“Hotel Club Bahamas Ibiza”
Reviewed October 13, 2013

Came back from Bahamas Oct. 2nd 2013 one of the worst holidays we have had.Been here before and enjoyed it but WOW how iot has changed. Food was rubbish unless you were a rabbit ???the salads were ok but the rest was awful no choice one meat a day some unrecognizable fish that was it. Didn't find the staff very friendly they were too busy sorting peoples problems. Extremely noisy at night doors slamming shouting and screaming. The only good thing I can say is the location for the beach was great and the weather was perfect. Our last visit to Hotel Bahamas. In Playa D"en Bossa we saw drugs openly being sold on street it was wild'

Room Tip: Don't have a tip ??

The reception staff were almost comatose, there was always a large queue at the reception throughout the day, no matter how many waiting the efficiency remained the same. I found them arrogant and rude; we paid for half board but were presented with a bed and breakfast only wristband, it was impossible to make them see my viewpoint and I'm endeavouring to claim back the 32 euros we wasted each day dining there. To make things worse, others who payed for B&B were given a free upgrade - we paid for half board and got nothing.

I'm a vegetarian and was encouraged by comments of how well I would be catered for: WRONG! most nights there were no signs giving indication what the food contained and there's nobody around to ask. All of the pizzas and pastas contained some kind of meat, one night I thought I had found some pasta sauce but upon inspection I found fish lurking at the bottom. I ended up with a plate of salad most nights which added insult to the injury of having to pay for it.

As other reviewers have mentioned, ants are a big problem here. We have stayed at many of the other hotels in this resort and have not experienced anything like it, they were all over the settee, on the tables and in our beds - not nice at all.

The hotel is situated about ten minutes walk from the centre of the resort which is fine for a quieter holiday but, as there are very few street lights, the walk at night is in near pitch black making us feel unsafe.

The safety deposit boxes are not in the rooms where they should be but by the reception and you have to carry the key around with you all holiday which is worrying when you are out clubbing. They are also overpriced when considering many other hotels offer them for free.

There's salt water in the taps which is expected in Ibiza.

I would recommend the Algarb hotel over this hotel, not only is it cheaper but has better food, staff and location.

Room Tip: Bring some ant powder

The hotel location is great if you're idea when in Ibiza is party all day long. The Ushuaia and Space are only blocks away, and the beach clubs (Coco Beach, Lips, Jet) are really close by.
The hotel has large rooms, kind of humid (we stayed at a pool side room), but comfortable beds, huge bathroom with a tub, a fridge and a generous closet.
The buffet for breakfast and dinner was abundant, lots of vegeterian options, and of course fish and shellfish! You have to pay for your drinks, but there are vending machines all over the place, and you can get 1.5lt bottled water for aproximatley 2 euros.

Attention girls! the water from facucets and shower is salty...so bring on the hair products!

Overall...the hotel holds up to the prices they offer!

Room Tip: The rooms by the pool can get noisy at noon...if sleeping in is your thing. And the water from the s...

We stayed here during the Ibiza closing parties during the 1st week of October.
It was cheap and cheerful.
Really good location for Space Club and Ushuaia- 5 minutes walk.
Pacha was a 10 min taxi away.
The Marina was a 10 minute taxi and there were great restaurants there.
We went half board. Breakfast was fine. Dinner was abysmal!
The rooms were basic. The safe is in reception... not in your room. The hairdryer is like having some blow on your hair!
The room was a bit cold so we had to wear cardi's to bed
The hotel is on the beach which is fab!
The pool was clean and there are loads of sun beds.
The hospitality guys, Lillo and Stitch as we called them were really lovely :)
DJ Wim (who was receptionist by day and DJ by night (night meaning up until 11pm) was the best! He played some commercial stuff back at the hotel which was fun after hours and hours and hours of House music.
You can only get wifi in the reception area, not in your room or by the pool which is annoying.
Was fine to stay there, it didn't ruin my holiday but I probably wouldn't stay there again!

Room Tip: Ask for pool side because the view is better... unless you'd rather have a quiet room!

There is no sweet water in the showers, means your showering with sea water that may cause you some red skin. The pool is very nice but also, filled with sea water. Entertaining crew is there to make your stay in more fun and they succeed most of the time. Until the end of your vacation you will fall in love with them just like we did, I suppose.
The food is very good, and in ibiza that saves a lot of money in many cases. There is a verity of choises to pick, and most of the things are tasty.
The room is clean and well taken care of.
Extra towers to the beach cost extra money, keep in mind.
Location is not that good if you like drinking in your room for instance you will need to walk about 1 mile to get ice, again the bar can't help you with that unless you like ice cubes made of sea water.
Clubs are not close but with the disco bus you don't have to be that close to the clubs anymore.

Just got back from Club Bahamas this afternoon. I came to this same hotel 2 years ago & loved it! It is a brilliant hotel set in very beautiful gardens & surroundings, right on the pretty beach. The concrete mini golf course had been replaced by grass which looked much better. As we arrived early, we were told that our room would not be ready until 2:00 pm which was a bit inconvenient. We managed to pull a few clothes out of our suitcases to change into & then put our cases in storage. The room was extremely clean and had everything we needed, although the wardrobe had a curtain instead of door & the sliding toilet door had a gap when you closed it but it wasn't too bad. The first 3 nights were very noisy which was caused by the hotel on the opposite side of the road but after that we slept fine. The staff on reception were very polite & helpful, as were the restaurant staff, Even the cleaners were friendly & said hello. The room was cleaned to a high standard every day. The food at the restaurant was very good with plenty to choose from daily. The entertainment staff were hard working and did their best to entertain us, the Michael Jackson night is a must see! The pool area was always spotless. We found the place quieter than when we visited last time as we went later in the season. There were a mixture of people staying, families, young & old couples and youngsters there for the clubs. I really love this hotel, it's in a great location, close to the airport so the transfer time is very short and the airplanes flying over didn't bother us at all. I heard that some of the rooms are being refurbished for next year. I hope to stay here again some time in the future.

Basically this hotel is for young people who are clubbing on a budget who think they have gone up market.
We learnt you could get all inclusive deals a few days in which sounded like if u wanted to get on it it would be ideal. This place does a job but if u want towels for the pool, a remote control for your tv, wifi for iPad u have to pay. Crazy.
The breakfast was adequate, it was clean enough.
It is exceptionally noisey at night, so be the last one in. Seriously you will not get sleep
Don't get your hopes up, don't stay in, don't expect anything and u might think its ok.

Room Tip: Don't go unless s u r on a big weekend with friends
