This hotel is in the perfect location, directly across the road from the beach. There are local shops nearby ie. supermarket, toys, alcohol, nik naks etc with local restuarants. The hotel is very clean and the grounds are immaculate. The apartments are spacious and fully equipped to meet all of your needs. The only day your room is not cleaned is a Friday, apart from that room is cleaned every day. Staff are helpful and friendly and work 24/7 to keep kids amused. There is a chute in the large swimming pool at the deep end. The food is basic but there is a wide choice, and we have had no sore tummy's in the past 4 years which says something. Great holiday can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: Stayed in different parts of the complex and haven't had a problem.

This holiday was very different for us as normally we would avoid any child friendly hotels - however this year we holidayed with my daughter, her husband and our two grandchildren, ages 1 and 3 plus my husband's brother and his partner. We chose this hotel purely because of its childrens facilities.

FLIGHT. We flew with Monarch and had very good flights both outbound and inbound. However, one recommendation would be to upgrade to extra legroom seats - the standard seating is extremely cramped.

RECEPTION / CHECK IN. First impressions of the hotel on arrival were not great. The outside of the hotel looks in need of a paint job and the reception area is very dated. When we arrived there were a couple of people waiting and only one person checking in new arrivals so the wait was considerable. However, in fairness to the girl on reception she was very polite and helpful.

ROOMS. The rooms are in blocks surrounding the pool area on two / three floors. We had a ground floor room which consisted of a lounge area with kitchenette, full bathroom and separate bedroom with twin beds. The beds were very comfortable and there were extra pillows and blankets (not needed) in the wardrobe. There were two TV's one in the lounge area and one in the bedroom. The kitchenette had a full size oven, 3 electric rings, a fridge with a small freezer section and an electric kettle. There were adequate plates, saucepans and cutlery if you were self catering. We were all inclusive but the kitchenette area was useful for our daugher for heating the baby's milk. We had a double terrace and interconnecting doors between our room and our daughter's room which was handy for the children to get to both of us without having to go outside. The towels were of good quality and were changed whenever required - the sheets were changed once during the week we stayed.

POOL AREA. The pool area was quite spacious with plenty of sun beds and a few sun shades which are fixed to the ground so cannot be moved. Personally I do not think there were enough sun shades. It is possible to hire mattresses for the sun beds at 1Euro per day and also to hire towels for use by the pool which were also 1Euro per day. We did not have a problem getting sun beds at all and the hotel has a no-reserve policy which seems to work. The pool and surrounding area was cleaned every day. Pool is very cold. There is a separate baby pool and also a playground for smaller children.

FOOD/RESTAURANT Breakfast was by far the best meal of the day. A very good selection of cold meat, cheese, yoghurt, fresh fruit, bacon, sausages, beans, mushrooms, eggs (boiled, scrambled or fried), toast, cereal, tea, coffee, juice. Lunch and dinner were pretty mediocre with the same type of food appearing each day. There was always something reasonable to eat but I don't think the hotel will ever win any awards for its culinary skills. The restaurant itself wasn't particularly comfortable but it was adequate and the staff made sure the tables were cleared very quickly. There were plenty of highchairs available. Beer, wine and soft drinks were available at lunch and dinner (serve yourself).

ENTERTAINMENT. The entertainment team worked so hard during the day and night. We didn't see any professional shows during our stay but the entertainment provided was still pretty good and definitely better than some hotels we have stayed in. I would say it was mainly done for the children but even so it was done well.

OVERALL: If you are looking for a hotel with excellent food and no children this is definitely not the place to go. However, if you want to be near to the beach, have plenty of entertainment for your children and are not too fussy on what you eat then this is the perfect place to go. One thing we noticed was that although there were lots of children at the hotel none of them were out of control and running riot which is something we have encountered before. All the parents seemed to keep control over their children which made it a far more pleasant experience. All the staff at the hotel were very friendly, polite and helpful

TIPS: If you are considering all inclusive and are travelling as a family we noticed the hotel were offering an upgrade from half board to all inclusive for two adults and one child for 44 Euros per day. There were also other upgrades available and it may be worth checking with the hotel direct before you book just to see if it would be worth booking half board and upgrading when you get there.

CAR HIRE: We don't have credit cards and believed that it was very difficult to hire a car without one. However, we called into PlusCar which is opposite the hotel and enquiried about hiring a car for a couple of days. This was done, no problem, without a credit card. We were told that unless we had wanted to hire a convertible or very expensive model then no credit card was necessary. This company also have branches in Tenerife and Fuerteventura and we were told the same policy applies there.

Room Tip: If you want a quiet room ask for one away from the reception area. We were in block IV which was ve...

This is THE best hotel we have stayed in. The staff are out of this world, nothing is too much trouble for them. The animation team is amazing and if visiting this hotel whilst they perform the Michael Jackson HISTORY night, make sure you dont miss it, its amazing. The only fault i can pick on with this hotel is some rooms dont have air conditioning but if windows are left slightly open then the breeze it creates is ample to keep you cool. My 12 yr old daughter cried when we left as she had grown that fond of Patri, Bas, Eme and Dijana that she didnt want to leave them. My 2 yr old loved Baby club, Nerea and Petra are great with the little ones and felt secure leaving the baby with them.

