We expected this to be very different from what it was but it was nice to see.

If you are visiting loads of the attractions like we did, you should buy the 6 attraction ticket at one of the entrances - which gets you entry to both sets of caves, the cactus garden, the national park, the old castles in Arrecife, to mention a few.

We visited the house of the artist the second day of our holiday. It helped to understand the recent history of the island and the great influence that Manrique had and has on it. His vision to integrate nature and art seamless, finds in this house his masterpiece. A modern cave built in harmony with the environment surrounding it.

Other Tripadvisor members who liked this place have expressed it so well it's all been said. Suffice it say that it's somewhere I'll be going back to again and again. I found it not merely interesting, entertaining or educational, but moving. The tingle is coming back just writing about it....

Really interesting to find out more about Manrique and his influence on the island, having been to visit the house - you then see the signs of him as you drive around Lanzarote.
