First holiday away with my girlfriend, it was amazing! We arrived to Lanzarote and didn't know what to expect of our hotel. We booked with teletext holidays and got a smashing deal. It seemed too good to be true. So I was expecting a tacky, horrible hotel. However it was the complete opposite! We arrived to Santa Rosa and got a warm-welcome from their staff and was directed to our room. Our room was outstanding, we had great pool views, large amounts of space. Even though we was half-board, the hotel supplied us with out own cooking facilities! The food was nice in the hotel, but if you get the chance to eat out then do! There are so many beautiful restaurants in Costa Teguise, our favourite restaurant was a beautiful little place that had sea views to die for, unfortunately I can't recall the name of the place. Although the hotel had superb pool facilities, we often went to the lovely beach of Costa Teguise, it's about a 10minute walk and well worth it (if you don't like walking).
It was a our first holiday together and we both are going back next year!

We enjoyed our stay at Santa Rosa. Our only minor gripe was the lack of opportunity for the teenagers to enjoy a late night drink at the complex. There are decent restaurants nearby, especially the El Navaro, which serves top quality food. All in all a good holiday.

My partner and I took advantage of last minute flights and treated ourselves to a cheap long weekend. Such a great choice!!
Apartment was on the 1st floor and was huge! Ok it was basic, but very clean and quiet with a big balcony and a lovely view over the pool. What more could you ask for?
We paid a little extra for breakfast which wasnt terribly good - cooked breakfast not to be reommended - but then it didnt cost much and we at least had a basic breakfast of rolls and coffee.
Having said that there were several other bars etc around offering what sounded like good value breakfasts.
Walk into Costa Teguise was very pleasant - you could walk most of the journey along a lovely promenade by the sea (walk down through the villas of Playa Bastian from the main road). This usually took about 20 mins.
The Cosmos/Monarch rep - Rosemary - is brilliant. She does a fantastic talk and gives you lots of tips.
The only slight gripe I have is the small number of sunbeds. Our visit was in March so not too many people around, but when we returned to the apartments mid afternoon on a warmish day we were unable to find an empty one. Its possible that with the advent of peak season they may have added more beds.
Overall a fab holiday and one we would like to repeat.

we arrived at the hotel on the 11th of July and instantly were impressed by the layout and the beauty of the resort, it looks exactly the same as the photos on the website.
We were lucky enough to get what we had asked for which was a quiet room with a pool/garden view and got one of the best room number 2009.
The cleanliness of the apartment was outstanding as we did not see a cockroach ,ants or any creepy crawlies anywhere for the whole of our stay, when some people staying across the road in a 4 stars had cockroaches.
The furniture is a little bit dated however spotless and comfortable. The beds were really comfortable too! We had a kettle and toaster already in the room.Even the fridge and microvawe were spotless.
We were here on b&b and really enjoyed the brekkie, a lot of choice from fruits and cereals to full english or croissants, the food was always hot and the chap on charge of the cooking was wearing gloves.
Outside the resort there is quite a few restaurants to eat lunch or dinner, we had a fantastic fish and chips dinner at the Fisherman where everything was handmade and huge for just 12 euros for the both of us so we would recommend it.
Also we have found a great chinese restaurant where they offer a buffet for only 5.95 euros each all you can eat, the food was absolutely divine and they offer free shots at the end of the meal so what more can we ask for? this is situated next door to the Dickens pub.

Regarding the beach, the playa bastian is not great but a short stroll away is the playa Cucharas which is beautiful with a lot of waves, We have walked everywhere as the sea front promenade is new and we found it extremely pleasurable to walk along.
It was really windy which was a godsend as it was really hot.

If you are on a tight budget and up for a few drinks we recommend the Hollywood pub just across the road as the spirit measures are phenomenal!! a single bacardi and coke for example is the equivalent of 3 shots in the UK.
The Costa Teguise is a little bit on the quiet side regarding entertainment with pubs closing at around midnight but there is enough to have a laugh and a night out without having the bad sides of the younger/boysterous resorts.

It is all in all an extremely good budget hotel to stay at ,the rooms, restaurant and the pool area being great, the only criticism if we had to find one would be about the pool bar which is not really clean so we did not feel like eating anything from there also one of the girl working there had a bit of an attitude and was not really friendly.
The rest of the staff was discreet and polite which is how it should be.

My Sister and I stayed here in Feb 09. We are both in our 30's. The apartment was lovely and spacious and big enough for more than the 2 of us. The resort has bunglow style chalets and then an apartment block. We were in the apartment block. I would recomend you ask for the chalets. They are more accessable during the day,
The is a big pool and plenty of sunbed for everyone. The pool side snack bar is very good value and provides nice snacks, This resort is great for families with young kids as it has a play park and mini golf. Its a nice place to relax. Costa Teguise is quiet and relaxing. Not really for the party animals.

The rooms were very basic but very clean & comfortable. The rooms were cleaned five times a week & the linen changed twice a week. The complex itself was spotless as was the salt water swimming pool which was cold but refreshing when you eventually took the plunge. You could rent a toaster & kettle in the self catering apartment for a ten euro deposit but in our room I think the last residents had not returned them so we were ok. Our room 1069 faced onto a park & a new build but in all fairness we never saw any work being done on the building. There is a constant wind in Lanzarote which is very welcoming as it was quite hot & be warned used plenty of sun block as you can be caught out! Overall a very relaxing & pleasing location to stay & would recommend.
