“Oasis Lanz Club NOT 3* accommodation!”
Reviewed October 12, 2012

Hi, just back from a weeks stay in this complex. I'll try keep this review short and to the point.
1. The accommodation is woeful. Avoid Room 156. The ceiling started to collape due to leaking plumbing from the room upstairs narrowly avoiding my sleeping daughter! Damp still exists in this room.
2. Avoid turning the ceiling fans up high as you run the risk of the fans detaching from thier mountings. There is NO air conditioning.
3. Room service is dire. Yes, our towels were changed twice during our stay but rather than change the bed linen, the cleaner mearly turned the sheets upside down and refitted them! Believe me, we checked!
4. The evening entertainment in the bar was very amatuer-ish at best. Avoid the bar meals as they are mediocre. You are better eating out at the many quality establishments close by.
5. Be midful of the owners trying to sell you a time share in this complex.
6. The Thomson Rep was very "matter of fact" and seemed genuiely disinterested in our concerns. A poor show.
7. On the plus side, location is very good, the pool was clean, the reception staff were always keen to assist and polite. I pity them having to work here.

Room Tip: The only thing this complex has going for it is its certral location in Costa Teguise. Seriously con...

Just returned after our 9th visit to Costa Teguise, this however was our first visit to Oasis Lanz. On arrival the reception staff were lovely and very helpful, we got the room we asked for on the ground floor. Yes the rooms need updating and yes the sofa bed in lounge was very uncomfortable but everything worked and there were plenty of accessories and even an iron. The grounds were lovely and clean, bit of a scramble for sun beds but you tend to find that at a lot of accomodations. Only saw 2 cockroaches but they were dead, so creepy crawlies were not a problem as stated in other reviews. We were travelling with a wheelchair and the complex was fine to get around in, however the rooms were trickier as you could not get the chair through the bathroom door. Overall this was a nice holiday and will def be coming back to Costa Teguise but maybe not Oasis Lanz until they sort out disabled access rooms. A must to try is a breakfast from The British Cafe just off the square, lovely.

Brilliant location, close to restaurants, shops, beach, bars. The beach is a lovely little cove beach where the fish swim around you and even feed from your hand! The British Cafe in The Square is definate must for your english breakfast and the staff are great. good prices too. Another favourite eatery was The Surfwings at the other end of the town next to another lovely beach, where you can sit and eat and drink and watch the sun go down over the sea.
The actual complex was lovely, the reception staff are friendly, the pools are beautiful, though i do agree with other reviews regarding the towels on sunloungers! We didnt try any of the food, as we ate out every day as there are that any places to try in the town! so cannot comment on that.
The entertainment was non existent, which is very disappointing as i felt we needed to go out into the town every evening, and it would of been nice to have the choice to of stayed on the complex of an evening.
We stayed in a ground floor 1 bed apartment, which on the whole is basic but it does the job, the ceiling fans are a godsend, though i do think they need tightening up a bit as they do look as if they could come crashing to the floor at anytime, especially if you put it on the highest speed! lol. Lots of wardrobe space, large bathroom with hairdryer and shower, kitchen with kettle, toaster, microwave and fridge. bedroom with 2 single beds, fold out sofabed in living area,
All in all, this a lovely relaxing resort and complex, though a little too quiet for us.

TIP - Take a walk and try out the free excercise equipment on the promenade walk, its on the red brick road beach walk, but instead of turning left to go to the beach, turn right and have a lovely relaxing walk until you see the bright yellow equipment! We loved it,, and couldnt get my 13yr old daughter off them!!!

We are still at the complex now and going home on 2 October. This complex could be really lovely but it it just isn't. Great location. Nicely set out. Nice pools. Our apartment was Ok but a little tired. Everything working ok. What absolutely staggered us is the so called "cleaning". It does not exist unless you beg for it. For the first 5 days we never even SAW any cleaners when you can't move for them normally elsewhere. In 30 degree heat you need sheets changing every 2 or3 days. Once a week we were told at reception. We just never let up with the miserable reception staff and got ours changed when we said it was needed! Unbelievable. Costa Teguise is lovely and we would come back here. Lots of bars, restaurants and shops and not on a "strip" which I personally hate. More a semi circle round the sea! Oh and buy the way the Grand Holiday reps are not just selling timeshare. We have got a great deal from them and there are no bricks or mortar involved at all!! Chinese whispers. Find out for yourself!

the oasis lanz is a beautiful place in a perfect location rooms large and clean pools and bar area are lovely.unfortunately this is where the plus factor ends.the current owners seem to use this great place to sell timeshare and to gain money for little or no effort. the owner interaction with guests did not exist.the entertainment was a shambles no effort made to improve or promote what poor fare was offered.as for the food on offer we attended a barbeque price 8 euros eight guests in there was no food left save a few scraps there was no baps or rolls with any .burgers or sausages,no attempt was made to make guests aware of the any entertainment if you could call it that save a small poster on a board. as for any chance of a sunbed against rules stated people laid towels on the ground long before the sunbeds were even unlocked.these same guests on bagging theyre bed then cleared off for the day denyiing any guest a chance to sit by the pool for the day, what anyone daft enough to have paid 6,000 for theyre timeshare makes of this one can only guess.it is such a shame as with owners with a eye to making the place better could really make this place shine,as it is now im afraid this oasis remains a mirage.

This location is not the type of holiday we usually go for, however, we got a good feel on groupon so decided to go. We went as 2 adults and 2 teenage girls. The hotel itself, is ideally located, 2 min from the shops and approx 5 min walk to the beach. The rooms were adequate but dated and needed fixing up, fans not working, beds breaking that sort of thing. We did nor really get service with a smile, but mostly got what we asked for. The pools were clean and the sun lounges were comfortable, more so than the beds! We hired a car and toured the island by ourselves, which can easily be done in 2 days.
The beach is clean and the fish are friendly. We took a beginners scuba dive in the cove and loved it!
The weekly market will give you plenty of chances to buy souvenirs, or gifts for yourself. There are markets on Sundays further afield, with more to offer and well worth the journey.
The cave with the crabs was very fascinating, and the house was beautiful. Even the girls enjoyed it here
If you are self catering a trip to the Lidl is much cheaper than buying local and is about a 15 min drive, reception will be able to direct you. There is allot more happening on the south of the island if it is action you are looking for, however if it is pictures and beauty your looking for then head north or to the national park. The coach trip at the national park is not for the faint hearted, and will equal most rides at Alton Towers!
For beauty I would return again, for things to to and people, not really my kind of place, but that is just me.

Location of this hotel could not be better - right in the centre of costa teguise town - spar right over the road with everything you could need (including gluten free food), loads of restaurants and beach. Hotel was pretty good - clean, nice and quiet, no real noise from the town and we weren't harrassed about time shares at all as some people have said. Apartments could do with updating but it was totally fine and great value for money.

Used to staying five star but would go back here.

Biggest tip is get out of the Brits Abroad parts of Lanzarote - hire a car and go exploring - there is just so much amazing stuff to see and driving was very very easy - see the Volcanoes, Lagomar, Cactus Gardens - everything - so much to see and do in the sunshine :)

Room Tip: We were in a third floor room - nice not to have people above you, and the ground floor rooms are al...
