Had a brill 2 weeks. Travelled with partner and 2 kids, 8 & 5. WOnderful and wud recommend. Kids loved the pool - in all day!!!!!. Yes apartments a bit tired but ongoing updating, and you dont really spend much time in them. Great resort, plenty of variety of restaurants. Use Last minute travel for excursions, great prices. Excellent location for beaches, shops, restaurants and close to airport, so no hour journey after your flight, def a bonus with kids. All in all a brill holiday and we want to be back pleeeeease.

We had a 2 bed-romed suite and a one bedroomed apartment between 7 of us. They were side by side which was great. The suite was absolutely amazing - so big and with fridege freezer, dishwasher full oven (only used once!) microwave, iron, hair dryer and every kitchen crockery and utensils you could want. We are already thinking about a return visit! Meals great at Jug and Platter in the square. Plenty of English breakfast places. Saxos bar is a must, especially on reps night (Monday). Before we went we were a bit worried it might be a bit expensive - not at all. Meals are very reasonable at between 7 and 10 euros each and even less at chinese buffet restaurants. The Lively Lady drag bar is a must - very, very entertaining and not at all unsuitable for kids - so don't hesitate. There were many places we didn't visit in the resort, so it gives us ideas for next time! We would like to have two apartments next time - side by side of course!

went to costa teguise on the 11/6/2009. don't know why some people criticised the rooms at oasis lanz they are really clean and comfortable, they were cleaned 5 days out of 7 beds and towels wre changed regularly . yes some of the furniture was a bit dated , but they were in the process of giving the place a spruce up while we were there. as people went home they would paint and clean the apartment ready for the next influx.

if you want to go on the trips book with customer travel they are quite reasonable also a lot of the pubs offer trips to the market on a sunday with lunch included for 12euros.

if you like a drink and a bit of fun go down to the DOLPHIN INN on the front where IAN & his staff Nutty Naomi , Loopy Lisa & Tricky Vicky will give u a very warm welcome they serve food which is very good and the portions are quite big, so make sure your hungry if you eat there. also every time you buy a drink you get a raffle ticket becuase at the end of the night he does a raffle . and most nights they do a quiz theres the fun quiz , the eezeey peezy quiz the family fortunes quiz also the who wants to be a millionaire quiz. . in between questions for the quiz he asks questions for shots . the bar is closed on a thursday so don't go down that day . you can have a great bit of banter with Ian about football as he is a birmingham city fan but we won't hold that against him.

as with most reviews i agree the accomodation was a lttle dated, however they were very clean and served our purpose.
We hired a car for 3 days which is the cheapest and best way to see the whole island.
We ate out everynight but although most of the food is British we found that the Mowtown Bar was best for breakfast 1.95 euros for a full english.Great bars in the old square where you can watch the world go by for 1.50 eoros for a large beer.
One of the best nights we had was when we went to the drag show at lively ladies, we enjoyed it so much we went 3 times.

Again I would echo what everyone else has said these apartments are in need of some TLC but on the whole provided everything you need for a self catering holiday. Apartments well kitted out with all utensils could could possibly need. The entertainment here could be much better and would benefit from an organised daytime/nightime entertainment organiser. Many restaurants right on your doorstep, Tex mex , Dolphin and Paradise all to be recommended. Saxos reps night on Monday is a hoot as long as everyone participates. Too many chinese buffets and offers of chinese massage on the beach. Puerto del Carmen a bus trip away. We went to go karts with another family got picked up and dropped back at apartments and had a great day. On the whole a good holiday.

I was slightly worred about this hotel after the reviews written on here, but it wasnt anything like what they said.

I'll start at the beginning! The hotel does need a face lift granted when we first saw it it looked shabby, when we got to reception(your dropped off in a lay by round the corner) the staff were vey helpful and very polite, we got to our room all rooms were facing one of the pools, its basic but very clean all kitchen equip you need 2 hobs, grill, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, plates etc. The furniture does need a update but the beds were good kids had no problems we had the sofa bed a little dated and lumpy but did the job. There is no air conditioning in the rooms just fans which do make it bearable but did struggle some days to keep cool.
The pool was nice very quite around the pool plenty of beds even if most people put there towels out at 7am!! But we didnt bother there was always enough room didnt go to the heated pool so cant comment on that.

There is a army of cleaners we had our room cleaned 6 days a week towels and sheets changed every 3 and the pool guys clened morning nd night even cleaners for the gardens. The reception staff are very helpful and very polite, there is internet usage with 2 coin operated computers 1 euro for 10 minutes 2 euors for 20 minutes. You have a TV in your room but only hace cnbc and a spanish channel i think it it was 21 euros a week for sky news sky one sky family movies and a cartoon channel and some others. Safe deposit box there is a charge cant remember think it was 6 euros a week with 5 euro deposit .

We went to a couple of the shows most unfortunatly start at 10pm this was a liitle too much for our children but the ones that started at 8pm we found good the kids were transfixed and for free you cant complain. There is table tennis and tennis courts all equipment is free you just have to book with reception didnt use the gym or sauna.
Costa Teguise is a lovely place very nice beaches the only thing that got to use is the people who stand outside there resturants and bother you to eat their it really annoyed use and didnt eat at them becasue of this. There is a lot of chinese buffets very cheap ranging from 495 adult and 395 child or free with a adult. Tex mex was very nice staff there bend over backwards for you and the lighthouse was very resonable and relly good food pizzas especially. We ate at the cutty sark and had a sunday lunch unfortunatly when we heard the microwave ping and saw we had tinned veggies slightly dissapointed.

We travelled with Thompson and even though the excursions were a llittle dearer than other compaines their by about 5-10 euros per person we had the best tour guide he was so informative and he told us everything and i mean everything right done to why Lanzarote people are called rabbits very impressed with him.

Overall the hotel is a very clean and basic hotel gooed pool and in a fantastic location but still very quite and also a good bargain. I would return in a flash, but we never go back to the same place dont be put off by some of these reviews oh yeah cockroaches i saw 2 not bad considering the island is dry sand!

i have just returned from a 2 week stay at the oasis lanz with my wife and three children (all under ten) and having read some not so favourable reviews on these apartments i was unsure wat i was going to find when myself and my family arrived, but as soon as we did i was more than pleased with our selection. the rooms although basic are roomy equipped with every appliance you could wish to have and although the rooms are a bit worn they are spotless. i was warned of lots of cockroaches and in 2 weeks there i didnt see 1!! the maids are regular and do a very good job. there are some sky tv channels available in the room for a small daily charge. the location of the apartments are fantastic, there are between 10-15 family bars within a couple of minutes walk from the apartments th best of which are the bulldog, jug and platter and saxos, the pool bar also offers some very good entertainment on a night time. there is always plenty of beds available around the pool and the entire area is kept very clean. this was was one of the best holidays me and my family have had and i would love to stop at the oasis lanz again.
