“great value for money”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 29, 2007

we stayed at this hotel for the half term week last Oct. First time in Lanzarote, costa teguise center was fairly quite, but good beaches and clean.
The hotel its self was on a all inclusive basis great when you have 2 lads with you and 2 adults who like the odd tipple (ha ha)! Food was good and plenty of choice, (even for the more fussy easters) at brek, lunch and dinner they even provided pack lunch for day trippers.
The guests were about 50/50 english and spanish. Mainly families but overall a nice friendly group of people with whom ours kids made great friends ( unlike our experience of a tenerife hotel, chav city). Staff were friendly, evening entertainment could have been better and often didn't start till 10pm.
However, overall a really good holiday and I would definatly return to lanzarote in Oct - weather was lovely.
Only 2 downsides a good walk to town centre, shops bars etc and the restaurants air con was broke which meant evening meal times were uncomfortable, and a fight which guests could sit closest to the doors.

My husband and 3 year old daughter have just come back from a last minute late holiday at this hotel. Although I don't think it would have suited the 3 teenage sons who didn't want to come, it was perfect for my daughter. As it was so late in the year the hotel was very quiet which meant that all the brits got to know each other and it turned into a lovely house party in the sun. The mums sat round chatting, the dads played games with the entertainer sergio and the kids all played nicely together. Sergio did a wonderful job entertaining us each evening and my usually quiet husband ended up on the stage nearly every night which made the whole experience even more memorable! Originally we were given a ground floor room by the road, but when I asked to move I was immeditately given a key to a room overlooking the pool. That was just one of the advantages of taking a holiday at this time of year. There are 2 english girls who work on reception and the bar and it was so nice to be understood, but all the other staff did understand as much as they needed to. All but one of the men on the bar were very pleasant, and I think he was just being viligent that the all-inclusive crowd didn't drink the bar dry. The beds were so hard though I had a bad back when I returned. I did ask why they were so hard and was told that everything in C block had been refurbished and so my mattress was new.

It is a bit of a walk and how we wished we'd taken the pushchair. We had hired a car to pick up from the airport and have for the week and this proved to be a good idea. We saw most of the island on the 2 cloudy days and did the camel ride in the national part which was excellent value and great fun. We sat on the beach wondering abouth chrismas present for the children and looked at the blue sky, totally amazed that we were here in this lovely place and it was December on Friday!

All in all it was lovely, we left the horrible weather behind and had a week away from it all which is exactly what we wanted.

  • Liked — very clean and spacious
  • Disliked — the beds were too hard!
  • Tips/Secrets — If taking a youngster who doesn't like to walk take the pushchair, hire a car when you get there its slightly cheaper, don't bother with the water park its expensive, the charge extra for sunbeds etcs and the water is too cold f

Lovely hotel food nice and staff helpfull. We would definetly go to this resort again. WE did not have a problem with security, we locked our door every time we went out and had no problems. If you are getting a taxi to the beach ask the driver to take you to the centre there you will find the most beautiful lagoona with fish eating out of your hand and still waters.

  • Liked — pool
  • Disliked — noise
  • Tips/Secrets — cheap taxi's
