The hotel is situated right on the beach in a quiet location. First impressions were that it is a bit dated and needs some TLC. We had a lovely room that was spotlessly clean and very quiet. The All Inclusive option was good. Food was good with lots of choice. We never had to wait for long at the bar and having self service taps was a sensible idea. There were lots of sun beds and many different sunbathing places. We had a lovely holiday and feel that we got what we paid for and more.

The hotel was a little bit old fashion style. Basically clean but f.ex. there were small ants in the room. Wifi was really slow and therefore almost unusable. The beach of the hotel was not the best one. The pool area was good.

The hotel was basic but nice, the staff all very friendly, rooms nice and clean no service on Wednesday and Sunday but that was fine. We had sea view rooms which were a bit tired but then it was the end of the season. Being at the end of the of the passage we thought it would be quiet, HOW WRONG the children used it as a running track so all we heard was banging feet and screaming. I know this isn't the hotels fault but the families. If you have unruly children this is the hotel for you.
Lunch was a bit of a hassle as they closed a section of the restaurant.
All in all the hotel was ok but I would never go there again

Room tip: We had room 294 with a lovely view of the sea and sun all day

The Fuerteventura Playa Hotel is near to a beach, but not a good one. Costa Calma is amazing as a resort and some hotels benefit from the nicer beaches. But this hotel doesn't match them. The service is poor and the food is not great. The hotel cuts back as much as it can on the cleaning of the room, the general services and the all-inclusive options like food and drink. I have stayed in cheaper hotels that are much better value. This was disappointing and more like a low budget experience. It was not what I expected from what had been sold to me.

For a low budget family holiday it might be okay, but still pricey for what you get. Top tip - stay at another hotel in Costa Calma! The resort is great.
