I first ate at El Mastil some 15 years ago when staying at the old Tachiche aparthotel. The kids used to love their pizzas (still good) but we tried the Chateaubriand and keep going back for it year after year. Have tried this steak in other restuarants, and in other countries, but nobody comes up to the quality of El Mastil. Just back and ate there 3 times, the chateaubriand twice. Service can be a bit erratic at times but if you are not in a rush (and who wants to be when on holiday) this is not a problem. It is a bit more expensive than a fillet steak and is carved at your table; ask for the alioli sauce. If one of you wants medium rare and the other medium, they will carve it and cook half the slices a bit longer to make it medium. Good stuff!
