“Did we pick the wrong night?”
Reviewed September 13, 2013 via mobile

We had walked past the restaurant a few times in the week and the owner was always trying to encourage us in saying the chef won Greek masterchef!! So we eventually decided to go and eat. I felt once he had us in there the service was really slow. A young waiter served us who seemed a bit stressed out by being given so many orders!! The food was nice we shared grilled halloumi and veg to start then both had swordfish. I agree with a previous review I had read that the portions are very large!! We could have shared a main course too. We didn't have desert but no pastries were offered like we had read complimentary. To be honest not sure where we would have fitted them in being so full. Feel we maybe just hit the wrong nice as previous reviews were all raving.

“Free dessert!”
Reviewed September 10, 2013

We were staying at the hotel attached to this restaurant so ate here a few times. The staff were really friendly and made you feel very welcome. The mussels in tomato and feta were gorgeous (you have to try!) as were the pizzas and the souvlaki/gyros plates. You get lovely mini doughnuts with chocolate sauce free after your meal which is a nice touch as they don't push you to ever actually buy a dessert!

“Friendly family atmosphere, beautiful location on the beach”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

We spent a relaxing three hrs in this taverna. Lunch was fantastic - tender grilled octopus, seafood salad. The menu was extensive and the chef is a previous Greek masterchef winner. We noticed prices were better than typical prices in Mykonos town. Our 5 yr old son was made to feel very welcome. We were given a huge table that overlooked the lovely Platys Gialos beach. At the end, we were presented with a thank you plate of honey balls which were as delicious as the rest of the meal. It was also possible to be served on the beach lounges. Highly recommended.

“Fresh and delicious!”
Reviewed August 30, 2013

This restaurant is located right on Platys Gialos beach and its connected to Acrogiali hotel which was the hotel my fiancée and I were staying. So it was very convenient to walk outside our room and within 10 seconds be in front of the restaurant. We were actually deciding between Atlantida restaurant and another restaurant near by but decided we check the menu first. Once we were in front of the restaurant the manager/owner greeted us warmly and began to tell us about the restaurant and in other words sell us this restaurant. His sales skills definitely worked because we decided to eat here but it also helped that we had read good reviews about the restaurant beforehand. We ordered a Greek salad, calamari and a Greek pizza and everything was so delicious! After our meal they brought us these Greek complimentary warm donuts that was just to die for! The service was good and it was obvious that the staff was working very hard and they're attitude created a very nice and warm environment to dine.

“Large Portions”
Reviewed August 24, 2013

We ate lunch here on the day we arrived, the front of house man said that the chef had won Greece Master Chef and who were we to dispute this !
Portions were very large so sharing would be recommended unless you have a large appetite!
