We have had a brilliant holiday at this resort, the location could not be better for access to restaurants and bars. The rooms are basic but you get what you pay for. They are very clean and the beds are comfortable. Don't be fooled by the morning weather it always seems to start cloudy until 9.30am then turns scorchio! The constant breeze is welcomed but can turn cool in the evenings. We met some fantastic people and the local English residents are really friendly and helpful. The only downside is the complete lack of consideration by some other English holiday makers in the hotel. When returning from a night out the need to slam doors and the wearing of high heel shoes on tiled floors at 2am. We could not understand why people would want to drag chairs around the apartments above, below and to the side of us at 2.30am,but this can be said of any hotel in any location by any nationality. Saying all of this we are booking to return to the Mansion Nazaret in 6 months time.

Very clean, cleaned every other day. Great service, nice touch with the bread rolls on a morning.
Fantastic location, couldn't any closer to the main square, literally over the road. Would definitely recommend staying there. Free WiFi but can be a bit hit and miss depending on room location. Would stay there again though. Stayed between 18/06/13 and 23/06/13

My partner and I stayed here mid-june for one week self catering. At first we were very confused as to how we were supposed to check-in as the coach transfer dropped us off half way up the road and it was late at night. It wasn't until another tourist pointed out that the reception was the same for both the Apartmentos Nazaret and the Mansion Nazaret. When we first got into our room it stank of smoke, as if somebody had RECENTLY smoked in the bedroom. We didn't kick up a fuss however as we were starving so opened all the doors and windows and webt into the resort for dinner. We never ate at the hotel restaurant because there was so many wonderful places in the resort itself (La Vaca Loca - Argentinian BBQ, easily the best). We loved the complementary bread rolls every morning and the bottle of wine upon arrival too! Room was cleaned three times during our stay and she even did the dishes which blew us away. Pool area was so relaxing and quiet, mainly full of couples which was great for us! Getting a sun lounger was never a problem no matter how late you came down from your room. I would easily stay here again and have recommended it to all our family. Shame about the smell of smoke the first night though.

I booked this hotel as a cheap trip combined with flights to do some catch up diving in Lanzarote before trip to Australia later this year. My expectation was to be able to do some self catering but the facilities were not up to this. One large saucepan, kettle and coffee machine. So my cheap trip wasn't as had to eat out all the time.

Room was cleanish if you ignored the cobwebs, bed was comfortable. Big issue was lack of hot water, only way to shave was to boil the kettle and same to heat up bath.

Staff mostly very friendly with the exception of one person on reception.

Wouldn't stay there again.

My wife and I stayed here for a weeks s/catering in mid-June this year, having booked it back in December. First of all Mansion Nazaret Apartments and Hotel are interchangeable. Maybe years ago they were 2 different entities but today they are all the same, with entrance being gained via the reception at the Nazaret Apartments. You then walk through a long corridor that takes you to a separate area that may have been a hotel in the past.

The complex is situated about 5-10 minutes walk from the beach front with the main shopping and dining area just outside the front entrance, so the location is quite good. We had Apartment 2114 in the `hotel` part of the complex. Started off in 2113 but got a move next door as there was a bad damp smell in the first one. The apartment itself was large enough but quite dated, except for the nice 30" flat screen TV, with Sky News and a few other English channels.
A few of the bad things- there was a shared balcony which ran outside the front of the apartments on our floor, so not good for privacy. The kitchen area was tiny and was missing a lot of essentials- inc. a kettle (which we eventually got after 2 days) Bread knife (which never materialised even after 3 requests) etc. We tried to open the small window in the kitchen and the handle just came off in my hand (sorry about that!). The bedroom window faced out onto a small retail area, to the rear of our complex, which had a pub for locals that seemed to be open until 2 am, with the associated noise. So that window had to be kept closed. There several shortcuts into and out of the complex which meant it would have been easily accessible to any thieves etc but we had no problems during our stay and heard no rumours of any break-ins anywhere else.

To be truthful once we got used to the datedness of the place we actually got to like it Ok. The shared balcony did have tables and chairs outside each apartment and as the complex wasn't that busy, we didn't have too much of a problem with the privacy thing. The pool area was nice with a 5`6" deep pool that was cleaned every morning.
Some other good points- good soft liners for the sun loungers, of which there were plenty. The maids cleaned the apartments a bit on 2-3 occasions, when they also left clean towels. Bed linen wasn't changed during our stay but that's normal for a one week stay. Re the towels, for some reason they sometimes had a bit of a meaty smell of them ??

Would we go back to these apartments- probably not. But if you get them at a good price, overall I don't think you will be that disappointed with them. Think the TA rating of 3 1/2* is too high though. 2 1/2- 3 * at the highest.

Oh, the nicest and most unusual thing about this place. As mentioned by others- you do get a free welcome bottle of red win in your room when you arrive- quality a bit dodgey! And you do get a bread roll each, each morning, left in a bag hanging off your front door handle- always nice and fresh.

Room Tip: If you don't mind the communal balcony, room 2114 was Ok as you got a nice bit of early evening...

Dear Sir:

Thank you very much for choosing Mansion Nazaret for your holidays in Lanzarote. We appreciated all your comments. We would like to say that Mansion Nazaret is a complex built in 1997 in tradicitional canary style. All the furniture was hand made by craftmen from Lanzarote, in the village of Tiagua specially designed for Mansion Nazaret in 1997. Not all the rooms have shared balcony.

Reffering to cleaning service, our system is cleaning service alternative days, including clean towels and every four days sheets change. That is what we include in the price for all companies we work with.

Looking forwards to seeing you again

I have just come back from a week in Costa Teguise. We had room 126, on the 2nd (top) floor of the block. The steps up are a little narrow ( if you're being picky ) but really it shouldn't be an issue unless mobility in the normal sense is an issue. Their location is in the heart of the resort, a very good Spa supermarket is by the block and there is a massive choice of restaurants catering for all types of food within easy reach. Pricing through the resort was very reasonable, maybe due to the time, may well increase in peak season, in both the supermarkets and restaurants. The apartments themselves are very well maintained, our kitchen had a normal oven , microwave, and 4 ring halogen hob, with a decent, if not large working area between sink and hob. All cutlery, some pans , etc.. included. The staff clean the rooms every 2 days, changing the towels , a fresh roll each on your door in the morning, and ALL the staff were friendly and helpful. I had mislaid my white trousers last night, they'd been picked up when they changed the sheets, but the receptionist ofund them for me no trouble at all at 8 in the evening, so cannot complain at all. Also , very helpful in providing suggestions of where to eat for tapas / Spanish food, just a delight all in all.
My only negative would be some of the guests who leave towels out to "book" sunbeds and then disappear for hours when not using them , just plain selfish , but that is not the fault of the staff , its just sad! Would definitely stay here again, if coming back to Lanzarote.

We stayed here last week. Having chosen this hotel based on previous reviews, we are so pleased that we went. The room was clean and well maintained with a bottle of wine for us on arrival. Although not brand new, hairdryer, iron and various equipment on hand and working well. Staff friendly and helpful, hotel setting and pools fantastic. Location great for shops, beach, etc only 2 mins away. Good choice of breakfast and dinner available, however many restaurants wit more varied menus nearby. Would visit again if wanted a quiet getaway. Dee frm london
