I stayed here as a young couple, all inclusive for one week.

first impressions: great check in, showed a map of the hotel, restaurant/ bar opening times etc. requested a room with a walk in shower due to an injury, but did not receive this, instead a ground floor room.

Food: the food was not great and became repetitive the week we was there, although they did try their best to drum up some themed nights. The best meal of the day was breakfast, a wide choice. The all inclusive alcoholic drinks where okay but not the best.

Rooms: The rooms where pretty basic, on our arrival into our room we was greeted by a very unwelcoming lizard! Do not request a room on the ground floor! There is a lot of passing noise and noise from the floors above! Oh and cockroaches! The air con was actually freezing couldn't sleep with it on and couldn't sleep with it off.

Facilities/entertainment: the pool was large but very cold! Too cold for me to go in. The entertainment tried there best in the day to create activities in the day, also adult activities, mainly football that my partner took part in everyday. There was also shows on every night & football in the piano bar.

Location: there was a beach close to the hotel but the prettier beaches where a distance. We usually walked and it took us around 35 minutes, not what you want in 40oc heat. As far as night life goes there wasn't much for us to do, we usually ate out in the evening and went into the town where you can find some lovely restaurants at a reasonable price.

Overall the holiday wasn't really catered for younger couples, the hotel was all a little basic and I felt a bit let down, I have visited other Canary Islands and would recommended visiting one of those, I found Lanzarote in general was not as pretty and clean as the others. We were also caught up in a sand storm which had blown over from Africa which may have ruined our experience a bit as the visibility was bad and the heat was unbearable

Stayed at the Bluebay October half term week. We enjoyed our stay here, the hotel is well kept, clean and tidy and has very professional staff.
The food in the restaurant is good quality with enough variety so your meals do not become repetitive. There is two soups on, plenty of salads and meats, fish pasta etc. Having said that I still had a full english every morning - I'm on holiday!! The food at the pool bar didn't look so good (burgers, sausages, salad) so only really had the odd cup of chips and mayo to graze on around pool between meal times. The self service Cruz Campo lager is good, the vino average at best.
The pool could do with some TLC - there are lots of missing tiles - as previous reviews advised we took aqua shoes for the kids but actually didn't need them - told the kids to avoid walking where tiles were missing and not to pick any more off!!
There are 3 tennis courts and 1 football pitch around the back which were fine, there is also a gym with some basic equipment in.
The rooms are quite spacious - also have a little kitchen area with fridge which is handy - we were in C block 207 - looks out to the back of hotel, very quite road with sun all day. The toilet seat was broken which was repaired within 2 hrs, and the hair dryer broke which was also replaced within the hour - just one of those things.
Costa Teguise doesn't offer a great deal - I personally think its had its 'day in the sun'. Its ok but there's just no 'wow' factor about the place.

Overall the Bluebay is a good hotel, just let down a bit by the pool and resort.

Room Tip: C Block is quite - sun all day but no pool view.

I won't make this a long review, just an honest one! We stayed 10th - 17th November.

Food is very good, wide choice and hot, we never had a problem with cold food. Snacks at pool side are yummy if you miss breakfast or don't fancy a full lunch in the restaurant. Help yourself to soft drinks, beer and wine. Many cocktails are also AI, just ask at the bar. Ice creams available all day and toasted sandwiches available in the main restaurant from 10.30 till 11.30pm if you get the munches!

Pool is cold! But this didn't stop my 8yr old Daughter and Hubby going in (best if you get in quick)! Sun beds could do with a mattress but no bother getting a cheap lilo if you like the extra comfort. Kids entertainment team are fantastic, games around the pool are quiet and no one pushes you into anything, the whole entertainment team were professional and polite.

Apartment very good, maid service good. We asked for a pool and sea view and got both with a lovely large balcony. The cleanliness of the whole complex is a credit to the hotel staff, everything was spotless and you will always see someone with a cloth or a mop! Blocks A and B are the best, all music is finished by midnight so very quiet.

Lovely costal walk into town where there are some great bars and restaurants, we ate out one night and it made a nice change (ask reception to call for a taxi, 3 euros). Evening entertainment as you would expect, Daughter loved the kids disco and we stayed a couple of evening for the live acts, we were surprised at how good they were.

We meet some lovely people, everyone really friendly and that includes all the staff, they were so helpful and attentive.

