Managed to eat here twice this year. Both times fantastic food (The swordfish and prawn special was something else - possibly the best swordfish fillets I've ever had).

Unbelievably when we called in to book a table (which the first available was 2 days later) the owners daughter recognised us from last March - she even told us that our favourite starter from last March had been tweaked (goats cheese). How she remembered us I don't know?

This years favourite starter is the curried croquettes mmmmmmmm! The wife also had her favourite main course steak with blackberries (yet again)

Cost for 2 was about €55 each visit - 2 starters, 2 mains and a beer and a glass of wine.

Will return next March (hopefully)

Friendly welcome. Interesting food. Obviously popular (we had to book 3/4 days in advance). Service fairly slow at start and then an unacceptably long gap (nearly an hour) after main course was cleared before we were offered desert or coffee. This did not seem to be because they were excessively busy, just chatting to other customers (presumably regulars). Others we spoke to had to ask for service too. In the end we declined anything further and just asked for the bill.

We visited El Navarro after reading the reviews, we popped in whilst out walking to book a table for the evening. We were lucky and 1table remained. It's a family run restaurant, daughter & father... Both of whom are very polite, friendly & attentive, nothing was too much trouble to make our evening fabulous. The food is freshly made, very tasty and beautifully served. The menu provides a wide selection with daily specials... We enjoyed the garlic prawns to start... Meaty and tasty.. I followed by the fish special which was lovely, my partner enjoyed a steak, perfectly cooked and seasoned. As the first evening was so wonderful we booked again, going twice within our 5 night stay... I would like to say a big thank you to both daughter & father for making our evenings special.. Just wish we could visit more often.. You have a beautiful restaurant. Best wishes from E'lupos

As others have said you generally need to book for this place. We ate on a Saturday night and have to say this place is by far the best on this strip for those staying at Santa Rosa. The owner was very friendly when I made the booking and the atmosphere in the restaurant itself is lovely.

As a non meat eater the choice is a bit limited but the mushroom pasta main course was lovely. The desserts are delicious. It was the dearest meal we had whilst on holiday (53 euros including 2 starters, 2 mains, one dessert and 3 very reasonably priced beers) but it was worth the money and my only regret is that we didn't eat there twice in the 9 nights we were in the resort.

If you are in any way undecided or put off by the price take it from a money conscious man such as myself: take the plunge: you won't be disappointed. This meal is my best memory of our holiday.
