Having dined at the Bistro Montmartre twice before in March 2012 we returned in October and tried it again. We were not disappointed. Food as before was superb and still so reasonably priced; far less expensive than in the UK for that standard of cooking. Can heartily recommend the duckling served with a black cherry sauce; also the seafood crepe. The marinated lamb was also very good, tender and melting in the mouth. Enormous portions and such pleasant and efficient service. Drinks are not that expensive, a white rioja at 9 euros was very pleasant. As usual the ladies are presented with a rose, whilst the gents are presented with the very reasonable bill. The “on the house” liqueur was a nice to touch with which to finish the evening. Although the place is usually busy, and management must see many customers throughout the year, we were welcomed like old friends and were clearly remembered from our last visits. We would recommend the Montmartre without hesitation.