All in all a fantastic holiday, we will be back!

stayed at this hotel 11-18 nov with my husband and 10yr and 6yr girls. The room was spacious and clean. There was a good choice of food. The food was fresh didn't appear recycled. Breakfast was a mix of cereal, continental, English, fruit and chips! There was always pasta, pizza, rice, veg chips, salad, available for both lunch and tea. There was always plenty of choice, freshly grilled meat and fish as well as other dishes. The outside bar was self service,
The entertain team offered a variety of activities, there was no pressure to participate. My girls loved kids club and mini disco, especially Lucy.
The pool was clean but cold, it didn't stop us getting in though.
Nice walk to beach and resort centre.
Staff always smiling and helpful.
Would defo go back.

We had a 10 day stay at the Bluebay at the beginning of October, my husband, myself, daughter and her husband and two grandchildren aged 5 and 2. The rooms were excellent, very modern and clean and very well appointed (including fridge, kettle, hob and sink) this was good for us as even though we were all inclusive. The daily activities for both young and old were excellent with no pressure if you just wanted to sunbathe. One critisism the sunbeds would have been a little more comfortable with a mattress as they were hard plastic. Also the pool was very cold. All evening entertainment was as it says very entertaining with the kids having their share first. The kids entertainment team were very good and interacted with kids of all ages. The food was good with something for everyone. One couple we spoke to complained the food was cold but we never found this, it was very satisfactory. The evening meal which had the roast pork was one of the best. All meals were hot and plenty of it. All the staff were very friendly, no complaints at all. My grandson was ill for 2 days and the maid couldn't have been more helpful. We would all definitely return and recommend this to all our friends. No negatives at all.

Room Tip: "A" block had the sun till early afternoon, overlooked the pool but wasn't noisy.

Just returned from a 2 week stay at the bluebay, this is a wonderful hotel and one we would return to. we normally book 4 star but as this hotel had rave reviews we thought we would give it a go, and how glad we were, a few tweeks and the bluebay would easily get it's 4th star.
Great location, 10 to 15 mins walk to town or 2.30 euros in taxi. come out of reception turn left then left again and follow the coastal path into town, it's a nice walk.
Meals were varied, breakfast lacked the extras but was ample, bacon, sausage, beans, tomato, eggs( fried one day, scrambled the next, omelette the next) plenty choice of cereals and fruit.
Evening meal was very good, always grilled fish or meat(usually pork or chicken) chips plus another style of potato, fresh veg, rice, pasta and a large salad bar. small selection of desserts (this needs improvement).
Snacks available from 11am unitl 5.30pm try to get them early when fresh as they stay there all day.
Drinks on the all inclusive are good quality, all locally produced including beer, spirits and a list of cocktails, blue moon being my favourite.
All in all this is a great hotel and we would go back.

Room Tip: Email hotel prior to arriving and request A block. this overlooks the pool and outside bar area.

Just back from our first visit to the island, and cant speak highly enough about the hotel and the resort. Will definitely return. Below is just our opinion:
Rooms - Spacious, clean and had all the necessaries (fridge, kettle, safe etc). Downside, could hear the neighbours tv quite early in the morning (but no different to other hotels in my experience. Fortunately they were not a couple of lovestruck teenagers!). Cleaners in every day, very friendly and left the room in top order.
Restaurant - Great choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the food was excellent. Anybody complaining about this must have extremely high standards. The wine may have drew the cheeks together, but you got used to it!
Pool - Great layout, and plenty of beds. Didn't seem to be the 6am phantom towel runners!! Pool bar had everything you would want (ie diy beer/soft drink dispensers), and always snacks available (burger, salad, chips etc).
Staff - Very helpful and friendly, apart from one sour faced receptionist (but by her own admission right enough, as she had been on a night out the previous evening lol)
Entertainment - We only really went to the kids disco as our wee one was too wee, but it was fine. Our 15mth old loved it, running about and doing the dances. Saw a rat pack tribute one night, and it was ok. No more or less than you would expect to be fair.
Guests - Just a general comment, but everybody seemed very friendly, and there was loads of other families, so we felt less self conscious about our wee boy at meal times. The good thing about the restaurant though, they put all the families together so other guests wouldn't have to bother with the potential disturbance.
Location - Fine. A bit of a walk down (15mins or so) to the beach and town centre, but useful to burn off the calories.
Costa Teguise - We went to the Jablilla (apologies if incorrectly spelt) as it was great for the wee fella. Seemed to be loads of good beaches though. The promenade is lovely. At night there's loads of good restaurants (we went to el patio despite being All Inc and it was excellent). The square is a nice setting at night (we had parents with us for babysitting duties), and also good bars with plenty going on on the beach front.
Overall, we had a great holiday. Weather wasn't fantastic, but probably suited us anyway.
