This apartment (Oceana 3) is right on the rocks: there is nothing between you and the waves, the sound of the sea, the view and some nice visiting seabirds (we regularly saw a curlew). It is a good base for cycling with several bike hire shops within 5 km in Costa Teguise. It is within an easy drive to Lidl and Eurospar (but a bit of a hike if no car), and has on-road parking directly outside. It is a comfortable size for 2 people but although it has sleeping space for 4 adults, I think that could be cramped as there is relatively limited living room accomodation and only one bathroom. There is fast reliable wifi and a good selection of TV channels including terrestrial British channels. The fridge/freezer is spacious and there is a good supply of hot running water.
There is, however, no getting away from the need to upgrade a lot of the provisions within the apartment. The crockery is mostly chipped (no dishwasher despite being listed in the description when we booked), with limited supplies (3 wine glasses, 3 side plates and 2 pasta dishes). Although well-painted throughout with nice cushions, there was a damp smell to some areas (we arrived during a period of stormy weather when there was some water ingress at seaside windows) such as the under sink cupboard and main bedroom wardrobe, and the shower area had some mould which is not what you expect for the price paid. The sofa was badly stained and the chair in the living room was not well-cushioned. The patio furniture is old and poorly maintained and while the view from the patio area is stunning, space is limited and in shade in March after about 3 pm. Many of these issues just need a bit of investment in a property that has fantastic potential.
