Blue Sea Costa Teguise Beach

Firstly you cannot expect five star accommodation for the price you pay. The location was great, only a very short walk to the town centre and there is a back gate to the beach, but you have to walk a little further to get to the lovely sandy section. Because of this you could some time hear quite music in the distance. The rooms where very clean, as the maid came every day, and you can get fresh towels whenever you want by placing them in the bathtub, and the bed sheets were changed every other day. I personally found the beds comfortable, and we had an amazing balcony view. The only complaint on the room was that our bathtub wasn't the nicest.
The pools where cleaned daily, and there where almost enough sunbeds for everyone but its first come first serve. There were plenty of helpful staff, that were happy to help and gave useful information, The bars had a nice wide range of drinks, with plenty of friendly servers, despite the small size of the glasses. Overall the food was nice, but just some acquired taste, if not there are plenty of nearby restaurants. Very nice selection at breakfast, and the staff would even bring you you're drinks. Plenty of activities to do outside the hotel to, we went to the market and to the waterpark which was very good, but there is also things like golf, dolphin/whale watching, and swimming with sealions.

Room Tip: If you go to the water park don't pay for the sunbeds, you can just go on them anyway. If you go...

Location was briliiant as there were plenty of bars, restaurants and shops and another plus was that the apartments are overlooking the sea with beaches nearby. Staff were really friendly and food was ok, as you do get what you pay for. On the downside was that apartments were not really that clean and on the day that we were leaving, there was a cockroach in our room. Sheets and towels were changed on a regular basis, its just in need of a major refurbishment

The rudest reception staff I have ever met, especially the one with braces on her teeth..the apartments were clean (just) .. cracked painted baths.... the maid cleaned ???once during a 11 day holiday and our sheets changed that once... clean towels thrown on the rails... the beds hard and very uncomfortable as were the pillows and for goodness sake don't look at the green laticed bedheads as they are filthy and probably haven't been cleaned since the place was built given the lackadaisical attitude of the cleaners. Unfortunately we were all inclusive.. the food was always cold, the pitzas always burned.. the milk one end of the room and the cereals another....cups of tea either Earl Grey or herbal. The woman serving behind the pool bar was rude and offhand, obviously not very happy in her job and it certainly showed .. when she was asked for sandwiches she couldn't be bothered to butter the bread, her excuse was that Spaniards did not like butter in sandwiches and was most disgruntled when it was pointed out that we were English and we DO like butter in our sandwiches. Everything, including advice, was supplied with little grace. The only two staff members remotely likeable, was the girl who served in the bar and who had to supply music through her own ipod as the speakers were broken and wouldn't be replaced any time soon and (she could also not explain why the beer in the bar was served in a glass just bigger than a thimble) and the jolly Chef who was much much nicer than his food. And why have a dart board in the bar which we were not allowed to use, because every time a dart was thrown it fell down...but the management 'couldn't be bothered' to fix. We were also told that the Management considered that 'you get what you pay for'. Needless to say, although the situation and view is stunning, my family and I will absolutely and definitely not be visiting this place again. And we are not a drunken family, as has been suggested by some other reviewers that only drunks complain... we were also aware it was quite a cheap holiday, but you pay what you can afford and cheapness is not an excuse for rudeness, inedible food, sloppy service and a freezing cold pool. I

I can’t express how disgusting the food was! I’ll eat anything! But not at this hotel! I’ve never gone all-in’ before and I never will again. I ended up spending a fortune! We ate out every night and in the end even ate our breakfast elsewhere. The staff were good. The service was fine. The location was amazing. However Blue Sea are obviously neglecting this place. We were told there would be entertainment(not that that’s our thing at all) but when we walked through the hotel bar on our way to La Vida(a brilliant bar right next to the hotel) we saw that the entertainment was Star Trek on the telly... We walked through another night and Star Trek was on again but this time they had the disco lights on... So I suppose there was an effort made... This hotel is a good base for your holiday if you’re going to be out exploring and using the excellent local bars and restaurants, but if you’re the type that stays around the hotel relaxing or if you just want to cut costs by going all-in’ like us... Find a better hotel.

Room Tip: Request a sea view.

I spend 10 days in sea blue and it was the best holiday ever. Everyone was really friendly and helped us as much as they could! Without Ray Alan and Hector this holiday wouldn't be the same! Big thank you for all of you.

We arived on the 24th of july and was very worried by some of the comments but as we were b+b and knew where the location of the hotel was we thought it would be fine and as it was really only a base.

The room itself was fine no different to the gallion playa maybe slightly smaller but fine, the beds were a bit hard but ok but the bath was as others have stated painted over so when we had a bath we had floating paint flakes with us and the towel rail fell off everytime we took the towels off it.
The towels were changed every other day and bedding too you just had to put the towels in the bath.
I took a travel kettle and hairdryer as i knew there wasnt one so that was fine and our room was 334 so over looked the large pool and sea but the wardrobe door knob did keep falling off and on my arrival home have found it in my case (whoops).

The sunbeds around the pool did have towels on but there were plenty so it wasnt a problem, one very selfish family had their towels on by 7am but didnt actually use them til the afternoon which was taking the mickey somewhat.

The pool and surrounding area was cleaned every morning and was generally very clean and the water in them was no colder than in any other pool on holiday.

Food
We were b+b as it was only £50 more so for 2 weeks it wasnt much so the kids had this as we were not too bothered about breakfast but I still took them down for it and it was fine ...a bit repetitve maybe but its a 2 star hotel so you get what you pay for but all these people writing reviews about the food have got to understand that it is 2 star not 4star and you cannot possibly expect it to be wonderful.
We did eat at the pool bar one day the pizza was fine but my partner had spag bol and it was discusting! but we just didnt eat there again.
The location is brilliant.
We also did not have any problems with cockroaches or ants and didnt see either .
Room 230 seems to be a better room as it was empty and I noticed various official people being shown round it so it must be a better one to tempt people.

I would stay here again it was £395 B+B for 2 weeks for 2 adults and 2 children in school hols so how can you argue with that?

Room Tip: Ask for sea/pool view on a high floor there are only 3 ..fab views

After just 4days we had to move hotel...
The staff didn't even look as though they wanted to be there...which said it all to me...

Myself and my wife were supposed to be there fore 2weeks all inclusive, but after just 4 days we were on the phone to our operator who sorted us out with a new hotel.

Not only did we come across cockroaches in our room, but we never saw the pool area being hosed and we were standing on sticky drinks everywhere...
Our shower cubical was grimey and slimey and there was dirt in and around the fridge..
The food was just so bad! and i am not a fussy eater, but we ended up eating out every night.

It was literally disgusting. The only thing that was edible was the pizza as it was freshly made (but theres only so much pizza you can take)...
Please trust me on this, do not book this hotel unless you are looking for somewhere literally to rest your head...Nothing for kids, I eventually began to call it the prison camp as no one looked happy....

Drinks were ok, San Miguel on tap and coffee was ok...

In the end, we went to Club Siroco, which was great fun. All the families were super friendly as well as the staff! Various sports and an animation team for the kids. Drinks were fantastic and the food was really good, fresh fruit, veal, pork, pasta, fish, home made cake, just a great variety and vibe at the Siroco.

But don't go for the Blue Sea :(
