“Amazing food, friendly staff, incredibly cheap!”
Reviewed July 11, 2014 via mobile

We ate here three times during our week in Costa Teguise - twice for a tapas dinner and once for breakfast.

Each time we were made to feel really welcome by the waiting staff and we had amazing meals that were incredibly good value for money.

On the first night we went in, a family of five, and couldn't decide what we wanted - so we basically asked them to give us enough tapas to fill us up. Dish after dish of food appeared - estefado (beef stew), chicken stew, seafood salad, grilled sardines, garlic prawns, croquette potatoes, bread, dips and more. The table was full and so were we! I was a bit concerned about what the bill would be but this massive meal, plus large beers all round, worked out at about 10 euros each - Incredible value for money!

We went back two nights later, this time a party of seven, and asked for the same thing, with a few larger portions of our favourites, plus so,e things we'd not had the time before (Canarian potatoes and fried baby squid - both delicious) and again we all went away feeling stuffed.

The following morning was our last in the resort so we went in for breakfast. At 3 euros 50 it's not as cheap as some of the restaurants in the area but we all enjoyed our meals.

As well as breakfast and tapas there is a set menu that changes every day, though we didn't try that, and I also noticed on our last day that they were doing paella and a drink for under six euros. Bargain!

Don't be ut off by the location (right on the main road) or the slightly shabby appearance. This is a fantastic restaurant and if we return to Costa Teguise we'll be eating there again!

“Not good at all!”
Reviewed July 11, 2014 via mobile

Been here before since Luis sold it many years ago and this was the worst it has been. The meatballs were little better than Campbell's out of a tin and the beef stew was mostly fat. It is time for this place to let go of its attachment to Luis. If you want the real Luis and real tapas head to El Guachinche de Luis.

“Great tapas, popular place.”
Reviewed June 23, 2014 via mobile

Since our first visit we have continued to visit Casa Luis and it remains a great choice. Great service, excellent food. As well as a good tapas menu, there is an excellent menu del dia, which changes daily. Popular with the locals, which is always a good sign and popular with us as well. If you enjoy decent food, either at lunch time or in the evening and want a light meal where the locals would go, try Casa Luis.

“Excellent”
Reviewed April 12, 2014 via mobile

Had an excellent tapas meal here for 3 of us. Very attentive good food nice atmosphere what more could you want. Did have a problem finding the place from the directions from trip advisor as it shows it where the school is. Keep on down the same road when you get to the second hyperdino supermarket it is next door. Well worth the effort of finding the place if you want something authentic. We will return. Excellent.
