“Middle of nowhere”
Reviewed July 27, 2013 via mobile

Brilliant hotel and the staff cant do enough for you but the location is in the middle of nowhere. Unless you are really into water sports there is little else to do. I went to a market but apart from that there is nothing else around. Great for a hotel based relaxing holiday.

I don't want to repeat all that the previous trip have said but if I do, sorry.

General: The sea looks beautiful and is crystal clear, you can go relatively far out at chest level without any problems. Transfers are good only taking 45 mins.Rooms reasonable and clean, Food is edible and its not a loutish drunken place (mostly Dutch and German).

Rooms : We were in room 2633 which had a kids park view with a side view of the sea, this room unfortunately was also head on to forceful winds which whip the island and rendered the balcony unusable for sitting out and reading your book etc,the rooms were cleaned regularly but do need an upgrade as they were beginning to look tatty and worn.I would contact the hotel in advance and ask for a pool view if you want to sit out.Beds and pillows are rock solid and pillows very flat.

Surrounding area: Don't expect to have a walk out the hotel and have a general look around the area or even people watch while having a drink at a local bar - there are none.

Food: This was okay and you could make up something to eat from the the list of items available but there was never really a coherent meal.

Pool: If you didn't get down before 9:30 you will be sunbathing in the grass, the winds were so severe you had to hold onto your anything which wasn't nailed down,The pool was so cold that very few people actually went into it, the one bonus was the daytime entertainment which was decent with several activities to try and keep you occupied. The girls in the pool bar were also excellent and always made an effort.

Beach: Beach and wind don't mix if you want to sunbath, you get whipped with the loose sand and there are very few areas of shade, even the sun loungers and parasols which you can hire don't allow respite. The beach at both left and right of the hotel is mixed nudist and clothed- just in case you are potentially offended by this. The sea is great for water sports and you can book these through the sports shop near the general store called water sports fuerteventura - I went on a surfing day and loved it (40 Euros), be aware that you have to carry your own surf board down a very steep cliff and I admit my instructor carried mine back up.

Evening entertainment - Not the best, same guy singing 5 days of the week, there is little else on so it works as background music, this might change during peak season.

Hope this helps.

Wife and I took our 8 year old son and 21 year old twins for a birthday treat here for a week. Had adjoining rooms. Fantastic spacious and clean accommodation. Good food and drinks on the all inclusive deal. Pools great and plenty of space on grassy areas to chill out if sun beds taken. Would definitely return here. Only downside was on arrival we were put up in an inferior establishment because they had overbooked for a day. Had a voucher to compensate which allowed us to use the spa pool an extra occasion and extended our free drinks times although we didn't take advantage of this.

This is a large modern all inclusive hotel which runs like clockwork, the staff are brilliant and work hard to ensure the hotel is kept spotlessly clean and all guests needs are catered for. Large modern bedrooms with king size beds and plenty of wardrope space, safe deposit hire is 1.50euro per day ,large bathroom with power shower The pool area is lovely, a large lagoon style which provides plenty of space for sunbathing and the beds are very modern andf comfortable, beach towel hire is 10 euros per person per stay and is refundable on checkout. The pool bar is well located and serves basic snacks at breakfast and lunchtime as an alternative to the main restaurant. The restaurant is large and functional with a good range of food, the wines are acceptable and you can help yourself to soft drinks or be served depending on your preference. Excellent coffee served at the bar on reception level where the wifi is free and my only suggestion for improvement at the hotel would be for it to serve cakes or pastries here as many people use this area and the views are wonderful.

Just to emphasise that this is an excellent retreat for a relaxing holiday, the resort is 45 minutes from the airport with miles of beautiful beaches in either direction. We would certainly consider this as an option forfuture holidays.

Room Tip: Rooms on the 1st and 2nd floors are quieter and have the best views

Stayed in this brilliant hotel for a week in the mid September 2012. Everything is high class, but the polish reception team members, who did not speak any language but polish and broken german. Meals are good quality, drinks as well. Pools and entire hotel environment are stunning. Well recommended for holidays.

I have just returned from a two week holiday with my husband, 5 year old son, my mum and my dad and can honestly say that we had a fantastic time. The hotel was less than half full which made finding a sun bed and getting a drink at the bar extremely easy. Finding our room on entering the hotel was a little challenging but once you understand the lift system it is very easy to get around the hotel - floor 1 is at the top of the hotel and floor 9 by the swimming pool. We stayed on the ground floor where our room had a terrace overlooking the main swimming pool - perfect situation! The rooms are spotless and made up everyday with great efficiency. The beds are a little hard and pillows very thin but we were all very happy with the accommodation. The quality of the food was excellent and there was a great amount of variety. The restaurant staff are extremely pleasant particularly if you make the effort to say please and thank you in Spanish!! We had no problem being offered drinks at dinner but it helps to be pleasant to the staff!! There were some German guests who tried to push in but stand your ground and to be fair the majority of the guests were delightful. The bar staff at the pool bar worked exceptionally hard all day and again were very pleasant if you are were pleasant back - the food was very acceptable for a quick snack during the day if you didn't fancy walking up to the main restaurant. It would be lovely if the bar was open in the evening so that you could sit on the terrace and enjoy the evening sun. My son loved the smaller pool because it was warmer and the beach which is directly on the hotels doorstep. We used the a la carte restaurant twice which was free apart from buying drinks - strange system of ordering meat or fish when you book but delicious food and an excellent location overlooking the sea. Don't forget to order a child's meal when booking because they will provide one when asked. After one week of our stay we were locked out of our room and had to return to the reception to have our key cards re-authorised - this would have been fine but we booked a late checkout room for the final day and yet again we were locked out of our room - very frustrating. The duty manager made a big thing about the lock being broken but when he used his master key it worked straight away!! He also swore in front of my son which didn't impress us!! Fortunately he is not representative of the staff at the hotel because the rest were excellent, very helpful and generally very pleasant. An excellent hotel that we would highly recommend.

Room Tip: Rooms on the ninth floor overlooking the pool are quiet and have lovely views over the pool area and...
