reservation for 2 nights for arrival on Nov. 24th and reconfirmed it on the Nov 23rd. We were very surprised when we arrived to learn that the booking agent had not contacted you and that you were closed for the season. It was our good fortune that you were preparing for a private party and took the time to help us.
We had a very enjoyable visit to Mykonos and wish to thank you for going out of your way to find us alternate accomodations and taking the time to guide us to the hotel. You certainly showed us what greek hospitality means in a great way and we are greatful.. We drove by the next day in the daylight and saw its wonderful setting on the beach. We will most ceratinly stay at your hotel when we return to MYkonos!!!!