This hotel and its beautiful pool are a little slice of paradise and i would go back tomorrow if i could. I only left the hotel 3 times during the week as everything you need, is right there waiting for you once you check in, IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN, BOOK THIS HOTEL NOW, YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!! Were counting down the days til we can go again :-(

Room Tip: ask for a room with a pool view or a ground flower apartment if you have children

We stayed there in May half term for 2 weeks - Half Board, and my 2 kids absolutely loved it! They loved the mini disco, but for me and my husband, the shows were a bit cringing at times and so not for us! However, the entertainment team worked very hard, as did all the staff, who couldn't do enough for you - so friendly!! The hotel itself is very clean, and although the rooms are basic, it is 3 star- so what can you expect?! Although this hotel is definitely the best 3 star we have ever stayed in - with the activities on offer even surpassing that of many 3 and 4 star hotels we have stayed in. However, we found staying half board was highly expensive - particularly in the hotel itself. For example, at dinner, drinks are not included and we found the water to be highly expensive - the only hotel I have ever stayed in that gives a small bottle of water, but at an extortionate price - even paying more than an 8litre bottle of water up the road at the supermarket. The price of water for the size of the bottle was way too expensive and in the heat is needed, and so I would recommend going all inclusive to cover the cost of buying drinks, particularly water in the restaurant, but the food is not of good standard and was highly repetitive! Overall we had a fabulous hotel, but the food and the extortionate price of water in the restaurant needs to be addressed!

Room Tip: bottom rooms have huge terrace!

We stayed B&B for 1 week with 2 kids under 5. Its quiet a big resort with most amenities on site. Appears very clean and well kept. Our apartment was a 2 bed 2 bathroom and quiet big. Top floor. My extended family stayed in a one bedroom. The good points are that the hotel night time entertainment was second to none. Well done..but it was mainly geared towards the German speaking kids as was the kiddies clubs. The bar area for food is beside the pool but they do not have menus out on the table. So it took us untill day 3 to figure out that there was one. It appears they do not want to serve food or maybe the woman that works there is'nt bothered. Menus are put away in a drawer. If you are into all inclusive that's grand but for me to sit in the same restaurant for 2 weeks is a bit mind bending. My family stayed on the ground floor and late one night they arrived back to cockroaches 5-6 of them on the kitchen counter. They packed up and plonked themselves in reception untill they got another room. The did but night porter was not a happy man.. Now my main issue with the hotel is that with-in 24 hrs of returning home my 4 year old had to go to the dr with scabies/bedbugs. We are still in shock and all the family had to be treated. Bed lined thrown away etc. Its been 6 days now since my e-mail to hotel and no feedback. we stayed in room 278 the daisy room. Otherwise Costa Teguise was a lovely place.

Room Tip: Pick a top floor apartment

I would first like to thank you very much for taking the time and trouble to write down all your comments about the different facilities and services from our Hotel H10 Lanzarote Gardens. It is always very important for us to know how our guests are felling in our hotel, because we would really like to do our best to make your holiday here as pleasant as possible. Our "Blue Team" will be greatly encouraged by your kind remarks and we will keep trying to cover all the nationalities we have in the hotel which is a mix between germans, english and spanish guests.
Secondly, please accept our apologies for not having answered your mail send to the hotel inmediately when it arrives as I were out of the Island. Our staff made the investigations about what has happened but there are no signs at all of bed bugs in the rooom. This room has been renovated in 2009 with new matresses, new beds and we have a strict control about the washing procedure in the hotel. The room was occupied before you came and new guests arrived the day after your departure. No complaints at all and no signs of what you state.
It would give me great pleasure to welcome you back in our Hotel to give us the chance to recuperate the confidence in us.
Yours sincerely

i read all the reviews before i booked this hotel as it was my job to find a good holiday for my family. on the whole the hotel is fantastic for children although the evening entertainment didnt start till late, so if you have little ones it may be hard to keep them awake! the cleaning staff are brilliant, maid service 6 days a week, towels and bedding changed daily and floors mopped, they worked very hard! the hotel in general is very very clean, the pools are also very clean and my kids loved it couldnt get them out all day! now the downsides for me: the food was poor, same choice most days and out of the 6 evening meals we found it hard on 2 occasions to find anything the kids would eat! the childrens buffet was small and no choice at all so my children often ate from our buffet, also if your half board you have to pay for your drinks that you have with your dinner and if you bring your own you get charged again!! The worst point was sleep, the rooms are joined by 2 doors so u can hear everything next door is doing and also the rooms above, we could hear evey word and every step they made and toilet visits, if we went again i would ask for a top floor room! so would i go again? yes i would but i would stay all inclusive(just for the drinks and ice cream as its not cheap out there anymore 170 euro for a small water) and i would demand a top floor appartment. so to sum up, we had a fantastic holiday, you get what you pay for a 3 STAR hotel.

The H10 Lanzarote Gardens are much more than they seem when you first arrive. Our check in was quick and efficient and when we found our room discovered that my earlier email request for a 'high floor with pool view' had been provided. Our appartment was very clean and had all the amenities promised. Maid service is provided 6 days a week and towels are changed when required. We had a one bedroomed appartment which had TWO televisions, 1 in the lounge area and 1 in the bedroom, both with UK channels.
As we had opted for All Inclusive we enjoyed three meals a day, buffet stye in the main restaurant. Food was varied and good quality and in the main hot and plentiful. The red wine was very palatable and always on tap.
Entertainment and staff were excellent. Mainly a child orientated resort with limitless fun provided for all childrens ages, being a couple on our own with did not find this a problem. Would definitaly recommend this hotel to families looking for quality child care and fun, combined with a relaxing feel to the entire place.
If I had a niggle, it would be that having paid AI rates I found it strange you had to pay 1 euro a day to hire mattresses for your sun lounger.
Hotel is located across the road from a small shopping center which faces three good beaches.

Room Tip: Rooms on high floor have a view of the sea..
