“Swiss delight”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 21, 2014

Tucked away in a sheltered courtyard beside Pueblo Marinera, Ticino offers fine dining with a Swiss touch. The welcoming owners are from Lucerne, German-speakers by origin, but fluent in English. If you dine on the patio, you will be made comfortable with very cosy seat cushioning pads. The menu is not large, but absolutely everything on it meets with praise.
We went against the flow of the menu, which consists mainly of veal or beef dishes with noodles. We started with an ample carpaccio of salmon, simple but beautiful. We continued with a special dish, sole in lobster sauce, with rice. This was absolutely delicious, to the extent that we ended by using bread to mop up every last morsel from our plates.
To drink, a splendid, aromatic Malvasia Seco from the highly rated Bodegas los Bermejos here on Lanzarote. Then coffee and local brandy.
An absolutely beautiful meal, in gorgeous surroundings. Total cost (for 2 people) 59 Euros. Ticino does not accept credit/debit cards.

“Great Food, poor service”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 9, 2014 via mobile

Visited after reading reviews on Trip Advisor and arrived around 7.00pm. There was only one other family inside and a couple of tables outside. We were greeted promptly and our orders taken and drinks brought quickly too. We ordered fillet steaks, stroganoff and noodles and the food was excellent. We then waited at least 15 minutes after we had finished eating for the waitress to even acknowledge our presence again, let alone ask if we wanted dessert. She was more focused on the German speaking party outside on the patio. After around 20 minutes the kids were getting restless and we were finally able to ask for the bill-€79 for 5 meals, a bottle of wine and 3 soft drinks - and were then told that it was cash only! Luckily we had enough cash to pay! The food was excellent but if the restaurant becomes busy the one waitress really struggles to cope.

“Eventually made it after nine years”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 8, 2014

We've been visiting Costa Teguise for nine years & only on our most recent visit did we get round to eating here. We both really enjoyed it. It's a relatively short menu but seems to be well executed. I had simple but delicious tomato soup to start & a wonderful strogonoff for main. We both enjoyed our food & love the interior decoration. We'll definitely return.

“A lovely place”

This is a great little restaurant that should be so much busier. The food is fab and the owners are warm and very friendly. Definitely go there and eat, it's better than all that pizza stuff around
