We ate here three times during our week in Costa Teguise - twice for a tapas dinner and once for breakfast.
Each time we were made to feel really welcome by the waiting staff and we had amazing meals that were incredibly good value for money.
On the first night we went in, a family of five, and couldn't decide what we wanted - so we basically asked them to give us enough tapas to fill us up. Dish after dish of food appeared - estefado (beef stew), chicken stew, seafood salad, grilled sardines, garlic prawns, croquette potatoes, bread, dips and more. The table was full and so were we! I was a bit concerned about what the bill would be but this massive meal, plus large beers all round, worked out at about 10 euros each - Incredible value for money!
We went back two nights later, this time a party of seven, and asked for the same thing, with a few larger portions of our favourites, plus so,e things we'd not had the time before (Canarian potatoes and fried baby squid - both delicious) and again we all went away feeling stuffed.
The following morning was our last in the resort so we went in for breakfast. At 3 euros 50 it's not as cheap as some of the restaurants in the area but we all enjoyed our meals.
As well as breakfast and tapas there is a set menu that changes every day, though we didn't try that, and I also noticed on our last day that they were doing paella and a drink for under six euros. Bargain!
Don't be ut off by the location (right on the main road) or the slightly shabby appearance. This is a fantastic restaurant and if we return to Costa Teguise we'll be eating there again!
