Found this restaurant by accident, and what a surprise. The weather was very nice but with a lot of wind, but in spite of the heavy wind, the yard was very calm and with the most beautiful view over the sea and beach and mountains.
The food was very good and the staff was smiling and polite.

Normally you pay for the view and the food is a nice distraction, but not here.

This old restaurant is on the northern hill overlooking Costa Calma and Los Gorriones. The view is excellent. No wonder there is a small artillery bunker from other times nearby. To find it go from Costa Calma towards la Lajita, as the road splits to three lanes, to let slow lorries go uphill, take the junction right. Even has one of this old Spanish signs with an ancient photo camaraderie indicating worthy view.

The restaurant building is nicely decorated, dark wood beams, white walls and old-looking tables. Our table of four had two two-seater wooden benches on the porch.

Nearby there is a playground, far enough to be unnoticed from the porch and too far for a mum to keep an eye on the kids.

Food was mainly Spanish variations of fish and rice with a Canarian touch. We loved the Goat cheese in layer cake with tomato-based marmalade, black rice paella, banana split with local banana (smaller and tastier) and mousse of Gofio.Kids menu were cheap, well presented and healthy: a few Chips, rice with veggies and spineless fish (sole).

We go back regularly, it is busy in the evenings but it is also open for lunch.
