“Another great holiday at Mykonos Palace”
Reviewed July 18, 2012

Our fourth year back and the same room - 402. I usually email the hotel and ask them to reserve it for me. Sunbeds were free this year if you had the back three rows ( which we usually do). Weather excellent. We found a lovely bar just about 20 min walk along a path to the left - it's called Paranga beach - Kalua bar - nice to go to about 6pm. Psarou beach is great to see how the other half lives. A great party atmosphere - its only 15 min walk around the cliff (up the hill out of the resort).
The food in the hotel is lovely - we ate there a couple of times. If you want to hire a car - just ask at reception and they will get someone to come along to collect you within 30 mins. It's an easy island to drive around. Paradise beach is great to go to about 5pm for a drink and to sit back and watch the party start.
We usually catch the bus not Mykonos town at night - the shopping is amazing. For the third year I have bought a lovely maxi dress from RBS shop. Been back again to Lola's bar, Interni, Scandanavin bar and our favourite bar in little Venice. If eating out in Mykonos town - avoid those which are close to little Venice because they are expensive - try some of the smaller ones. Nikos is always busy but the service isn't great.
There's a good supermarket just along from the hotel - the owner is really friendly.
The island is very cosmopolitan - you would never know there was a problem with the Greek economy! There's a wide range of beaches for families and for those who want to be a bit more adventurous - don't be afraid to go on the nudist beaches - there's always a mixture of folk.
We will be booking up for next year at the Mykonos palace - room 402!

Having visited this beautiful island for several decades, I can honestly say this is my favourite location. Opening the door to a fantastic view of the sea, no roads and no need for shoes. The hotel is comfortable, clean and friendly, all the staff make a real effort to know you and be helpful.
Best time of the day is sitting at the beach bar with an ice cold drink watching the sun go down with sand still in my toes. Perfect! Also a brilliant base to visit the rest of the island, by foot, bus, taxi or the wonderful little boats, although this is usually a damp option! I will return again and know I won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: Ask for sea view.

I stayed for 3 nights, 6-9 July 2012. The room was really small for two people, with no place to put our luggage. The bathroom was spacious enough. Both the room and the bathroom show that they need to be renovated as soon as possible. The clearness of the room and the bathroom was almost satisfyimg, although there were some peculiar spots, here and there. The breakfast is one of the strong points of the hotel: satisfying quality, variety and quantity and all these in front of the beach. But, when we asked to have a greek coffee instead of filter, the answer was that we could have one with charge. The staff was kind enough, although I had a bad experience: the last night some young hotel guests have decided to have a pool party in the middle of the night. Although I have phoned repeatedly to the reception desk number, nobody answered, although we have been told that there was a 24hour reception desk.
The beach is great, but which beach is not in Mykonos? The sunbeds are really expensive, even for the hotel guests.
In closing: a hotel that is not definately a 4 star hotel, with urgent need for renovation, expensive for what it offers.

Room Tip: Avoid the rooms with poll view

Met parents here at the end of a Greek island-hopping trip. They were very happy with the hotel, they had an all inclusive deal, although they did comment that the evening meals were not always the best. They stayed around the hotel pool almost the entire time. We had come from Paros so immediately the bar is raised very high. The hotel is right on the beach, which is crowded and along the beach are rows of mainly hotel restaurants and they try to push their business on to you. The dinners are expensive along here and the food only average. The breakfast was very mediocre. The main town is about 15 minutes away by car and worth walking around at night exploring the small streets and restaurants. Our room was nice though with a good view over the bay and a small private verandah. The reception staff were very pleasant. I would say that if you are getting a very good deal on this hotel, then go you will have fun, but otherwise I find Mykonos very overpriced in general and busy, but useful as a stopover point en route to some more authentic and half-the-price nearby island.

Room Tip: Front sea view rooms with verandah

Excellent location, great food, oustanding staff - Socrate and Katarina in the dining area, with Alex welcoming everyone at the front desk! Eat in the open dining area and bar while enjoying the water and the beach views. Fresh food with a nice complimentary buffet breakfast.

Several covered open air lounge chairs to eat, read and relax while seeing a beautiful view. The bus to town is a 5 min. walk and schedule is posted for trips to and from town.

It felt like we were leaving family when we said good-bye.
This hotel is in a great location and we wish we had stayed longer. Next time we will!

Room Tip: Stay in the main building so as not to have to cross the street to get to the dining area or beach.

We had a fantastic room with veranda overlooking the beach. The hotel was clean, tidy and excellently located for local beaches and town. The hotel food was fairly good, although without the amazing table service, we may have eaten elsewhere more often. The staff at Mykonos Palace are quite superb and made our stay so enjoyable. The room was nice with air conditioning and bar. There were several other facilities, like the safe, that helped us to enjoy our stay a little more.

Room Tip: A bit of a walk, but at Aggia Anna, is Nikolas Beach bar. Very good food and far cheaper than the h...

My friend and I stayed at the Mykonos Palace Beach Hotel from June 14-18, 2012. The hotel is conveniently located directly on a beautiful beach. There are several restaurants on the beach that are great for a lunchtime snack. A taxi boat also comes to the beach hourly to bring people to other popular beaches on the island. It is a 5 minute taxi boat ride to beaches such as Paranga, Paradise and Super Paradise, and about 7 minutes to Elia. The hotel is also conveniently located within a 2 minute walk to the local bus, which goes all over the island, including the downtown area, which is about 15 minutes away. Location is a 10/10.

The hotel staff were extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. They will go the extra mile to ensure that you enjoy your stay. We had an amazing time at all the beaches, restaurants and areas that they suggested. Indeed, the staff were able to propose things that were both "off the beaten path" and, alternatively, conventional tourist things as well. This helped us maximize our relatively limited time in Mykonos, and to make the most of our days.

The room was very clean and well proportioned, and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was quite varied, and always fresh.

We would highly recommend this hotel.
