After reading the reviews before our stay - 30th May - 9th June 2013 - we were a bit apprehensive, but no worries. Yes, there are ongoing works but it didn't spoil our holiday even though we were right next door to the block being worked on. Good variety of food for all tastes, hotel clean, maid service every day bar one, comfortable beds changed three times during our 10 days, added to which we met some very nice folks who felt the same as us. The only thing that does let it down is the nightly entertainment, but for something different try Cactus Jacks - quizzes, prize shots and happy hour 8.00 p.m. - 9.30 p.m. If you are looking for a small, friendly hotel then this is it.

Just got home from a weeks holiday staying at the ficus hotel. Let me start by mentioning the pool, oh my god its so cold lol. Rooms were in need of a lot of attention and mordenising but it was ok. Hotel staff were quite moody most of the time but the reps made up for this very friendly people. Food was lovely and quite a bit of variety. There were building works going on which we knew about before we got there but all in all it didn't effect our holiday really. The whole hotel just needs a make over and a lick of paint, and a heated pool (even the ice cubes didn't melt when you put them in the pool) we went with cosmos and never met a cosmos rep while we were out there????? Couldn't really work out why, lucky enough we didn't have any major problems while we were there so didn't really need them but just worrying if u did need them. All in all really enjoyable holiday with lovely people

Stayed at The Ficus Apartments from 23rd May until 31st May 2013 we were All Inclusive and were very pleased with the accommodation, food was great, entertainment provided by Lyndsay, Ainsley and Kim was good they really worked hard, the apartments are in the middle of a refurbishment and building noise was kept to a minimum. Staff worked extremely hard and were friendly - would return again

Holiday a lot better than expected after reading some of the bad reviews, hotel nice and clean, food good, rooms slightly dated but comfortable enough. Pool very cold but once you're in it's ok. Short walk to the beach and easy to get around the island with the local buses. Overall a good holiday and we would return again. :-)

We stayed at the Ficus from 20th May- 3rd June 2013, the apartments are being up-dated at the moment so a bit of noise from the work, (you only hear the work if you want to). Alejandro and the reception staff where very helpful nothing was too much trouble for them and always pleasant. The rooms are OK and cleaned regularly. The food is well prepared but goes cold quick and is very repetitive. The TC reps where brill (Kim, Ainsley,Lindsey and new arrival Nat.) they entertained the whole place with song, dance and games morning noon and night. (I don't know where they got the energy from.) I was not impressed with the all inclusive drinks, they came from a machine and i was wanting bar staff mixing the cocktails not pushing a button. You are just a short walk to the beach and other bars like Ferrari's just at the side of Spar shop, great breakfast Alex the owner was fun too. we also went for dinner in the restaurante Beijing with it's 6.50 euro per adult for all you can eat buffet made as you order it. IT WAS AWESOME VALUE. It is very windy which made the heat bearable for me.

The Ficus was good value for money the rooms were big and although they were in need of decorating they were clean. They are refurbishing the place at the moment so this will be an improvement. The food was very good there was plenty of choice. Breakfast was cereal eggs bacon, sausages cold meats fruit and croissants etc. Lunch & dinner consisted of salads, chips, rice, pasta chicken & pork or beef dishes such a roasted meats or meat in sauces or fish. They did an American night, Italian night and Spanish night. They offered ice cream, cake & jelly or cheese and biscuits. The staff were friendly and althought we went with low cost holidays we could still take part in the Thomas Cook activities if we wished and we could watched the entertainment which is not west end standards but Lynsey, Kim and Ainsley did there best and they were very friendly. You could always go to the other bars around the area which are a 10 minute walk away.

overall we were very pleased with this accommodation its not 5 star but it not 5 star prices either. The only downside was the weather which was cloudy we had 1 day of full sun and then 2 afternoons, never mind cant control the weather !!
